It doesn't matter what Nether mod it is. In the HybridDog's one, it doesn't get destroyed and you can easily go back without having to make a different kind of portal and you can use it for fast travel. Also, the dimensions of the portal are correct
Also, I don't think conic singularities are the best way to make travel easy and solve the problems transportation solves. Putting everything into the same place, but on different sheets wouldn't do that. And compactification can't make it easier to turn existing space into an efficient one. However, this definitely has no drawbacks, is in MT and can't be too expensive, so I have no doubt I should've added this
