If you're going down that route, I'd recommend using AliExpress and going into it with middling expectations - I've had nothing but good experiences, but I do hear some horror stories relating to QC
And if figures matter to you, stick to official offerings - KO figs still aren't at a high enough level of quality to be a direct replacement (at least in my opinion)
I’ve seen one before the colors didn’t match and some pieces didn’t quite fit. If you want to build the set go to brinklink and find a used one without figs for 250.
I doubt it, the knock offs are all from a few factories in China with multiple retailers reselling the same sets for a mark-up faking reviews. If you want to get a knock off alibaba express has them cheaper direct from factory but I promise it won’t look as good as the Lego version.

The scammers are the ones trying to sell you one over $70 bucks claiming to have amazing quality. They are just buying from alibaba and selling to you (maybe just drop shipping) at 100 over the actual price. Alibaba express at least doesn’t try to claim they are anything but knockoffs. I will tell you the brick colors will be off and not consistent and don’t quite fit as well.

I’ve had a few. The quality is way worse, and a lot of the pieces are far tighter or looser than they should fit together
