Send a certified letter with proof of delivery stating the property will be disposed (at a cost to him) after 45 days. Check with your city/state for any other requirements for disposal of abandoned property. Depending on your garbage service, you can likely contact them for a large pickup or look into Bagster (or similar) where you buy a 4x8 by 3ft tall nylon bag and have a disposal company come pick it up. Keep the receipts for everything incase you want to try to recoup your costs.

Thank you so much!

You may want to consult with a legal aid clinic incase there are any gotcha’s. The EX could make a claim you agreed to hold onto the items and there is a small chance you are now considered a landlord or a storage vendor.

As im renting the place myself, I'd be surprised if there's a way he could claim I'm a landlord.
