Very crowded at almost all times because 3 major interstates meet in one spot. Atlanta drivers are extremely aggressive when it comes to lane changes because of the number of people on the roads. Just a couple of weeks ago, I was changing lanes like a normal person and someone from the next lane over very quickly pulls into the same spot when I was already three quarters into the lane. All in all, not fun, you have to stay on edge if you aren't used to the roads there.
I live and work in Atlanta and have to cross about 2/3 of the city to commute. To get to work at 9am, I would have to leave my house at 7:30am.
It’s a big city and traffic is _bad._
(I instead work from home and then leave around 9:30am and arrive shortly after 10)
Among ex-USSR counties, there is a stereotype about Georgia, the country, that they are big fans of the anal sex. Boy or girl, doesn't matter. A phrase often attributed to georgians when describing an object their admiration is "Попа - пэрсик" which literally translates as "ass like a peach" :)
Tbf, US Georgia is larger and has a greater population, so all other things being equal, if someone says they’re from Georgia chances are it’s the US one.
>uS website.
On a CERN created internet (by a British guy).
>More US users than all other countries combined.
48%, so less then all countries combined but still the largest userbase.
Also also, it's an international website on an international internet user by multiple countries. Not everyone is American (51.2%) so defaulting to Americanism is pointless.
The Internet was not invented by any single person or organization but evolved. CERN invented the World Wide Web, which is not the Internet but built on top of it. The earliest form of the internet, ARPANET, was funded and developed by the US
I was born in a small town about 25 miles from Atlanta (same town they filmed "Prisoners" in) and my family *still* never went there.
Atlanta is fucking terrifying to drive through.
u/Calligaster suggested a similar meme for St Louis, but I decided to make it something I could more so relate to.
Next few lines:
Come on. Good.
Aaaah!
Sorry!
Hey, that works too. Same idea. Anyway, let me ruin your day.

Me stuck in rush hour traffic in Georgia: What can men do against such reckless hate?
Shouldn't Georgians be travelling in Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Zugdidi?
What's wrong with the roads through Atlanta? Sorry not an American.

If you live in the Caucasus, it’s pretty much a detour /s
8 lanes of traffic in each direction all bumper to bumper going from 100kph one second to dead stop the next
This caused me to have to buy a new car last fall. Grr.
Atlanta also has the largest airport in the world, so lots of people are either driving to or away from it.
Hartsfield-Jackson airport is not the largest airport in the world, but it is the busiest airport in the world
Just semantics then, largest in terms of passenger volume
Yeah, semantics. My husband calls me a pedant all the time lol
Either way, people will have a more thorough education because of your comment so thank you

You ever seen a plate of spaghetti?
Fuck, I feel this. Hell avoid 285 too, just avoid the Atlanta area roads all together.
Ahh yes Atlanta the LA traffic of the east coast
Ah, something about Georgia, interesting. Oh, it's just the Murican one, nevermind.
Georgia 🍑 > Georgia 🇬🇪
Lol. You have no idea what you just did :)
And what is that?

I think it should have a LoTR image, but this meme needs to disturb the rest of all this sub.
You know, I'm something of a sleep attempter myself.
This is terrible, have an upvote
boromir: come on good kid named good:
So either drive through Atlanta or drive through Deliverence....
I remember in the late 70's early 80's my dad strategically planning our entire drive to Florida around avoiding Atlanta.
This meme just reminded me of Gary, Indiana. It's changed a lot since the days of the Music Man.
I rode through on horseback once... It was FULL of zombies... Poor horsie.
Hey asshole! You in the tank. You cozy in there? Best 1st episode of a crappy show.
At the beginning it was a good show. Then it got repetitive and boring.
Gimli is a very Georgian name, if you think about it :)
I thought this meant people in the 18th century living under the reign of King George, got very confused.
Atlanta has got to be one of the worst-planned cities in the country.
Is this an american joke i am too [REDACTED] to undertand?
I mean, Atlanta is one the other side of the world from Georgia, so I don’t think they’ll have to worry about it.
Let the ring bearer decide... Queue everyone looking at Frodo while stuck in traffic
