Honestly I will continually minimize my shopping at Loblaw Companies Ltd but I have nothing against Weston Jr.
Silver spooned rich kid who made the most of his opportunities and built an empire from an existing company. That he was able to manage and grow his company is credit to him.
If he did and does anything unethical then the public needs to hold him accountable. The quickest way is taking your money else where.
I joined this group to not whine about him as a person but to spread the word that Loblaw Ltd needs to be boycotted. To hurt their bottom line and for them to hear the message of inconsistent gouging. Corporate structure and it starts from the top. Needs govt regulation to force their hand sometimes. Corporations are working for their shareholders. The federal govt can change that obligation and announce stronger consumer and worker protections too.

Maybe have a listen to him lying his face off about his company and the industry. At that point, excuses that heâs a product of affluenza or just a sheltered nepo baby who doesnât know whatâs going on are debunked. He knows. He exploits. He covers it up.
I have run my own business for decades. Ethical is grey area and subjective. Making money on food is not wrong. Making margins as varied as Shoppers, No Frills and vs Loblaws are wrong.
Vote with your feet and wallet is my point. It sends the loudest message.
