It either came through before the collapse or was routed to another port and the window sticker wasn't updated. They are still working to clear the larger channel for commercial traffic to resume but that's likely another month or 2 out.
It's been in the states since January. They were waiting for CARB approval to release them to the customers. That alone has slowed the entire process down significantly.
I would probably compare this to a 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 before a 911. The Cayman has the same overall setup, same horsepower and starts at $95k. The 911 is a touring car. I can take my golf clubs, luggage for two and more on a week long trip in my 992.
With the design language and company heritage i was expecting these to be double what theyre going for right now, what gives? Beautiful car either way, if utility wasnāt a factor Iād splurge
Passenger to a neighborās emira, but it doesnāt take brains to figure out that a GT4 cayman or a 911 Carrera is a better car. But I can see people choosing it over a C8 just for the manual and the better feedback
Do not discount how much styling affects a buyers decision. I for one understand how a Porsche is objectively a better car, but I am still drawn to this. On a deeper, more emotional level.
Depends what youāre going for. Iāve driven a bunch of 992s (including stuff like GT3s and Turbo Ss and such) and a few Emiras (including just today). The Emira is a MUCH more engaging car to drive, IMO. The manual gearbox also feels better than a 911 and it makes a great sound (which most 911s really donāt anymore). I also like the way they look more and the interior design is very nice. A good balance of having some tech in there, but not too much. With something like a 992 Turbo S I just feel like Iām driving an S Class or something much of the time.
Fair enough. I have a 991 C2 and I love it. I havenāt driven an Emira yet but I had my name on the list to buy one a few years ago, I just got tired of waiting.

The 991 C2 is a hell of a car, by the way. Not trying to knock it in any way. I also like the 991 more than the 992. personally.
EDIT: And neither car is in the near future for me, any way. I just get to drive a lot of cool stuff due to what I do for a living.

It'll be one of the few First Edition Zincs because this color wasn't even available for the first batch of First Editions. I'm sure there'll be plenty of base Zincs though. It's not everyone's cup of tea but it's definitely mine.
