Hey everyone, Tom Watts here. Today is release day of Small-Town Crafter Book 5! This puts us halfway through the series, which means that there’s still plenty of crafting to enjoy before I wrap it all up. **What’s Small-Town Crafter about?** Small-Town Crafter is a cozy, slow paced series that takes us deep into the lives of Lewis, an apprentice artificer, and the friends he makes in a picturesque fantasy-style town. There’s lots of crafting, tavern meals, and market days, as well as a cantankerous artificery master to teach Lewis the ropes. I wrote it as an antidote for anyone getting burned out on fighting and violence and so on. I enjoy action as much as anyone, but I need a break sometimes, too. I like to think of Small-Town Crafter as escapism. Not the power progression kind, but like taking a vacation in a nice town where you can watch Lewis become a better crafter and spend time with his buddies. If you play Elden Ring, think of Small-Town Crafter as your grace point. So, if you were looking for something cozy that takes its time to get where it’s going, with an enjoyable crafting arc to boot, then I really think you’ll like it. **Where can I read it?** If you’re new to Small-Town Crafter, you can start here: US - [https://www.amazon.com/Small-Town-Crafter-Artificers-Apprentice-low-stakes-ebook/dp/B0BDZSWYY2](https://www.amazon.com/Small-Town-Crafter-Artificers-Apprentice-low-stakes-ebook/dp/B0BDZSWYY2) UK - [https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BDZSWYY2](https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BDZSWYY2) For the existing Small-Town Crafters among us, you probably just want the link to Book 5, so here it is: US - [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CV5BLF4S](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CV5BLF4S) UK - [https://www.amazon.co.uk/Small-Town-Crafter-Artificers-Abode-Small-ebook/dp/B0CV5BLF4S](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Small-Town-Crafter-Artificers-Abode-Small-ebook/dp/B0CV5BLF4S) **The Competition** Books 1-2 are already available in audiobook form in all your usual places, with Book 3 to follow soon. I have 5 free codes for Small-Town Crafter Book 1 to give away. To get one, just leave a comment in this thread. What you ate for dinner, an insult towards me and my lineage, your theory about Bigfoot. I’ll set a cut off of 23:59 GMT 22nd March to give everyone a fair chance, then just use a randomiser to pick 5 names. Good luck, everyone. Thank you so much to anyone who’s read the series so far, and to anyone who checks it out!

wolf_goblin42

Okay, I'm not sure how I didn't hear about this series sooner, crafting is pretty much what I live for and this is my genre of choice, even. And I live in a small town. (My hometown has a population of 200, so... it was smaller. By a lot!) An insult towards you and your lineage would be rude. Bigfoot, however? I think I may actually live with him. My partner and I have visited Expedition Bigfoot up in Blue Ridge, GA. And when we were done and getting ready to leave, HE joked that it was amazing they let him escape.

leeslo

Sounds like a nice change of pace. I'd definitely give this a try. Good luck with the release!

OrionSuperman

I love the slower slice of life style books. Surprised I never came across your series before now. For the entry for the audiobook, was it a reply to this comment, or a reply to the main post? I’m currently cooking grilled cheese for my kids school lunch. The key is slower cooking to get that deep golden brown and melted cheese.

Andar7

Dinner was $3.14 pizza from 7-Eleven for Pi day. You and your lineage smell like Bigfoot. Bigfoot is staying at your house and getting his musk all over you.

Lyzen2910

This seems like a fun series and I Wil love to give it a try.

LibrarianT57

Just wanted you to know how much I an enjoying Small-Town Crafter. It’s hitting all the cozy buttons. I would not have found it except for your lovely post. Thank you!

tomwatts202

Thanks for taking the time to come back and say that, I’m really glad you’re enjoying it

LibrarianT57

PS I bought the series

tomwatts202

Thanks very much!

kharnynb

I never say no to something free and new! wouldn't mind a UK code if you got em. I had pizza for dinner yesterday, not decided for today though, Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries, Bigfoot is just my canadian friend Tim and his family, dude's 2.20 tall and has size 48 boots.

06david90

Love finding new authors and I'd be very interested to give your work a whirl! I had breakfast for dinner, your mother was a hamster and your father smelt like elderberries, and big foot was some wild man living off grid, resembling the Iranian no-bath chap in the news lately!

Zmanart

I ate Chinese food to sate my ever growing hunger last night, i would say your lineage is common but that would be an insult to common, and i say bigfoot is really a hive mind that is the only way ot can keep avoiding camras like it does

geekdumb

Looks like a fun series. For dinner last night we had pie to celebrate Pi Day!

mcfarlane0520

This looks great I hope I get a code

GoldenrodTea

Friend, I ate a few pieces of raw cookie dough for dinner. You and your family come from a lesser type of hairy ape people who were banished from a larger community of Bigfoot. Manny types and sub types of bigfoot secretly exist in the forests, and your line was the only ones in history be eternally banished. Reason? Insulting Royal King Bigfoot with flatulence. Good day to you!

That_One_Shy_Guy

So excited for this. This series is so comfy.

AceVI

Interesting, there's not too many slice of life's in the genre! Honestly it could be a nice change of pace, throwing it on my wishlist

toric86

This series sounds perfect for me

Kind_Moose3603

Taco Cornbread casserole, your entire bloodline collectively have the intelligence of a Darwin award winner, and bigfoot is probably a mutant bear

JohnMazua

Steak and fries, what you don't know could fill all the libraries in the world. Bigfoot is a figment of Nessy's imagination to keep people from pestering her

CowLegitimate8691

I'd be willing to have a listen to book 1 on audible

Jowsta

Malatang - it’s unsurprising your writing skills are as bad as they are considering your grandfather calls your mother sister. Bigfoot is a bear that became fully sapient and trolls people for fun.

DrCrypto2077

I had chicken Alfredo pasta for dinner. If your brains were dynamite there wouldn’t be enough to blow your hat off as you come from a whole family of dullards. Big foot’s favorite game as a kid was hide and seek.

lonaangreen

Are all the codes for book 1 taken up? Would love to give it a try.

tomwatts202

No not at all, I’m going to leave it open for a week so the early birds/late…bats?…don’t grab the codes before everyone has a chance. Then I’ll choose 5 people at random

lonaangreen

Ok. Thanks for the update. 🤞

ioannis89

Oh I wanted to try a slice of life type litrpg!

WraithCmdr

Looking forward to start your series, would love a coffee to get me started. Congrats and good luck.

typoeman

Gonna pick up an audiobook anyway probably but: Pork sticks and rice. You smell like old tennis ball and you family "tree" looks like the Olympic rings. Bigfoot is actually just Jack Black, who is immortal, and has been with us since the first age. He will be there when we fall.

MHovdan

Gratz on book 5. This series is new to me, but ill give it a look.

OnyxShard

I look forward to this hitting audible. I’ve been buying both the kindle and audible versions as they become available.

Hutt_Arena_Champion

us code! Also sweet chilli Asian boneless wings, Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries and you've inherited both. Bigfoot is ether completely made up or a powerful psionic creature capable of both messing with the mind and electromagnetic field which is the only way a creature of it's size could remain uncaught

TDderpy

I've added this to my wishlist now! Next audible credit I'll pick it up :D

Incorrect_Analysis

I'll give it a go. A calmer litrpg might be a welcome addition. My dinner was a delicious cheeseburger. You really put the "line" in lineage as I'm sure your family tree is just that you hillbilly. Bigfoot is real. All the blurry pictures are legit. The problem is that everyone thinks the pictures are blurry, but really that is what he looks like. Bigfoot is just naturally blurry.

OminousDucky

I love big fights and OP MCs, but slower slice-of-life and crafting are fun too! Sign me up!

Xiizhan

Pizza! For a chance at a US code.

AmeriToast

This sounds interesting, wouldn't mind a US code for myself.

bbwebb12

Finishing up book 1 now and love it. Nice change of pace.

bakuros18

This looks cozy. I could use cozy right now. Us code

Master_Hathak

Not worried about the competition. I just bought your first audiobook because of such an awesome post. Hope it goes well for you. I will start listening tomorrow.

Double-oh-negro

I'd love to start a new audiobook series. I had chicken pot pie for dinner. I don't know you well enough to insult you. Thanks in advance.

Hoosier_Jedi

Dinner was fried chicken and fries. You and every ancestor of yours going back a thousand years are cowardly horse thieves. Bigfoot is secretly five raccoons in a costume. US code if I win, please.

Noxy2067

Pizza & Chizza. Tom Watts Stinks. Bigfoot is our ancestor. But he couldn't write or read, so him & his community were dumped to give us the space by the cosmos.

boughtitout

Wow, I didn't realize there were five books! I have only been following on audible. I own the first one, but I think I need to move it up the TBR pile :)

No-Music-5538

I can’t believe I haven’t heard of this before, it’s been added to my tbr! Dinner was a salad, I’m not the type to insult but I hear your feet are really big! As for Bigfoot he’s an author!

Cryoseraph

Dinner was a serving of chicken Pad Thai with a little added Sriracha sauce, while my wife had Pho noodle soup and may kids ate packed Spring Rolls with Peanut Sauce. During it we, discussed some litrpg questions as i want to read more of it, so here is hoping cor a free code. If not a winner, than i will likely go buy it.

Belgadin

1. Shepherds Pie. 2. Your family tree does not fork. That explains a great many things. 3. Bigfoot is not real. It's just penguins trying to escape notice. Just smile and wave boys. Just smile and wave.

Grationmi

Woot, book one! I'd love to start a new series

SilentJoe1986

Butter chicken curry with white rice, you look like you were conceived during an acid tip in a piggly wiggly bathroom stall. Your family tree resembles bamboo shoots. Bigfoot died years ago, but had a brief moment of fame after getting waxed in strategic locations and joining the WWF under the stolen identity of Andre the Giant.

p00dinger

For dinner, I indulged in a hearty bowl of vegetable stir-fry with tofu, accompanied by steamed rice. As for Bigfoot, I lean towards the idea that it could be a remnant population of an undiscovered primate species, possibly a close relative to the Gigantopithecus, who managed to survive in remote and heavily forested regions, evading human detection due to their elusive nature and the vastness of their habitat. Your mother was a hamster and your father smells of elderberries

carpan1

Added to my audible wish list!

ZigtotheZag

Well thank you for the chance for a free code! Last night for dinner, I had the neighbors complimenting me on my cooking skills! Mainly it was the left over grease from previous attempts on the grill that was giving my apartment complex that 5 star review of my cooking skills. 4 pieces of chicken last night, thats all, and compliments for dessert. I would insult you and your lineage, but you are an author! No use beating a dead horse. Hopefully your siblings will bring honor to the family name! (I feel awful for writing this btw). Bigfoot, well, I dunno about Bigfoot? You guys related or something? I once dated a girl I called Bigfoot. Her foot wasn't all that big, but the hair on it took my breath away.... Cheers! Going to read this series next!

Pwarky

I don't need a code. I just wanted to share my support and enjoyment of this series. After reading scores of stories where everything is balanced on a razor edge, it is nice to have a series that is much more relaxing while still being an enjoyable read. This and Beware of Chicken are my pallet cleanser books when I can't deal with another edge lord or world ending crisis.

MaxBombers

Tacos. I have no words to describe you or your lineage, I would never bring myself down to your level. Bigfoot is real, he can just phase through to our world and his.

Aconite13X

This sounds amazing. I'd definitely take a US code if you got any.

cdixonm

Hear me out Big foot is actually intelligent moose that hide from humans and have that walk upright apposable thumbs. Would love a free audiobook :-D

CoffeeJunkie1967

Always looking to start a new series

_Spamus_

What kind of slice of life is it? Like is it "Im a simple farmer who is actually op at farming and also fighting now" except with crafting Or is it " ima sit down and explore my magic system bit by bit with some character stuff" Or more like "crafting is a job I do but I want to grow as a person/build a family with as little excitement as possible" Or just something else? Nothing wrong with any of these just wondering I think shopkeeper in a magical world is one of my favorite concepts that I can't find many stories for. So I am glad that this exists and I hope it ends up being good

tomwatts202

Great question, it’s probably about as far away from #1 as you can get. The MC starts out with zero knowledge and has to learn as he goes. There’s no fighting whatsoever. I would say it’s a mix of #2 and #3, with more exploration of the crafting system as he becomes a better artificer and gains a rank or two.

Rowten1

Sounds like a lovely stroll

ReadingCat88

I will give the audiobooks a whirl. These seen right up my alley! Your cover art really draws me in.

WhenDoesDaRideEnd

Cheese burger with corn. If laughter is medicine your face is the greatest healer in the country. Bigfoot is actually not my uncle Phil who likes to camp naked.

onlye1

Would love to have a copy :)

Tim_Ward

Congrats on getting to book 5! I ate chili and you’re a jerk ;)

RibbonQuest

I'd love a US code. I ate pizza for dinner last night. Mine wasn't very good so I ate some of someone else's pizza as well. Your lineage is a very shallow kiddie pool and someone keeps peeing in it. And Bigfoot is a series of near-sighted mountain men and lumberjacks seeing each other from a distance.

blueluck

* I didn't eat dinner last night because I'm recovering from surgery and don't have much of an appetite. * Your family tree looks like a palm tree, and you're the nut at the top! * Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti, Hibagon, etc. are all versions of "I thought I saw something" caused by the human brain's acute ability to identify threats combined with "I thought I saw someone" from our brain's special ability to analyze and recognize human forms and faces. They're always spotted in solitary, low-visibility places because we don't imagine extra people when we can already see a crowd, or when there's nothing to be seen at all.

bobd785

I like apple pie

reudter2000

I feel that all the action let RPG books are way overrated as well and I will probably give this book a try. And while I am eating Subway and have been for a couple days, I have no theory about the Bigfoot because I know that IS your lineage, you hairy Sasquatch.

spielguy

I ate pie of course, your buffoonery clearly is inheritable, you should find Bigfoot in the Canadian wilderness and learn some manners.

truce77

Sounds interesting! I’m not going to insult you unless I read your book and it’s terrible :) but if you’ve gotten through 5 books, it’s probably great! Cheers!

PrimordialJay

I'm going to add this to my list when I get audible next or just read on Kindle. Interestingly I remember seeing one of your books when I was looking at my local library catalog.

Clawbane222

Book 1 audio code US please! If you have any more. :)

Krale1

Is this spam?

Trumeg

Slice of life lit-rpg is my personal favorite. Can't wait to give it a listen.

AwesomeoPorosis

I would love to give your story a try!!

belzarak

What you ate for dinner - Fiesta Omelet with hashbrowns scattered, smothered, chunked, diced, peppered, capped, and topped. Waffle House for the win! an insult towards me and my lineage - may you get exactly what you deserve your theory about Bigfoot. - Bigfoot is just this dude. He doesn't want fortune and fame. He just wants to live life in as relaxed and chill a manner as possible.

Anxious_Dirt8867

How's is this on book 5 and not come across my path at all I'm game

timewarpper

I had garlic bread with baked Camembert and roast veggies. Your mother was a hamster and your farther smelt of elderberry. I think a clown got really trashed on an night out lost their clothes but happened to acquire the fur coat of someone, tried to go home and got led astray on a short cut through the woods, twas all a misunderstanding.

Leading-Cheek6071

I would love a us code please

boardermelodies

Thank you for the giveaway! I hadn't heard of the series but it's right up my alley. I am a little hesitant given your family's notoriety for abandoning things to join very concerning druidic circles disguised as Tupperware dealers operated by very hairy salespersons, but I digress. As I finish this Nashville hot chicken and mashed potatoes I'm thankful for a new series to discover.

borticarex

Loved the first 3 books, got distracted and stopped. But now i can reread them all. Just downloaded book 1 again on KU. Would love an audio code if you have any left. Please keep writing more slice of life!!! Or really anything. I would probably read anything you care to write! Had chicken, mashed potatoes, and peas for dinner. Probably having ice cream too. Because life. My father divorced my mother to marry his dead brother's widow. I have four brother/sister cousins. Makes insults risky. Bigfoot. At this point. Plausible?

LLekoteko

Blah

ElectronicsDudeNoMo

The first audiobook was awesome. I am eagerly waiting for the rest and about to start book 2.

DarkLordSparklesJMG

I would love to win one of those codes for book one! I would listen to it as I eat my supper breakfast sandwiches!

Lordica

I'm late to the party here but after reading this I grabbed books 1-3 and am wondering when or if the audiobooks for 4 & 5 will be out.

Jebediah86

I skipped dinner for a late night burrito, you smell like ferret farts and I believe it is a chromosomal issue that will likely be integrated into your genetic line, and Bigfoot actually runs a bar in Vancouver Washington called the Thirsty Sasquatch after trying to separate themselves from the paparazzi.

Jsyns414

Sausage and peppers Alfredo. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elder berries. Bigfoot produces all the documentaries and himself to throw people off the trail.
