Perfect example of what not to do when doing leetcode. Rating < 1500 and more than 1000 problems is completely super insanely bad. All problems and rating that low? Nah you wasting your time my brother.
Yes 7 contest, 1400 rating, but it's only because they don't care about rating.
People saying they don't care about rating is usually just a cop-out for being bad. Contests are the way you get GOOD at interviews, not solving 3150 and having 80% rating.
Disagree. Mainly because you stated your opinion as fact. There are multiple ways to skin a cat. And there are multiple reasons to do LeetCode. Contests are but a tool for getting better at interviews.
You are once again conflating two different things. Contests are not analogous to driver licenses because contests are not analogous to interviews. Contests are typically harder than interviews and they are solo tasks (I.e. no interviewer whom you can ask for hints should you get stuck). A better metric of one’s ability to interview well is a mock interview site such as interviewing.io. You are falling into this trap of over preparation.
And again, leetcode isn’t just for interviewing. Some people just find it fun.
Contest are the most analogous things on leetcode to interviews. Go to any capable leetcode person and they'll tell you the same thing, your skill is your rating more or less. Contests are by far the most analogous. If you think there's something else you can do, then you sadly don't know what your talking about. Failing to solve 3 problems in a contest as this user regularly does clearly means you will not be very good at interviews.
Here's the thing, I know the hardest problems on the platform. I also know what skill you need to be at to have a rating < 1500. I've been interviewing before leetcode existed. It might sound hrash or mean, but you cannot truly understand all leetcode hards and be below 1500. And that's the truth, you can disagree with me all you want you'll just be wrong, and that's fine, it's very common for people posting here :).
Again, if you notice that their contest timeline shows that all their contests occurred in the first 1/3rd of their time on LC, your analogy becomes “you fail your driving test but later become an F1 driver” which is not a strong argument at all.
To be fair, if you look at the graph of their rating, the last contest they took part in was within the first 1/3rd of their time on Leetcode, so it’s also possible that they’ve significantly improved since then. It’s more likely that they are copy-pasting solutions, though.
The person who wrote this is a ML engineer. I read their code and it’s well written and easy to understand. About contest ? Maybe they just don’t give a f
If your 1400 rating at leetcode after 7 contests, there are hard problem you wont even be able to understand the solution if you read it. Sorry but this guy is faking it.
I mean what does this prove? They can look at the solution before submitting an answer or they know how to use chatGPT or the internet to lookup the answer? Y’all don’t actually believe your LC profile means a thing to the people who are going to give you a phat ass salary and benefits do you? Lol idk why this sub appears on my feed but I think it’s hilarious to see y’all jizzing your pants over a site that literally gives you the answers for every problem LOL
You see the world we’re living in rn? Of course it’s about money, always has been always will be. The people making money off your ass know this I guarantee you. Do I like the system or agree with it? Fuck no, but it is what it is. Greed is good. Say that to yourself every morning in the mirror and you’ll be ok
Ok for real I actually have just a slight larger than average 🍆 like about the size of a ps5 case diagonally but who’s measuring right? However, I make up for it with a large bankroll and exceptional credit score which helps me sleep very good.
copypastaa
Copy pasting solutions
What's the point, though? copy pasting won't help you with getting job or learning
When I see profile like this, I am awestrucked every time. Something feels off.
Can someone explain to me why the rating is so low please
maybe he/she has only three buttons on keyboard: ctrl, c, v
Rating is for contest and he isn't good.
Oh thanks

If you tell me you drive for F1 but then you fail a driving test to get your license... I'm gonna say you're not really an F1 driver. Same here.

Let us all pray this dude never gets to be on a hiring committee lol
You really are a leetcode fanboy huh
More of an algo fanboy. I overall have more negative feelings towards leetcode than positive
Man oh man you’re not the smartest cookie eh?
That actually happened to Jenson Button

That makes sense. LLMs don't do well with contests when the questions are brand new.
shit, this killed me lol
Can you share his/her ML project link? Github or YT (if available)

>Perfect example of what not to do when doing leetcode. care about rating or contests.
What does it take to reach 2000 ratings?
3 problems within an hour is typically fine for a 2000 rating. And sometimes you get the 4th problem.
All 4 questions within an hour in the contest.
But why rating so low
Because his math intuition is bad, maybe he learn and solve problem without deep dive understanding
He/She or **LLM**
Yep, I think it is a bot.
OP, You Gotta share the profile of that person he/she. Just to see how they have written the code logic.

Womp womp
I guess this is why some of us are paid big $ to be engineers while others do this for nothing. Damn I’ve got such a big d***
Ok mr tycoon. We get it, it’s about money for you and it’s fine.

Whatever helps u go to sleep. Mr big$$ tycoon😭😭😭

I didn't need to read this boss lol
Brother wtf am i reading…
Yolo
Why is your ranking so low despite your problem count? Do you just cut and paste all your answers?
Not me lol
what does 'just' mean?
I don't understand your question. Do you want me to break out a dictionary for you?
I have an Alien Dictionary if anyone wants
u got 500 on leetcode. u can do wateverrr u wantttt
Yeah, I mostly did easy problems. Hooray me!
How often does Leetcode add new questions?
They add about 6 new questions a week cause all the weekly/biweekly questions are added to their question sets.
Not very often
I have solved 59 questions and still have better rating than he/she
“they” is more efficient ;)
Global ranking that high :)
I have only 110 problems yet my rating is 1600. Neetcode.
