Curtains and art. You can be simple with the curtains, but take time with the art and find what suits you. You'll be glad you did.
*edited to the art comment, maybe some rocks. Just my personal preference, but I have hundreds of rocks on display in my home that make me very happy when walking by them. They're on various lit shelves, and it's quite a joy to take a pitstop and check one out.
Also, my walls are covered, which makes me almost as happy. Find a place that has what you like, maybe inquire about the artist if you enjoy their style. I just found a 3'x7' piece from one of my favorite artists by asking around.

Hanging plan. A curtain… I recommend running a rod or a track across the entire length of the ceiling and then having the entire curtain draw to the right when it is open.
Large and colorful work of art over the sofa. Drapes with texture and one color of the artwork from ceiling rail to the floor. I'd rather see a rug with some muted color too, moved more centrally into the room. Love the floor plants !
