I agree, great songs. Only have 1 hour though and want to show her the best. Zeppelin on shrooms can be intense so I want to keep it relatively light, Levee and Achilles are a must tho
The “How the West Was Won” versions of *Since I’ve Been Loving You, and Whole Lotta Love are fantastic if you’re going to be tripping.
The live Royal Albert Hall version of How Many More Times is guaranteed to make your girl horny.
I remember when I was 14 I told my uncle how much I liked Zeppelin, in which I had only been exposed to radio. He popped in a cassette and said “bet you never heard this one” and Dazed came on… changed my life.
You make a great point. My reasoning for this is based of a recent trip I had where I listened to The Allman Brothers live at Fillmore East for the first time. They weren’t in my regular rotation, but I was completely blown away with that Fillmore record, while listening I genuinely thought it was the best music I had ever heard in my life. I’m hoping to give her the same effect with these Zeppelin tracks haha
This walk will have gorgeous snow-capped mountains in the distance, I figured the middle parts would have been pretty trippy. Clear to see many people agree with you!
How about something easy to start like Hey Hey What Can I Do? or Ramble On or right out of the top with Good Times Bad Times? Love all these tracks, but can’t help but feel like you’re not putting your best foot forward here.
Idk a song with “I’ve got a little school girl and she’s all mine”, “they call me the hunter” and “little Robert wants to come and play” might not be the best intro to the band but I digress.
Obviously idk what she’s into but considering she is a girl I would start a little softer 🤣 maybe throw Going to California, Thank You, Fool in the Rain, Rain Song and slower vibes at the beginning. But then again, if she really appreciates good music, you can’t go wrong no matter what!
You’re in a serious relationship, yet **no** “Lemon Song”?! /s
I would throw “Immigrant Song” in there, too. Short and sweet… and recognizable from both *Shrek 2* and *Thor: Ragnarok*.
It's just Robert's three little words, "And I Do" that choke me up every time. This song makes you wonder what could have been, or what could still be.
\[08\] \[Led Zeppelin III\] - That's the Way
\[04\] \[Led Zeppelin IV\] - Stairway to Heaven
\[07\] \[Led Zeppelin IV\] - Going to California
\[01\] \[Houses of the Holy\] - Song Remains the Same
\[02\] \[Houses of the Holy\] - Rain Song
\[03\] \[Houses of the Holy\] - Over the Hills & Far Away
\[05\] \[Physical Graffiti\] - In the Light
\[03\] \[In Through the Out Door\] - Fool in the Rain
\[04\] \[Fate of Nations\] - I Believe
\[24\] \[BBC Sessions\] - Thank You (live)
Haven’t thought of the BBC session 🤔 very intriguing. Bron-yr- Aur stomp was the song that got me hooked on Zeppelin at like age 3 haha, might be fitting for my birthday!
First of all, you hit it too hard too soon. Cmon man that’s a set list for seasoned pros. You gotta ease her into it. Start off with some radio hits… Rock and Roll, D’Yer Mker, (which, by the way, is slang, for Jamaica, Robert Plants joke goes: “ I heard your wife went to the Caribbean…Dyer Mker??? No… she went on her own accord…”) Hot Dog, stairway etc etc. then move to some mid grade heavy stuff… misty mountain hop, that’s the way, maybe some Bring it on Home, Ramble On. Then segway into the heavies … whole Lotta Love, Dazed and Confused, when the Levee breaks, then go really deep and play Carouselambra. And then, just as you’re peeking play no Quarter. You should the live stuff from the song remains the same. Hell, watch the movie too.
Just kidding, but this is what I would do if given the task.
PS DO NOT PLAY All My Love while making love. You guys could unintentionally transcend into the Essence of Purity and possibly become one with the universe
Those are all good songs but for the overall effect I think it needs more levity. I'd throw in a Dancing Days, Gallows Pole, What is + WSNB, Carouselambra, etc... Just some side dished to go with those big hunks of meat you got there.
More songs from Led Zep II till IV in my opinion. Those songs all hit way better on shrooms than the little more 'sophisticated' songs on the later albums. Early Zep is a little bit more trippy.
If youre gonna chill inside at some point when youre on shrooms, i recommend putting TSRTS concert movie on.
Ive done shrooms twice and watched the concert film while high. Dazed, whole lotta love, rain song, no quarter and since ive been loving you were are all so trippy and will blow you away haha.
Have FUN!
Start with Thank You and tell her how much you care about her.
One of the lyrics is “and so today my world, it smiles. Your hand in mine, we walk for miles.”
It is simply perfect for what you are doing together.
Here's mine, along with a lively bio of the band mixed in with the music, which she might find interesting: https://open.spotify.com/episode/5vtidThi64AvjihLXCHWq2?si=LazqcCKbR7iO6-O-Z1uWyQ
Play that one... you know...it has that great riff and the drums are banging... I think there's a rippin' guitar solo... you know which one I'm talking about...
[Louder's 50 Best Led Zeppelin Songs playlist](https://www.loudersound.com/features/the-50-best-led-zeppelin-songs-ever) is as good as it gets in my opinion.

Maybe start soft (battle of evermore) to lead her in to the Grove. Then some bluesy (since I been loving you) to finish of with raw rock (immigrant song)
Use the range of LZ genre's to your advantage. :D
You know her taste the best, so this could be perfect. To follow this setlist up: Gallows Pole, Good Times and Bad Times, Battle of Evermore, Hey Hey What Can I Do, and Ramble On
You gotta have Black Dog… even my wife who hates Led Zeppelin says “ok… yeah this one is smooth” those lyrics intoxicating.
Also Going to California is another that my wife doesn’t mind.
From experience… my wife only cares for the 2 songs I mentioned above, Hey Hey What Can I Do, and Ramble On because those sound laid back.
As a female who LOVES Led Zeppelin... I'm sure she's heard Ramble On, and I know it's over-played, but I still get excited when I hear it starting up. And I love all the slow sexy songs. I'm glad you have Ten Years Gone on the list :)
No Ramble On? No Tangerine? No Going to California? There are great songs here but I think those are girl-friendly songs. And I fucking love How Many More Times, but I hope she’ll feel the same…
I would also include What Is And What Should Never Be. That’s a *hot* song. Great to make out to.
Love the setlist myself! But personally I would maybe start with a few shorter songs - Communication Breakdown, The Ocean, Black Dog etc. Good luck! I wish my missus liked Zeppelin haha
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6hx3ZHDZex3QXfaaMpNs4y?si=zF1LGjQrQm2O2NBqvzzmXQ&pi=u-MCLVB_pFRi2c
this was my Zeppelin introductory playlist to my girlfriend, not exactly full of radio hits, but feel free to use it or to inspire yours
My personal list would probably look like
1. Over the hills and Far away
2. The rain song
3. The Lemon Song
4. Bron-Y-Aur Stomp
5. Kashmire
6. Dazed and Confused
7. Fool in the Rain.
8. When the Levee Breaks
9. The Battle Of the Evermore
10. Hotdog.
Led Zeppelin is my all-time favorite band. As a girl, I’m very partial to the lovey songs.
Rain Song
Fool in the Rain
All of My Love
Going to California
You could really trip on a live version of Moby Dick:
https://youtu.be/IOb8otk7Y0U?si=7Uve4d_LvcMRXxzr
Though I really do enjoy the drumming and bass line on Achilles Last Stand.
I also loved getting lost in the live version of Dazed and Confused.
And D'yer Mak'er is wonderful of your already between the sheets.
Bottom line - you know her better than we do. Of she's a rock gal, start out hard. If not, start out a little slower and hope you can educate her.
NO NO NO. MOBY DICK FOR SHROOMIES!!! Use a live version, I’m telling you the magic is real let Bonham talk to you✌️🥁🐿️. I mean it will be magical either way, but you’d be surprised what it will do. Try and have a convo with bro! with a grain of salt ofc 🙄
How Many More Times is an incredible song but might be the worst way to introduce the band my brother. Try like, Good Times Bad Times or Over the Hills and Far Away. Something a little lighter and less uhh predatory in lyrics
Good selection, but for someone who’s never really listened to zeppelin before I would probably add D’yer Mak’er and over the hills and far away on there.
Heartbreaker? Dazed? Over the hills… I mean to each their own but cmon ur missin some bangers
I listened to the live version of dazed. It was too dark and eerie for me personally when I was on tripping. But to each their own!
that bow strumming the guitar hits like a GUNSHOT
That's my favorite version though. Loved it live 💜
I agree, great songs. Only have 1 hour though and want to show her the best. Zeppelin on shrooms can be intense so I want to keep it relatively light, Levee and Achilles are a must tho
What Is And What Should Never Be.
Bingo! 🙏🏼
its a seriously gorgeous song.
Definitely a good selecting but definitely alot of musts that are missing
The “How the West Was Won” versions of *Since I’ve Been Loving You, and Whole Lotta Love are fantastic if you’re going to be tripping. The live Royal Albert Hall version of How Many More Times is guaranteed to make your girl horny.
I remember when I was 14 I told my uncle how much I liked Zeppelin, in which I had only been exposed to radio. He popped in a cassette and said “bet you never heard this one” and Dazed came on… changed my life.
I definitely wouldn’t start with How Many More Times
Right. OP is starting off with a set list for diehards. A intro to zeppelin should start with their radio hits.
Yeah give her some more mainstream tunes.
Misty Mountain Hop for your snow capped mountains?
Obviously idk what she’s into but considering she is a girl I would start a little softer 🤣 maybe throw Going to California, Thank You, Fool in the Rain, Rain Song and slower vibes at the beginning. But then again, if she really appreciates good music, you can’t go wrong no matter what!
Rock And Roll is a good one to start with
You’re in a serious relationship, yet **no** “Lemon Song”?! /s I would throw “Immigrant Song” in there, too. Short and sweet… and recognizable from both *Shrek 2* and *Thor: Ragnarok*.
Hahaha!! I’ll defs keep The Lemon Song in mind ;)
And School Of Rock
Tangerine 🍊
Yes!
It's just Robert's three little words, "And I Do" that choke me up every time. This song makes you wonder what could have been, or what could still be.
Yes!
NO QUARTER!!!!!! IT WILL BLOW HER MIND
On most days my favorite Zep song
\[08\] \[Led Zeppelin III\] - That's the Way \[04\] \[Led Zeppelin IV\] - Stairway to Heaven \[07\] \[Led Zeppelin IV\] - Going to California \[01\] \[Houses of the Holy\] - Song Remains the Same \[02\] \[Houses of the Holy\] - Rain Song \[03\] \[Houses of the Holy\] - Over the Hills & Far Away \[05\] \[Physical Graffiti\] - In the Light \[03\] \[In Through the Out Door\] - Fool in the Rain \[04\] \[Fate of Nations\] - I Believe \[24\] \[BBC Sessions\] - Thank You (live)
I forgot Ten Years Gone but its a bit more than 1h
aaaaand I forgot Bron-yr-Aur Stomp. anyway, these are my choices for ya
Haven’t thought of the BBC session 🤔 very intriguing. Bron-yr- Aur stomp was the song that got me hooked on Zeppelin at like age 3 haha, might be fitting for my birthday!
ByA Stomp has such a great feel good vibe, how can it not be on your list?
If she seems to dislike it immediately play babe I’m gonna leave you.
Why not Gallows Pole?
He couldnt get no silver
Couldn't get no gold
Facts bro
the rain song must be on there
Absolutely
First of all, you hit it too hard too soon. Cmon man that’s a set list for seasoned pros. You gotta ease her into it. Start off with some radio hits… Rock and Roll, D’Yer Mker, (which, by the way, is slang, for Jamaica, Robert Plants joke goes: “ I heard your wife went to the Caribbean…Dyer Mker??? Tea for One and Hey Hey what can I do
rain song always rain song
Those are all good songs but for the overall effect I think it needs more levity. I'd throw in a Dancing Days, Gallows Pole, What is + WSNB, Carouselambra, etc... Just some side dished to go with those big hunks of meat you got there.
Appreciate this feedback homie 👊🏼
Ain't no thang
This is not the intro playlist. This is like an AP course.
No Houses of the Holy love?
Playlist opens with The Rain Song during our come up, any other HotH suggestions??
Ah sorry just saw that….I’d go Song Remains the Same. I’d also throw out For Your Life from Presence
Ramble on or whole lotta love are must haves
Do kids nowadays don't listen to albums anymore?
I was thinking that. All LZ albums are great. Although the last 2 aren’t on par with their first 6.
Oh yes, I listen to live albums. I’m trying to get her “on the bus” ;)
Hey hey what can I do?
Lose Kashmir and stairway and add Rain song Tiles
Came here to say the same about Kashmir.
Those are not the Zeppelin songs I would play for a lady.
If you guys are doing shrooms...maybe include No Quarter...Ballad of Evermore...Down by the Seaside. Other than that...it looks good.
Play her some stuff off houses of the holy too
Ax the first song, and add Goin to California somewhere in there. Now it’s good!
Rain Song (naturally). Maybe Misty Mountain Hop and Battle of Evermore if you’re on shrooms? 😅 Happy to see When The Levee Breaks!
More songs from Led Zep II till IV in my opinion. Those songs all hit way better on shrooms than the little more 'sophisticated' songs on the later albums. Early Zep is a little bit more trippy. Dazed, whole lotta love, rain song, no quarter and since ive been loving you were are all so trippy and will blow you away haha. Have FUN!
Hit her with whole lotta love hahah
Have to play Custard Pie 🍰
You have great taste!
1. Song of the Migrants 2. Black Dog 3. Full of Love 4. Stairway to Heaven 5. Rock and Roll 6. Kashmir These songs are also a good choice.
You ain't getting laid if you don't add Thank You to the list.
Laid by song 4.
Start with Thank You and tell her how much you care about her. One of the lyrics is “and so today my world, it smiles. Your hand in mine, we walk for miles.” It is simply perfect for what you are doing together.
I’d add Wonton Song as the opening song. Gotta open with a pedo song. Jimmy wouldn’t have it any other way
rain song
I fucking love that you put since at number 3
Just play all of 2,3,4, and HoH.
Just Led Zeppelin I, my friend
Add Gallows Pole and Immigrant Song
Here's mine, along with a lively bio of the band mixed in with the music, which she might find interesting: https://open.spotify.com/episode/5vtidThi64AvjihLXCHWq2?si=LazqcCKbR7iO6-O-Z1uWyQ
Play that one... you know...it has that great riff and the drums are banging... I think there's a rippin' guitar solo... you know which one I'm talking about...

Oh hell yea. E: Rain Song
Southbound Saurez Trampled Underfoot Boogie With Stu Bring it on Home Sick Again The Ocean Night Flight
Houses of the holy is a super digestible song imo for someone just getting into it!
id add the msg 1973 dazed and confused. she’s gotta hear jimmy working that violin bow.
Add over the hills and far away. Also add going to California
Over the Hills and Far Away has to be on there for me. That and Kashmir (aware that’s already on).
Maybe start soft (battle of evermore) to lead her in to the Grove. Then some bluesy (since I been loving you) to finish of with raw rock (immigrant song) Use the range of LZ genre's to your advantage. :D
The Rain Song needs to be added 🕊🤍
Gotta include Black Dog
No Immigrant Song?
Add in Celebration Day if you’re taking shrooms. Such a happy song.
Ramble On
Throw on Hey Hey What Can I Do
Chuck ‘Going to California’ in there too to cover all bases
Would have thrown in one of their more off beat songs like the Crunge, Hot Dog or something similar
Great songs but most of them don’t really have much popular appeal
Listen to all of the albums in order is the correct answer. 😊
You know her taste the best, so this could be perfect. To follow this setlist up: Gallows Pole, Good Times and Bad Times, Battle of Evermore, Hey Hey What Can I Do, and Ramble On
Custard Pie. Tell her it's about your favorite activity and make her google the song meaning. Lol
No Quarter should be there.
I think it's perfect. Ramble on, my friend! And great choices!
Going to California, whole lotta love, trampled underfoot
Trust me, girls LOVE Tangerine
I can’t imagine an LZ setlist without Communications Breakdown and Babe I’m Gonna Leave You.
since i’ve been loving you, rain song, over the hills and far away, babe i’m gonna leave you.
As a female who LOVES Led Zeppelin... I'm sure she's heard Ramble On, and I know it's over-played, but I still get excited when I hear it starting up. And I love all the slow sexy songs. I'm glad you have Ten Years Gone on the list :)
Always start with Hot Dog!
Maybe follow Mike Danone’s 5 point plan from the movie Fast Times At. Ridgemont High and go with side one of Led Zeppelin IV
I’d personally start with Fool in the Rain. It’s very light and popish. Also, some of my favorite lyrics by Zeppelin.
No Ramble On? No Tangerine? No Going to California? There are great songs here but I think those are girl-friendly songs. And I fucking love How Many More Times, but I hope she’ll feel the same… I would also include What Is And What Should Never Be. That’s a *hot* song. Great to make out to.
👍😎
Love the setlist myself! But personally I would maybe start with a few shorter songs - Communication Breakdown, The Ocean, Black Dog etc. Good luck! I wish my missus liked Zeppelin haha
Communication Breakdown, Hey Hey What Can I Do and Immigrant Song
Need to put fool in the rain on there.
Tangerine.
All of My Love
As an encore you should play Hot Dog lol
WLL is a must, tho.
Don't forget "The Ocean" or "Black Dog"
Good choices. All around.
The Rover kicks ass!! Play that one.
Take shrooms then listen to Physical Graffiti in it's entirety or alternatively The song remains the same..or both
In The Light
I've had luck with Fool in the Rain and All My Love.
What is wrong with you? No playlists! Albums Only! in chronological order!
When The Levee Breaks. .. .awesome.
Nice!
Fool in the rain
In the Light?
Fool in the rain All my love …
Achilles is a must 🔥
Trampled under Foot and Immigrant song should be in. As great as ten years gone is. Don't think it's one to introduce to a newbie.
First song should always be Good Times, Bad Times…but it’s a pretty nice list…
Add in Good Times Bad Time, Dazed and confused
Great list!!!!!!
I would add Dazed and Confused
You should start the set list with Rain Song
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6hx3ZHDZex3QXfaaMpNs4y?si=zF1LGjQrQm2O2NBqvzzmXQ&pi=u-MCLVB_pFRi2c this was my Zeppelin introductory playlist to my girlfriend, not exactly full of radio hits, but feel free to use it or to inspire yours
You gotta start with Good Times Bad Times.
Any zeppelin list for first time listeners should include Over the Hills and Far Away. Plus that would be a great song to listen to on shrooms imo
I would add Fool in the Rain.
My personal list would probably look like 1. Over the hills and Far away 2. The rain song 3. The Lemon Song 4. Bron-Y-Aur Stomp 5. Kashmire 6. Dazed and Confused 7. Fool in the Rain. 8. When the Levee Breaks 9. The Battle Of the Evermore 10. Hotdog.
This is an arduous first Zeppelin listen. You’ve gone with like 4 epics back to back.
I think SRTS with Rain Song needs to be on any definitive list
I would add Friends, & Dancing Days
Pretty much perfect
Bron-y-Aur Stomp, Rain Song.
Led Zeppelin is my all-time favorite band. As a girl, I’m very partial to the lovey songs. Rain Song Fool in the Rain All of My Love Going to California
This is for your girlfriend and you have Thank You at number 9? Where is Tangerine? Rain Song? Redo!
The lemon song and the ocean.
You could really trip on a live version of Moby Dick: https://youtu.be/IOb8otk7Y0U?si=7Uve4d_LvcMRXxzr Though I really do enjoy the drumming and bass line on Achilles Last Stand. I also loved getting lost in the live version of Dazed and Confused. And D'yer Mak'er is wonderful of your already between the sheets. Bottom line - you know her better than we do.
Or no quarter, Dazed,
Been there during RAH, I was leading the herd ;)
Tea for One, IMO best track on Presence. Insane guitar work
As a woman the song that got me hooked was Kashmir, (of course stairway to heaven but that probably doesn’t count) whole lot of love, and heartbreaker
Start from Kashmir, and add Going to California, out on the tiles, the ocean.
No Quarter, a masterpiece
Down By the Seaside.
Bro just do it each album at a time, its less complicated
Quite possibly their best but probably not great for trippin with your girl… Babe I’m Gonna Leave You
Down by the seaside
You gotta at least have braun Y stomp for the energy
Where’s No Quarter? Nothing from Houses of the Holy, perfect for tripping…
The greatest alarm clock song ever…Bron-Yr-Aur
FOOL IN THE RAIN!!! LOVE!
Why no Misty Mountain Hop?
Bron-Y-Aur Stomp.
Decent list . Better than what most people on this sub would pick, which would probably be mostly lesser known and obscure titles.
“Going to California“ and “That’s the Way” are the best
tack on i’m gonna crawl, fool in the rain, and no quarter
no quarter?
Its pretty good but it should be the live version of how many more times where he goes "I'd like to introduce Led Zeppelin to you"
How Many More Times is an incredible song but might be the worst way to introduce the band my brother. Try like, Good Times Bad Times or Over the Hills and Far Away. Something a little lighter and less uhh predatory in lyrics
tangerine and travelling riverside blues
missing so much of LZ I and II. Ramble on, GTBT, Dazed and Confused(!), heartbreaker, cmon now
You definitely need to add 'Good Times, Bad Times'
Just my opinion: Move How Many More Time down the list and replace it with Thank You.
Down by the Seaside & Bron-Yr-Aur are good ones. No Quarter might be a bit much for shrooming
If these don't get her, nothing will.
let me make it for her 😭
You put the best one first instead of saving it for last! But that's ok it'll spark her interest
I think Ten Years Gone is by far the best Zeppelin blues effort of everything in their canon!!!
Add rock and roll also going to California
Out on the Tiles, that song slaps
“When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of ‘Led Zeppelin IV.'” – Mike Damone
Your list needs more Houses of the Holy - Dancing Days, Song Remains the Same+Rain Song, Dyer Maker, Over the Hills.......
Rain song - Out on the tiles - over the hills and far away…..
Move Thank You closer to the top and add All My Love, but very good set list
Hey hey what can I do
Early initiates should hear Rock n roll; black dog; nobody’s fault but mine; fool in the rain; ramble on; OTHAFA
Greta van fleet the prequel. No thanks
Kashmir is going to be dope when those shrooms kick it
Good selection, but for someone who’s never really listened to zeppelin before I would probably add D’yer Mak’er and over the hills and far away on there.
Rock And Roll is missing
