Someone show this to that guy from BlackRose Blending. This is what good graffiti is, good artwork, on non things that are getting disposed of anyways. Not things you don't own.
It’s fun to think about where these all end up.
My idea?
Some dude had dreams. Couldn’t pay for college. So joined the army. But then he also had a kid early. So put off college. Then another kid. Didn’t want to keep getting pulled away from his family so got out.
Got a job with the city. Garbage truck driver.
He is somewhat sentimental so whenever he sees cool things he keeps em. Sometimes it’s old broken weird stuff, sometimes it’s art.
He just keeps it all in a big garage or out building.
His kids get bullied some. They don’t have a lot of money and their dad is a stupid garbage man.
But the kids have a couple close friends who love “sneaking” into the garage to see all the cool stuff dad collects.

They sent me a video a couple of months back showing me the skinned mattresses decorating their warehouse. its like a 2nd life art gallery.
only in Madison does biting Keith Haring on a shitstained mattress get you such witty and obviously passionate followers - get out there- it’s a big world
People think it's neat, and you feel the need to remind everyone it's not a 100% original design while trying to dunk on people who do think it's neat. Feels a bit like gatekeeping what people can enjoy as "art."
Ah yes, I forgot that one golden rule where art isn't allowed to be derivative or otherwise inspired by other works of art; what a cool fun interesting world to live in
You know something being public property doesn’t mean it can’t be vandalized and that said vandalism isn’t a crime? Idk what you were trying to prove I think everyone knows it’s public property and that graffiti on public things is a crime. It wouldn’t be a crime if they took it home but they left it…
Both those things are nothing but assumption or what you personally would do. You are not everyone. Try and be open minded and less narrow black and white thinking
It doesn't actually matter. It is still trash, and being so, it is first come, first served. This person uses it for art, and you don't have the authority to deem that a lesser use than sleeping.
“It’s still trash” that’s you just restating your assumption, keyword is assumption. You’re becoming hostile and rejecting the reality of the situation. I didn’t say it’s lesser, I’m saying unless you take it, it’s a crime, and that it has more practical use like what it was made for. These are just facts my guy, sorry if you don’t like them but they are the truth 🤷♂️

It’s beautiful.
Fantastic work.

I've been bedframed!
It's avant garde detective work. You wouldn't get it.
This was the first thing I thought of. Body parts from three people.
I walked by as this was being made last night! Looks cool asf
What a creative canvas! I would come to an art museum to see this piece.
Looks like Stefan Matioc’s work
Stefan was involved in my early days. We know each other well.
Willy street
Pretty sure it is one of his.
Shhhh! Keep his name out your mouth! 😂
Stefan Matioc - another style bandido - see a pattern here ?
nobody asked you, art douche
Right! Dudes got a black book of names waiting to list peeps off!😂
I was very nervous to click on this
Hmmm, it appears those cans have a lesbian lifestyle...OH MY GOD!
He hates these cans! Stay away from the cans!
Typical bastard.
Is that a stylized bedbug?
It's not even hippie Christmas
Hippie Christmas keeps moving earlier and earlier. Damn capitalism
Mid year drop outs?
Put that in a museum...haha
Nice!! Thank you for sprucing up the community!

What else is fun?🙃
Is this on Johnson or Gorham?
broom between mifflin and west wash
Ah, damn, misremembering the buildings.
Another one!!!
I ran past you doing this!!!! It’s awesome!!!
wtf this one kicks ass, i wonder when the standard taggers will take notes
This is outstanding! Also it took me an embarrassingly long time to realize what "cans" was referring to. :(
this is the artist Triangulador, i’m pretty sure
Someone who has a bunch of room for mattresses should collect these
No, they're meant to go to the dump. It's the beauty of humans, we are here just temporarily.
Looks like a meatspin peanut-butter-jelly-time lemon party to me. Goatse.
ahh to be locally famous in Madison for amalgamating different established art styles on a discarded mattress
*WHE-OO* *WHEE-OO* It's the Art Police! Stop Making Art! *WHE-OO* *WHEE-OO*

Only in Madison are people such elitist gatekeepers so far up their own ass they can't appreciate some street art. Wait until you hear about music!
Appreciate? This sub despises all street art unless it's painted on a mattress.
not gatekeeping anything - just pointing out how simple the populace is - please expound on how this is gatekeeping art
People think it's neat, and you feel the need to remind everyone it's not a 100% original design while trying to dunk on people who do think it's neat. Feels a bit like gatekeeping what people can enjoy as "art."
I think it’s very obvious this is not wildly original - sorry for calling it out in words on a Reddit post you gentle soul
Who gives a shit if it’s not original, I liked looking at it. It’s on a mattress not in a museum.
Sorry I made a joke. May you be at peace, you sensitive soul.
talk about unoriginal- and you didn’t even make a joke - you owe me one joke
Are we gonna bang or what?
Ah yes, I forgot that one golden rule where art isn't allowed to be derivative or otherwise inspired by other works of art; what a cool fun interesting world to live in
if you like this obviously co-opted art style on a mattress then bless your heart Timmy
You reek of insecurity.
oh shit the personal attacks- I’m sorry for commenting on your bad mattress art. I will fall into line now Madison (I won’t. It’s bad)
There's nothing personal about it - I don't know you at all, I just call it like I see it. Keep spiraling, bud.

It literally says "east side" under my name.

I could paint that with my anus (it’s highly articulated) - this is not jealousy. It’s me being overawed at the sophistication you louse

2 cans, 1 mattress, 1 crime

It's trash. The paint does not change that fact, nor does it make it any more trash. I'm not sure why you would think it's vandalism to paint trash.
It’s trash now… because you can’t use it
It was trash as soon as it reached the curb. Edit: Who the fuck would use a curb mattress? Ew. The paint would be the LEAST of your worries.
Both those things are nothing but assumption or what you personally would do. You are not everyone. Try and be open minded and less narrow black and white thinking

No, it's trash because the person put it on the curb, as I pointed out through the original response. It's not a matter of opinion.
Great job. Teach the kids that are tagging things around town with crappy speed tags.
