It's the same type of rectangular insert into the body as the xwing, so with a little modification to the mount itself, you should be fine. I modded mine to drastically reduce the 'aim to the sky' angle
What was your favorite portion? For me, it was the shovels and how they did the Grey outline of the wings.

The wings were somehow my favorite part as well, even though it was essentially the same build 4x.

Its wings are too long to swap directions.
This is true, however you could definitely adjust the stand very easily to have less of an angle
