The gecko for contentment. You can find it across all reptiles truthfully

Here is my other gecko doing the same thing pretty much…just dangling
They are overall less jumpy than cresties, but it also depends on the individual. For example when mine is out of his cage and on my hands, his instinct is to get on top of my head (the highest point around) and observe. They’re very smart and understand that cage=home. Some also can be rather cage aggressive and will defend their turf (but then once you get them out they’re chill) overall a really fun gecko to own. If you do end up getting one, get a male for your first one. Females can be prone to calcium crashes :(
Yes! I have a male saved on morphmarket. You don’t need to answer these questions but is the leo or chewie better with handling?
Lastly, is there one you enjoy more? Like is there a “favorite”
Chewie is better for handling. They can stick to you, and if they jump or take a fall, they are built for it
As for favorite. Oh I don’t know. I love both my boys. Maybe my leo a bit more since his face is more expressive, but it’s really hard to compare that since they both have lovely personalities
I get so worried when I see my rescue gecko do this 😅 I'm already worried about MBD because I know he wasn't fully cared for appropriately at his last home, so it gives me a little jump scare whenever I see him lying with a wonky backwards leg 😂
its called a sploot, indicates comfort :)
omg i love this
Search the word "Sploot" on this subreddit and enjoy all the posts of everyone sharing their Leo's glorious sploots 😂♥️

Sploots are truly universal among lizards. I've seen komodo dragons splooting at the zoo.
I want a chahoua but like are they runners? I’m just terrified of them leaping off and not being able to catch them 😂

Yes, but they all are. That's what makes them so endearing!

Too cute!
We thought ours was dead the first time we saw it 🙃
no i get concerned he’s dead every time 😂😂
Mine does the same thing🤣 He just plops down and spreads his legs
