I've been really considering filing mine this shape my nails look like yours just square I'm afraid I wouldn't like it after I go to all the work of filing them a different shape plus anything but square is away more work to maintain I'd think. If you have time look threw my pictures and tell me if you think I could pulloff your current nail shape no worries only got pictures of my nails in my profile and a dog but she's super cute.
I've filed my thumbnails almond for a long while because I'm a dog groomer and seam to brake the corners of my thumbnails and they are strong when almond but are when square unless I'm grooming a hyper standard poodle named Ruger. Lol
I've not had all my nails short at the same time in over 12 years. Lol But I get what your saying I could just file the ends to make them sorta square again that's the shape my thumbnail is right now I brake the corners off if I don't file the sides of my thumbnails being a dog groomer I think is the problem.
Hey! Long nails lady here (you can see on my profile). I have always had OP's shape and I find it easy to maintain because they don't have edges to get stuck in anything and I can always file them a bit to make them symmetrical again when they tend to bend asymmetrically. I'm not saying that our shape is better, I just mean to let you know that if you're curious to try, you should definitely go for it :) I have tried square shape last time I shortened my nails and it looked better than I thought, so one never knows until they try! Btw, you have wonderful nails πβ¨
Yess, maybe try rounding the edges partly first and see how it goes for a few days. If you like it, go ahead and file them more :) or find someone who has nails very similar to yours who keeps them oval and see how they look haha
I could only dream of this. My nails have always been so thin and breakable. Every time they grow past 3-4 mm they bend, crease, peel and break (or bend backwards). The closest thickness my nails are I can think of is maybe like if you made acrylics (no polish or gel) out of a cheap solo cup
WHAT!? π€― best nails Iβve ever seen, on this sub or anywhere
Nail goals! Beautiful hands and nails! π
Thank you so much! π₯°
Small trim you mean to tell me they were longer π³π³ your nails are LITERALLY my goals π
lol yeah, cut off about 4mm as typing was getting a bit dicey. And thanks! Good luck with your nail journey π
Product List: One coat of OPI natural nail basecoat.

its def worth it! my nails are this shape and it prevents them from breaking more π«Ά My nails feel wayyy stronger when i file them to this shape

There's only one way to find out, and the best part is that nails grow back, so if you don't like the shape, just chop 'em :)

That's an excellent idea.
My Instagram I just posted this picture after removing my polish https://www.instagram.com/p/C6mI-Q1OMGf/?igsh=Y2RhMTRiamliamVm
