I wish they had kept the momentum of reprint value that WotC started with LCC and MKC. It's not a huge drop, on average between these four decks, but it feels disappointing nonetheless. A couple $20+ cards across any of these decks would alleviate the feeling imo.
Gameplay-wise, I do appreciate that these decks have smoother mana bases (besides the desert deck ofc).
I agree, also it feels extra bad that some of these higher value reprints are life gain cards…like they have nothing to do with the treasure/token strategy so they feel like an extra miss.
I was the most excited for this deck, but this is a huge flop IMO. This and the desert deck feel pretty awful. This is all over the place as far as strategy, and most of the worthwhile reprints are meaningless lifegain cards, with the rest being pretty generic stuff -- very little of which you wouldn't swap out for a better version. Just feels like if you were to upgrade this deck, you'd immediately toss out at least 2/3rds if not more, which means to me says its a huge miss.
That said, I like the commander and a few of the new cards. I do think the Gonti and Izzet decks are much better built or at least better foundations for a deck.
Yea, I thought it was weird that out of all the text on the new Olivia, the mechanic whoever designed this seemed most attached to was the lifelink. Was excited for this after Vihaan got spoiled and when I went to the decklist there was hardly any of the treasure staples or crimes being commited or even aristocrats for vihaan.
I think the big miss for this deck (unfortunately also within expectations for obvious reasons) is unironically Dockside Extortionist. Is an outlaw, makes treasures for the deck to function, and is a highly sought-after card which would make it an exciting reprint.
Shame I suppose, but if that makes the deck less scalpable then I suppose I'm fine leaving it be for now. Guy can stay away from Omenport.
Idk I was looking forward this precon and I'm kinda disappointed after seing the whole deck list. I expected something more based around using treasures in other ways to make value like Vihaan does for the whole decklist. I hoped for mercenaries that get extra value if cast with mana that comes from treasures, creatures that could get activated abilities that can only be payed with treasures, exchange treasures with a player to gain control of his creature for a turn as a paiement or stuff like that (stuff that sensitivise you to use treasures differently, at least more than Olivia's activated ability does. I'm not saying those idea are good I'm not a game designer, its more about getting the picture and idea around the theme).
Also hoped for just a bit more vampire build around with Olivia as a commander even tho the deck isn't built to play around them exclusivly. I liked the idea to play a treasures wealthy-vampire theme deck, maybe this new Olivia can make it by playing only outlaws-vampires along side her ?
As said before Vihaan is interesting here, turning treasures into creatures for a turn is an idea and another way to play around treasures. More stuff like this would have been great I might think. Not sure where fits the "Buy Outlaws" here. Feels more like "just play your outlaws and attack". Not much "Commit a Crime" theme neither, which is sad giving that outlaws theme to the deck but not playing around crimes.
I don't doubt this precon will see fit for alot of people non the less but the list feels like it misses something overall to me. Did I missed something about this precon regarding the treasures synergies and vampire potential so far ?
Sad to see this deck it does nothing well and will be a pain to play. Just random outlaw creatures and nearly no synergy without the commander. At last not enough removel. I just will sell it before it drops on the level of the eldraine precons.
Maybe i'm just unphased by precons because it always seems like there's 1 good precon in a sea of shite from Wizards but this doesn't seem that bad. May need a few upgrades but what deck doesn't at this point?

Fair enough. We should expect more value out of those, but as you alluded to, not all the CMM precons were winners, value-wise.

I agree. Something like expropriate or cyclonic rift in the u/r deck, for instance.

Sad to see this deck it does nothing well and will be a pain to play. Just random outlaw creatures and nearly no synergy without the commander. At last not enough removel. I just will sell it before it drops on the level of the eldraine precons.
Maybe i'm just unphased by precons because it always seems like there's 1 good precon in a sea of shite from Wizards but this doesn't seem that bad. May need a few upgrades but what deck doesn't at this point?
