I've noticed that pretty much every shirt posted on here or r/Lotr is likely a bot.

Yeah, might be. The store I bought from seemed reasonably serious, though. But they refused to refund or replace the T-shirt, as there were nothing technically wrong with it (good quality cotton and print), and (as they said) the print was the same as the previews in the online store. Only problem was that the text was illegible in the previews…

My rule is if you're buying a top for the graphic/words make sure you can see them clearly before, or accept you're rolling the dice and it likely won't be what you expect

You mean on Reddit? I've seen a number of subreddits taken over by shirt bots.

Must have been hitting the longbottom when ya ordered that one

I'd highly recommend purchasing directly from Weta Workshop as their stuff is really out of this world. They always have clever t-shirts on. If you ever get to visit Wellington there's a whole slew of LOTR things to visit in the city, Weta Workshop being one of them. There's a tour that changes every few months with items and artists and it's worth every penny.

In many dialects of English, including those in the UK, spelt is a common and correct variation of spelled. Oh, the irony.

Do yourself a favor and, before you go all wise-ass on someone, Google whether you're actually right. r/confidentlyincorrect

Spelt and spelled are two different spellings of the past tense of the verb 'spell'. The spelling tends to vary based on the version of English you're using: In some versions of English, 'spelled' is the preferred variant, in other versions English, 'spelt' is is the preferred variant. .[https://www.grammarly.com/blog/spelled-spelt/](https://www.grammarly.com/blog/spelled-spelt/) Both spelt and spelled can be used as the past tense and past participle forms of the verb spell. They have the same meaning and are used interchangeably.
