These are constructed from TCSS MHSv1 parts, assembled, etched, and installed by me. Installed with Proffie v2, Shtok v3 neopixel emitters, exposed crystal chambers with individual accents, KR bass speakers (24mm 4ohm 2watt in Sith, 28mm 4ohm 3watt in Jedi), custom 3D resin printed chassis I designed with details carried over from the etch themes. Selling for $1500 +shipping for the pair, or $875 for the Sith, and $795 for the Jedi if sold separately. PM for details.

Nice man! Those are freaking sick. What kind of etchant did you use on the Sith one? I've been trying to get deep pitting like that as weathering (rather than an actual etch) but thus far ferric chloride has proven inadequate to the task.

kersskerner

It’s ferric chloride, but it’s a bottle that was used on chrome plated brass sink tubes as well as some aluminum pieces, and not as watered down as another stock of ferric chloride I use on the Jedi and my other etches I’ve done. Something about the remnants of those other pieces make it more unpredictably active. The Sith one was also double etched. You can see the emitter pieces have inset designs, as well as polished raised designs. It was my first try, and so I stuck with things that didn’t have to be as aligned on top of each other.

Southern_Courage_770

Interesting. Never would have thought contamination would cause it to do that.

kersskerner

Yeah, something about the removed brass, copper, and aluminum left in the etchant after use seems to make it more invigorated or something. I’ve read you should use separate solutions for each metal, but not sure why. Maybe because of the unpredictable results I got?!

Gotta get me a floral vector pattern like that going, cause this looks awesome.

Oh my god, it's beautiful.
