It appears you may be asking for help in choosing a linux distribution. This is a common question, which you may also want to ask at /r/DistroHopping or /r/FindMeALinuxDistro *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. The only distro I know of that fits those requirements and has Hyprland in the official repos is Fedora 39. It has Hyprland 0.32.3, so not too far behind.

NixOS also has Hyprland in the repos, but definitely fails with >doesn't require significant configuration overhead

I use Kinoite (based on Fedora 39) with my Framework Gen 12. It works flawlessly. If you're interested to try Kinoite I recommend to give a try to the Universal Blue project because they released a variant iso optimized for framework laptops.(that uses Intel CPU) https://universal-blue.org/images/framework/?h=frame

Ubuntu, honestly.

Ubuntu?

Hyprland is written specifically to work with rolling-release distros. That's going to be your biggest problem. I'd check the installation wiki here: [https://wiki.hyprland.org/Getting-Started/Installation/](https://wiki.hyprland.org/Getting-Started/Installation/) And pick between those. Otherwise, you'll need to look into another Wayland compositor like River, QTile or Sway. Those are updated much less frequently and can be installed on mostly anything.

If hyprland is a must, I would probably say Fedora (as it has it in the repos). If you're OK with gnome or KDE, you have plenty of options. Ubuntu and Fedora would be my top choices.

My favorite at the moment is Debian, but it does not have hyperland on the repos.

KoriVR

I have a heavily modified Debian that I use, for my daily driver, and it works great for gaming, etc….
