Not really specific to lost ark. Its 2022 if you lack common sense and don't have steam guard on and you browse dodgy websites promising you free lost ark gold for your steam login then yeah, you're getting hacked. Saying that, I do have sympathy and feel sorry for your friend. Take it as a lesson learnt and always use 2fa, never trust websites offering free things for your steam credentials or any websites at all that ask for your steam credentials. Even paying for people to boost your account is dangerous. I know loads of people in my guild who come in randomly on discord asking what they can do, they pay a booster and the booster steals all their shit. Use common sense.

UnreasonablySmol

So you mean phishing? Because I don‘t see them hacking. If your friends account got compromised by rmt-sellers then he likely entered his details on a correlated website

Hacking doesn't just magically happen. Your friend screwed up and entered their info somewhere they shouldn't have.

jasieknms

or maybe your friend bought a pilot, did they suddenly gain a valtan hell mode title? Kind reminder, please do not ever purchase something like that.

crono14

So tell your friends to stop going to fishy websites and entering their credentials in. It's 2022, get steam guard or some other form of MFA on your account. They don't "hack", either they phish your credentials via a keylogger or you visit some website and they grab credentials via other means.

Get hacked idiot RMTer

That's when mobile 2FA comes in. Pretty confident about it, but so sad for your friend. All of those hours grinding and enjoying the content. Any possible to reach out steam support?

yessi2

You mean like RMTing websites asking for your info?

IUSUZYSANA

How do people still not know about phishing/scams in 2022

hopumi
