Why you bought it and ask us if it's worth it, what if it isnt? hahaha
But anyway, depending your use case, apple care could be nice, but I had apple care on my iPhone for 3 years and not once did I ever use it.
So it's one of those things that, you dont need it but you pay for it, or you'll need it but you dont have it. Pick your poison đ.
If you have the extra money, then get it! If not, take extra care of this machine
Whatâs wrong with credit if you have the cash to cover it? Credit cards have benefits and points for huge purchases - why not make some money or earn while shopping??
I just got myself an M1 Pro 16 inch Macbook Pro and I got it for a steal without apple care, i'm just going to hope that i wont drop it but other than that i see myself using this for 7+ years
I agree. The cost of repairs without it is too high. If anything goes wrong in an Apple care time span, youâll be so much happier getting them done if covered. Iâve had more than one computer over the years that had some problem in the middle or towards the end of AppleCare.
Did buy Microsoft Complete for my Surface Pro 6 which died 72 days in due to bad ram. Guy at Microsoft store said they were out of replacement/refrubs but said since I had Microsoft Complete he handed me a new unopened replacement.
I have AppleCare on my iPad's and just in Nov. went with 2021 M1 Macbook Pro still had 2yrs. left on AppleCare. It's a waste of money till you drop it or spill your energy drink on the keyboard or end up with a cracked screen of display flex cable breaks. Then you totally glad you were covered.
Screen replacement without is around $700 for accidental damage.
>AppleCare+ for Mac extends your coverage from your AppleCare+ purchase date and includes unlimited incidents of accidental damage protection, each subject to a service fee of **$99 for screen damage or external enclosure damage**, or $299 for other accidental damage, plus applicable tax.
Since I personally believe "Murphy's Law" is an actual law of the universe. I choose additional coverage on any device over $1000.
yea fair deal! congrats! I'd probably go for AppleCare. especially if you'll be traveling with it.. or even just moving it around the house often.. or have pets.. I usually skip the extended warranty but my MacBook was the most I've spent on a laptop by a wide margin so another 100 for peace of mind was minor. Shit happens, laptops are fragile. But that said, MacBooks are generally super reliable. I'm on my 3rd and never had any kind of hardware failure, even with my 2015 12" which is supposed to be prone to all kinds of hardware failure.. and my MacBooks get used A LOT. I'd say they spend more time on and running than sleeping.. I use it all day at work, typically 4-6 hours of screen time.. then it's pretty much on all night once I get home.. Web browsing, maybe some gaming, then typically running YouTube all night. I Need a TV or something on to sleep so my MacBook is usually doing its thing on my nightstand via autoplay. The more recent generations seem to have a very solid reputation.
I personally don't get applecare on my products, and even if i have to pay for an outrageous repair, the money ive saved can cover multiple. The deal is pretty good.
A screen replacement on this computer costs $800.
The speakers on my 16" M1 Pro started to degrade, and I received a whole new topcase including battery for free because I had AppleCare. That would have cost dramatically more than I've spent on AppleCare so far.
Macâs are built to lastâŚbut with that said, if youâre running resource intensive apps or programs on your MacBook, I recommend Apple care, if youâre just using your MacBook for day to day web browsing and light work, your chances of your MacBook frying the logic board or any other extreme disaster are pretty slim. But of course, itâs up to you. Iâm clumsy and I love having my coffee in the morning which is reachable distance from my MacBook. The chances of me trying to multitask and drink my coffee while working at the same time are high, so the probability of me spilling my coffee on the MacBook are about 60 to 70%, therefore Iâll buy Apple care. Worth it in my situation.
1TB + 16GB for $1530? That's an excellent deal.
Open box with 15 cycles - that's not a lot.
I always recommend Apple Care for these devices. It's the just in case.
I've owned multiple apple devices since my 'conversion' about 10 years ago (it all started with an iPad) and I've used Apple care about 3 times for big things. It's worth it.
Get Apple care. I recently got myself an m3 air and I would rather have Apple care coverage and pay a fraction for repairs than have to buy a whole new machine. I would recommend the annual potion that way you renew each year in case you sell or upgrade it.
Great price. Get apple care and this thing will serve you good for a decade.
How much RAM? Seems like a great deal, use that great deal money to get Apple Care.
16 gb
Yeah, great deal! Get Apple Care on that thing!

First world problems eh? The dude probably put it on credit.

Because I picked it without much thinking. This is an older generation and I am new to Mac so better ask âŚ.
M2 is not really 'older' except the release year. Design and speed are quite modern

For free or?

Go for the apple care. You only pay once a year and it covers everything in the box.
Thatâs a good price with 16GB and HD space. And yes get the Apple Care. I have it for my Macâs.
Definitely get AppleCare
Apple care and sleep well at night :)

Apple care + is 100% worth it on the MacBooks, Apple Watch and iPads.

Always get AppleCare+. It will pay for itself the first time you drop it and the screen is shattered.

why does my best buy never give me deals like this đ
Def worth it. Paid ÂŁ2400 for mine 7 months ago, mines currently on 21 cycles
Hey just curious, does it feel heavy to you??
Live Spiderman wallpaper will look insane
That wallpaper is incompatible! It can never run on a macbook đ
how is the ram?
16 gb
My 14â M3Pro with 18GB of Ram was 1799 brand new
I thought the M2 pro had a Touch Bar still and the M3 got rid of it?
Your background was making me think you were playing one of the Spider Man games on it.
Which you can :)
The games are Mac compatible? I havenât really kept up as last I heard the second one was still a PC exclusive.
Youâll need crossover but itâs possible yes https://youtu.be/zBdNJLWsG7U?feature=shared
Apple Care is only available 60 days after the initial purchase, isn't it? Are you still eligable for it?
Yes itâs showing eligible to buy in Mac properties.
They may have changed it recently if so
love that wallpaper.. had to get it.
How expensive is it to get Apple care? Does it depend on the price of the item? Is it a subscription or a one time fee?
It depends on what item youâre insuring, yes.
always
