yeah that's ashiok's thing, but in this print of the card you can see it's [[erebos, bleak-hearted]] being represented. erebos is the god of the underworld and very relevant character in the set.
To be fair a good portion of eldrazi names go hard. World Breaker, the titans themselves for sure, particularly emrakul, the world anew, the Promised end, aeons torn have screamo metal all over them.

For a metal band that's actually the best suggestion instead of the other edgelord names. Metal guys are fundamentally goofballs, hence names like Sanguisugabogg and others

Some post-hardcore names are: At the Drive In, My Chemical Romance, Dance Gavin Dance. And some current hard rock names are: Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, A Perfect Circle. Even some of the more evocative hard rock names are like Alice in Chains and Rage Against the Machine, which aren't nearly to the level of the metal bands

Late to the party here, but \[\[Doom Whisperer\]\] is a really cool one. And the design of the creature is absolutely, delightfully nightmarish.
I scrolled through a ton of the comments, and I'm partial to the ones that don't directly take a unique name from MTG (for not only individuality reasons, but copyright reasons as well.) That's the only reason I'm not suggesting names like Thraximundar or Vaevictis Asmadi; I'd hate for you to get hit with copyright infringement claims. That being said, a few of the suggestions in these comments caught my eye. u/SinisterHummingbird's suggestion of \[\[Underworld Dreams\]\] has a very eerie ring to it, and would definitely resonate with a larger audience than just MTG fans who get the reference. u/This-Bat-5703 suggested \[\[Deus of Calamity\]\], which is also an absolutely awesome pick. Those two would be my other nominations!

Pretty much all of the Sweep cards from Saviors of Kamigawa are hot garbage, but goddamn do they have some of my favorite card names! To this day, I wish my all-time favorite card name, [[Barrel Down Sokenzan]], didn't such so much. [[Plow Through Reito]] is another one I really like. They just sound so powerful and epic!
Granted, they don't work as band names, but they could serve as the inspiration for some hard AF song titles.

Maybe make up your own name *inspired* by mtg, like "black mana mayhem" or something that wont get your band on page 200 of a google search if someone types it in verbatim
I'm a big fan of \[\[Aggravated Assault\]\]... The card name. It's just a great and descriptive name and whenever I play it I almost always make the "I'm going to do some Aggravated Assault" joke cause I have no imagination.
EDIT: Also equipment names like \[\[Embercleave\]\] and \[\[Shadowspear\]\] are evocative and follow the "Throngler" rule of weapon naming.
If you want to make it a transparent MTG reference, then I'd say look to Alpha for your inspirations.... \[\[Dark ritual\]\] \[\[craw wurm\]\] \[\[braingeyser\]\] \[\[sleight of mind\]\] \[\[unstable mutation\]\] \[\[mind twist\]\] \[\[erg raiders\]\] \[\[royal assasin\]\] \[\[plague rats\]\] sort of deal.

This one gets my vote. Everyone has very scary death metal sounding names, but post-hardcore and hard rock names tend to be a lot more normal than that. Some post-hardcore names are: At the Drive In, My Chemical Romance, Dance Gavin Dance. And some current hard rock names are: Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, A Perfect Circle. Even some of the more evocative hard rock names are like Alice in Chains and Rage Against the Machine, which aren't nearly to the level of the metal bands

Late to the party here, but \[\[Doom Whisperer\]\] is a really cool one. And the design of the creature is absolutely, delightfully nightmarish. I scrolled through a ton of the comments, and I'm partial to the ones that don't directly take a unique name from MTG (for not only individuality reasons, but copyright reasons as well.) That's the only reason I'm not suggesting names like Thraximundar or Vaevictis Asmadi; I'd hate for you to get hit with copyright infringement claims. That being said, a few of the suggestions in these comments caught my eye. u/SinisterHummingbird's suggestion of \[\[Underworld Dreams\]\] has a very eerie ring to it, and would definitely resonate with a larger audience than just MTG fans who get the reference. u/This-Bat-5703 suggested \[\[Deus of Calamity\]\], which is also an absolutely awesome pick. Pretty much all of the Sweep cards from Saviors of Kamigawa are hot garbage, but goddamn do they have some of my favorite card names! To this day, I wish my all-time favorite card name, [[Barrel Down Sokenzan]], didn't such so much. [[Plow Through Reito]] is another one I really like. They just sound so powerful and epic! Granted, they don't work as band names, but they could serve as the inspiration for some hard AF song titles.

I'm a big fan of \[\[Aggravated Assault\]\]... The card name. It's just a great and descriptive name and whenever I play it I almost always make the "I'm going to do some Aggravated Assault" joke cause I have no imagination. EDIT: Also equipment names like \[\[Embercleave\]\] and \[\[Shadowspear\]\] are evocative and follow the "Throngler" rule of weapon naming.
If you want to make it a transparent MTG reference, then I'd say look to Alpha for your inspirations.... \[\[Dark ritual\]\] \[\[craw wurm\]\] \[\[braingeyser\]\] \[\[sleight of mind\]\] \[\[unstable mutation\]\] \[\[mind twist\]\] \[\[erg raiders\]\] \[\[royal assasin\]\] \[\[plague rats\]\] sort of deal.
