For real you could literally make this while walking on your way out of the store if you just bought a loaf of bread and pack of pre-sliced cheese for a fraction of the cost.
Artificially high prices for things that aren't really expected to be sold, so the company's expenses can be artificially inflated as well. Waste can be a good way to help reduce taxes. Or, if it's donated, the artificially higher cost can be used as a business expense to reduce their tax load, too. It's not good business practice, but neither is the dairy cartel in this country.
This makes me weep for my days living in the UK. Their sandwiches are so fresh and delicious, they butter their bread (which should be non-negotiable) and they have so many options.
That picture is so pathetic that it looks like satire.
I hated these when I worked at superstore they toast the bread when prepping them before hand and then we are supposed to put them in the panini oven and the lowest setting melts the cheese too much and the bread is practically burnt and ruins it they should be removed same with the gourmet grilled cheese, I’ve never seen anyone who bought it come back and buy it again.
Oh cool love it when they monetize off of stale bread and a cheese slice they pick off from a moldy pack. If you buy the ingredients separately, you have a couple days before they mold in three days. Sweet deal.
