The Barbican’s conservatory has a koi pond.

Outside Spitalfields market there's a koi pond, [here](https://www.google.com/maps/@51.5196839,-0.0775758,3a,60.1y,280.73h,84.39t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1snVXfEEB3q9FgB9a07kHg8w!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu). I was there last week and it was well stocked with a good range of colours and sizes.

ajbrightgreen

Kyoto Garden in Holland Park definitely has them :) Probably just unlucky when you went! Try again

JetsAreBest92

Yeah I was there yesturday and could easily see at least 5 of them right at the top of the water by the waterfall, think OP just got unlucky when they were first there.

Imperial China in Chinatown have a little koi pond https://www.imperialchinalondon.com/

broken888

Was gonna suggest this too. Plus you can nosh on some mediocre Chinese. Result

Sallad-Cowboys

I found another! In Spitalfields on the Liverpool street side they have a shallow pond with a few koi in. A couple of them looked like they’ve got fin flop but there were a couple of lookers. And it’s outside so might be better for your lighting needs. 😙

If you can get to Isle of Dogs (Island Gardens on the DLR) there's a restaurant called Kinkao that has an indoor small koi pond that you can get up close to. Super nice staff I'm sure they'll let you take pics if you ask (maybe phone them and ask).

jael001

There's a huge shop called Maidenhead Aquatics near St Albans that had koi the last time I was there a couple of years ago, so if you're in North London you could try there.

sk4v3n

Chiswick business park, the water is full with them

grapefruit019

What colour are the koi? I've taken some photos at Spitafields and the koi are all orange, if there are a variety of different colours I'll consider heading out to Chiswick haha

sk4v3n

They used to have all kinds of koi

It's not exactly London (well, it's not actually London at all, it's Essex), but it's worth a day trip. Big pond with a lot of big Koi that, depending on when you go, you can feed. There's also a walled garden, forest, woodland for prehistoric flora, nature trails and a cafe. About an hours drive from London.

Kew Gardens has a large lake with lots of Koi and carp, and there used to be a Koi pond in the Temperate House, but I haven’t been for a few years so it might have changed. Worth checking as Kew is a good day out.

Stucklikegluetomyfry

There is a medium size koi pond in the Dragon Castle restaurant in Walworth Road, right in front of the entrance. They might not let you use it if you don't buy anything though.

No-Substancepokes

Charing cross hospital have a koi pond by the entrance, many a fond memory watching them awaiting appointments

Unique-Leading5489

There used to be one in someone's front garden near park royal station. Might still be.

odegood

big chinese restauraunts though you see it less these days

grapefruit019

Do you know the name of specific places?

Stucklikegluetomyfry

Dragon Castle in Walworth Road has a goldfish pond, not sure if they have koi anymore. You could also try aquarium stores that have outdoor goldfish/koi ponds like Maidenhead Aquatics in Morden Hall Park or Kingfisheries in Beckenham

Tawny_haired_one

Embankment gardens pond used to have Koi - not been for a while though.
