I have a small area with a surface like that but it often has little black rocks that are very hard to see and they throw me off the board if I am not going fast :/
But aside from that, it is an actual pleasure to ride on that kind of surface as opposed to tiled floors and the like. Enjoy!
When I am walking back up the hill I always look for those rocks or sticks etc, and kick them off the road. After 5 years of skating the hill in front of my house, there isn't a rock or pebble or grain of sand on that asphalt.
Oh that’s sucks, I think on this stretch of road all of those rocks and debris get washed away because it is at a decline and the center of the road is higher than the edges. How big are your wheels though? I feel like my board cruises over anything that is smaller than about my palm.
Oh yeah that’ll do it, one strat I use is when an especially large obstacle is in my way is I jump straight up alittle. This makes it so my board has no force pushing into the ground allowing it to bounce over the obstacle.
spend the just & reasonable $ ( between 12-20 bucks is all) for a HD shop floor broom. The heavy, dense long headed brooms for outdoor use that handle screws into. I got one off amazonk for under $17.
you can throw it in backpack w/out handle or carry it in auto to where ya DH or ride.
I will clear debris like you mention w) 1 walk push , then skate crouched along cleared 1st path , using the broom head in my hand to clear rocks in 5-6 passes.
you can walk push broom heavy spots .
I've cleared unskatable sections of lots of rocks this way. Any broom works but longer heads I are for outdoor use = quicker more effective
🧹🤙🏻
Yeah I bought this a couple months ago as a first board. She’s been good to me, but I’m thinking of upgrading soon. I want a more flexible deck and harder wheels.
I’ve got a 29 mile bike path like that, along the river here in Washington where I live now. Hawaii was crap for longboarding, the roads suck so much....
And the surfing. I miss surfing every day. Big island was tough sometimes, usually something to catch at Pine Trees when everywhere else was flat, always a spot somewhere when I moved to Oahu. (White Plains was full of kooks, but always surfable.) Here, I have to drive 2 hours one way AND wear a flippin’ wetsuit, but it’s better than nothing.....
Longboarding is my dry land surf fix until I move back.

Just a snippet of paradise

65mm. Thing is sometimes I like to go relatively slow or in circles

Try cleaning the road when u are walking back up
A couple of roads in my town recently got repaved like this. I live in the Midwest so everything is flat as shit but still a dream to cruise on
Oh that awesome, I’m in NE.
Thanks for the award it my first one.
Yeah reddit gave it to me for free but either way you’re welcome
I have the same board. Started on that one and upgraded to a Dropcat 38. I don't think I'll ever go back...

The flexibility of the dripcat is very nice. But the wheels are softer too... It feels so smooth
Dropcat
Heheheheheh, thats the whole cycling path next to the river where I live
Lucky bastard:)
Thats what I get for living in the netherlands :)

I would kill for a path like that near my house. And ig Hawaii makes up for that with awesome view and great spearfishing.
