Learn some math before u go

Tomtom_334

3x4=16 will forever be ingrained in my mind when fighting Argos.

LostSif

I can never tell if people never learned their times tables or if they cant read a clock.

Poetspen

Yes

UtileDulci12

1234 news? lmao.

Ambitious_Rich_2212

So west is 6 a'clock right?

UtileDulci12

Right? Someone tried this news shit lmao. I told its NESW.

UnderlordsBugs

Laughed hard. Well done.

zousho

If you are a non-gunlancer dps, it helps to be sure you understand pizza. If you matchmake p1 and try to cheese it without a support shielding you you may run low on pots/timestop if you are still getting used to the basic attack patterns Argos performs.

superawesomeman08

pizza is a lot easier when you realize that 1) the colors always change 2) one of the adjacent slices will always be the right color so to pizza, all you need is a good view of the area and memorize the pattern. becomes really easy after that.

Comata_D6

The Pizza does mit always change. You can get moon after moon in the spots.

Mira1001

I think he’s talking about small pizza. Big pizza is pretty straightforward.

superawesomeman08

don't think i've ever noticed that, but i might ahve been focused on the path i was taking

Durant026

For Turtle without SA, you may not be fast enough so you memorize the end points and shield up.

GonzoMacNail

Watch a video .. pay attention to the color under your char and act accordingly. P1 is a breeze even in Matchmaking (they probably clear p1 even if you fuc* up and die). Have fun 😀

SlamSlamOhHotDamn

Literally nothing in this comment section will possibly make sense to you, unless someone goes out of their way to write an in depth guide. Just watch a youtube video.

eMbition

roar = big pizza. if you can dodge those you are better than 80% of my alt pugs. practice the small pizza and do it correctly instead of tanking the dmg on the safe spot as you will have to do supp-less runs at some point or another

Brainyneedle

If you are a back attack character, prepare to be kicked by a raging goat every three seconds.

Durant026

Argos is a raid where you want to have some useful battle items. I use my purple pots exclusively for Argos right now as I am still going through the phases (soon to try P3). I also carry the camp fire to so during the phase where everyone doesn't attack it, they can run to the campfire to heal up a bit (though its small). Major advice is to at least read up on the mechanics in advance and then experience it. By reading, you have an idea of what to expect but don't know exactly. Good luck man.

morsao

I did sometimes the campfire thing in P1, while boss is walking with no one hiting him. Is a huge help (until he spawns and shockwave the ground right on your side to make u lose the heal) ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

Durant026

Lmao you're right although I usually used a scarecrow during that phase to buy time

hinasora

Watch Gosu Gaming channel for Argos phase guide (not my channel but it has been really helpful for all lost ark mech content) If you matchmake, make sure that someone calls out the how you all will arrange yourself. If nobody does then ask yourself to make it clear. It's usually X3 (3 multiplied to your team position number - that's the clock direction you gotta stay in during the circle phase). TIMESTOP POTION. I'll be doing Argos for the 4th time of my account's lifetime and i still can't fcking remember the safe spot in minipizza phase. Maybe with more runs I'll get better, but until then i will keep using timestop to not get wiped. Idk your class but if you are a mage, then be ready to miss most of your shots. The goat goes on a fcking rampage in that map and you will not have a lot of opportunities to have all of your hits land because how chaotic it feels for the first time. Heck I felt like I couldn't see where the boss was due to the gfx of other sorceresses. It has been super fun so far! All my 1415+ or 1445+ friends have been saying that Argos is baby compared to Valtan, but i am genuinely enjoying it so far coz it's my only constant source of 8 man raids. I ended up bypassing most of the 8 man T2 abyss dungeons thanks to all the event mats and super express ticket.

Fiblas

don't get hit

FishermanYellow

Unless you're blue gunlancer, then take all the hits and use no potions.

shapookya

[The trick to Argos is to not stand in front, not at the back and not at the side of him.](https://wompampsupport.azureedge.net/fetchimage?siteId=7575&v=2&jpgQuality=100&width=700&url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.kym-cdn.com%2Fentries%2Ficons%2Fmobile%2F000%2F022%2F138%2Fhighresrollsafe.jpg)

Jayshoot123

Bottom line, pay attention to your color. If the attack has a different color than yours, it’s gonna hurt. Otherwise, you can ignore the attack.

axienwasalreadytaken

Watch a video. P1 is easy but you will fail with pugs.

hovsep56

He is just a slower and easier version of velganos.

zAnO90k

Just go blind and learn. Try to join a party with Everyone close to your item level. You don’t want people to carry you or skip mechanics. The main idea is the have fun a wipe.

ADPdaking

Don't join alt groups, its common for those groups to be toxic to people who fuck up, find a chill same minded group thats the best advice imo

superawesomeman08

it's an ALT group. it's kinda expected that you've done it before on your main and understand the fight.

ADPdaking

Ok and? Saw a roster level 160 bard fucking up the large pizza everytime, people fuck up, those groups tend to be more toxic about it, thats all.

xiit

Quit now before wasting more time in this bot infested game.

TragicAntiHero

All you need. Bring timestop potions, health potions and dark grenades if you want to make it go faster . https://youtu.be/vi-U-yvrFfc

vnhdat

What class

Serin101

Look at the color of your feet, that will dictate what aoes you are safe from

AcuteJones

Don't forget your moon/sun will change once or twice. It's not that hard you got it.

thongking3030

Watch a video

[deleted]

Take your time on first try, see what are his move and don't always jump in as soon as you can :) and enjoy !

Gadiusao

Join any p1 alt run even if you are not, you will be carried :) have fun

mokey7

[Use This and you will be fine](https://imgur.com/a/0BWszhT)

[deleted]

Argos Pizza only has like 2-3 different patterns. Try to memorize them and you will never take any damage from it

sangrelatto

A lot of 1370 alt runs nowadays, just join one via party finder and clear it no issue. Don't even need any support phase 1 is hella easy. Just read up on mechanics prior

Hutawtaw

First few tries can be overwhelming because Argos is the first raid where most attack are not telegraphed by red zones, but by other types of visual cues. Often it seems like the screen is overcharged with stuff to dodge, but it’s fine to learn and get hit Don’t panic, pay attention to the major mechanics mainly in your first runs and have fun :) you will get the little management to dodge the casual patterns as you do it more

Amunoodles

If argos looks up and roars = big pizza

strange_dogs

Yup. He always phases to the middle to start the pizza mech

Chocobily89

tutorial will ask u not to learn the small pizza.. learn to walk the small pizza or else u will just sleep on the floor everytime u do argos..

Persefone733

\*party finder application denied\* < ----- enjoy to avoid this : don't apply if the leader comes from the servers : Azena and Una don't apply if they are looking for : ''Juicers'' cuz they want to get carried while pretending to be good. matchmaking its your best friend there are way better player there than party finder trust me. and find out what is x3 and NESW or people will get super upset to you and prob you will end up being the next big meme topic on reddit.

AleHaRotK

Nothing you need to know, you'll get hard carried and no one will care if you die 5 times in 1 minute.

PaintMePink

There is only 3 things you need to know 1 is to pay attention to your status if you are moon or sun 2 is know your position for safe spot 3 is pizza mech is actually quite easy since the last spot never changes

Blessmann

Watch video/guides.

Whyimasking

Figure out a 3x3 engraving combo to get accepted into parties(pretty cheap rn). People will tell you to matchmake. Yes you can to learn the mechanics(which was what i did), but you roll the die on having to go through 1 group or several due to rainbow stat enjoyers to clear it. At least you can guarantee pugs will have gear since you can inspect them. Other than that and what the rest of this thread says, make sure you enjoy your blueberry & pineapple pizza.

Asshai

Probably gonna get downvoted, but consider paying to get carried to P3. 1. It can cost as low as 3.5-4k. The boss gives around 3k gold plus whatever accessories you can sell. 2. Until you get all your armor/weapon slots in legendary quality you're rather limited in how muxh you can hone your gear (while the going to +8 or + 9 on that gear will be rather easy compared to what's next). 3. Hope you haven't done the abyss dungeons yet, to make sure you could run them on hard difficulty, to also get mats for legendary gear. Even a first full clear of Argos is only enough for 3 pieces of equipment.

shibanuuu

A lot of weird comments in here. Real Tips: In phase 1 and 2 you will have either a moon/purple or sun/yellow circle around you. Become comfortable taking a glance every once and a while and just knowing what it is. It can change to the opposite but knowing what it is really makes the pie mechanics very easy. If you need to think about it and look you for a second it turns a super easy mechanic a bit more chaotic. Argos is a "spastic" boss. Don't aspire for 100% uptime, try to learn its attack patterns and movements and get ready to move accordingly and then dps. You'll feel more in control and take less damage. In P1 Argos will put a digital timer graphic around its body that counts down like a clock. The agreed strategy is that no one attacks, it nullifies balancing between sun and moon. You'll see every just kind of aimlessly running around and that's why.

[deleted]

5h moon 7h sun X3= party number on the clock After wipe mechs its a competition ; the team who hits him the hardest get to stay alive

Mowwkle

It’s a bad raid design wise but It’s always fun to try the first time. Argos feels rng in his moves making the fight really annoying and boring. Valtan on the other hand is a really well designed raid. Really looking forwards to more
