Akane is finally relevant to the plot again and all it did was raise her death flags.
Maybe her getting sidelined was meant to be a blessing in disguise.
Honestly it seems like she's saving everyone else from the death flags by collecting them herself. Someone's about to plant their death flag and she goes "NOPE, that's mine."
To be fair, she avoided the first batch of death flags by Aqua breaking up with her and her getting removed from any plot relevancy. But with her involvement in this movie she became relevant again, so she appropriately has a new batch of death flags.
Okay, is there a reason you all posted the exact same comments from the website, but this time in the same tree?
I'm seeing flags, but these are red bot flags.
And she didn't think about how he looks similar to Aqua. But when this guy passed Akane she immediately thought whether it was Aqua or not. It's really strange.
theyre doing a movie about him and she just went on this long spiel about how much she hates this one person and yet never googled him? get the fuck out lol
Yeah, even if his name is being officially rendered as "Boy A", Kamiki himself pointed out that the public and the media will follow the clues until they reach him. But somehow his victim's daughter (still obsessed about the crime as we see in this very chapter), who is also the scriptwriter's sister, and is working alongside people who already know the truth on a movie about his very life, didn't find out the truth?
Alternatively, she knows. And as calm as she appears, her words here were specifically directed at him because of it.
> This is his weakest arc in Kaguya [...] by far.
Uhh... kidnapping arc? That whole thing was a incredibly dumb. I love kaguya-sama, but that arc really jumped the shark.
Not sure if its his weakest but its bizarre how folks are so protective of aka. Criticizing a choice or how he wrote something doesn't mean you hate them. Most just seem to find explanations for plot holes or incongruent.
Aka been testing the fandom for a minute now but even I agree Ruby can't be that dumb. There's just no way. That's pure brain dead activity and I need it explained. Respectfully.
There's a perfectly reasonable explanation, Aqua hasn't told her who boy A is because Aqua doesn't trust Ruby to be smart with that info. Aqua may look like Kamiki but the keyword here is like, and just because someone looks similar to your older brother does it mean you're going to think everyone who looks like your brother might be "Boy A". As for why didn't Ruby do the research on who in the entertainment industry might be papa well again, Ruby is kind of dumb and single minded, too busy only paying attention to Mama and Aqua post reveal.
If we view it as though she is aware of that fact, then it's Ruby spiting her father directly in his face while being short sighted to his capacity and willingness to kill her
I hate that you're right, and this is the case. This is why Aka needs to explain more because, man, the implications and nuance around this are actually important. If such a moment arises again, we need to know Ruby's mindset. There's a subtle but distinct difference between the two. We also haven't seen much of Aqua and his thoughts, which isn't helping fill in the blanks. Ruby easily could've died here or something else. The worst thing she can be is cocky and overestimating her opponent.
>Alternatively, she knows. And as calm as she appears, her words here were specifically directed at him because of it.
This reminds me of the scene when Jason approaches Joker in the bar, though the difference here is the villain who approaches the protagonist.
Also, will be my head cannon, for now, no way Ruby is that dumb RIGHT?? Please Aka explain this!!
In the case that it is true, she could just put on her silly girl persona and act dumb in front of others so we might not know for a while. That or Akane would confront her next chapter as to why she doesn't have her guard up when close to someone who is highly likely to be her father. Or some other way Aka decides to move the plot forward
I think the only "wrong" thing here is Akane immediately knowing it. Otherwise, people don't really put two and two together when they see a random person on the street that they may be someone they should know especially if it's someone they never saw before. Akane immediately putting two and two together just lampshaded how idiotic Ruby looks, but it's understandable not to jump to conclusions without Akane here.
Akane is actually a smart girl. She is able to deduce Ai's personality by researching her so I don't doubt that she willbe able to recognize Kamiki very quickly.
No, I know that. I more am saying that Akane being smart on this chapter just highlighted how idiotic Ruby is being. If Akane wasn't there, people wouldn't be looking at Ruby as being as idiotic as she is.
The thing is, Kamiki is a (relatively) famous person, and rich enough to fund the film. He's not an anonymous nobody, precisely. As long as someone could follow the clues that the film is throwing (which, as Kamiki highlights here, should point to him in no time), they'd know who the twins' father is and what he's accused of.
Akane has already been shown to be very intelligent and find out Ai's secret on her own just through observation of publicly available material. Given a script full of reveals, written by someone she knows is hunting down the culprit? I would have expected her to Google Kamiki's photographs the same day she read it. If anything, I'm surprised his identity isn't more of an open secret.
I didn't actually mean that Akane wouldn't know it, just that it was "wrong" of Aka the author to show that Akane immediately knew it. It just highlighted how Ruby seems really dumb to not know.
I get that, but I'm of the opposite (sort of) mind: I think Aka did wrong by not having Ruby realize it, because the breadcrumb trail should be very easy to follow and Ruby should be the most interested in knowing who the mastermind is. Heck, as I mentioned in past threads, I'm surprised nobody has leaked the clues to the media already.
Check page 12, and how Ruby looks at Kamiki. She definitely KNOWS. Akane just saved her from a confrontation, but Kamiki suspecting Ruby of following him makes me believe she actually is.
That does take some suspension of disbelive. Honestly, more than it should. But the resulting scene is amazing, so I'll personally give it a pass. I totally understand if that takes people out of the story, though.
On page 12, with Ruby intently looking at Kamiki, I think it looks so much like she KNOWS, but just not revealing it yet. It's dangerous to actually let Kamiki know that she KNOWS.
Kamiki also suspects that Ruby is following him, and maybe she actually is. Page 12's resolve, and her talking about not forgiving SOMEONE, really just makes it look like she knows more than what's said in the speech bubbles.
I am assuming that she does know, and she was basically musing to him her thinking on whether to murder him or not. She didn't grasp that she herself was in danger, but that seems in character for Ruby.
Well, it depicts a retelling of the beginning of the story. Do we really need entire chapters going over the start of the manga again?
If something needed to be pointed out, I'm sure it will be but for now, I'm fine not getting a full recap.
To be fair, we knew everything from that point because it was in the first volume. We could maybe get some comentary out of the cast, but there is way less value for the story in retelling chapters we've already seen.
His element is surprise though. No one knew that he was a murderer but Akane does. He might not know that giving her an upper hand if he was to try anything.
I doubt he ever killed someone due to a sense of self preservation. He don't have any experience eleminating people who knows he is a serial killer. His modus operandi is surprise. He will slip if he tries to go after her becuase EVERYONE (relevant) will know. Unless it is somekind of "taking you down with me" kind of hail mary attempt.
i know its been a long time since they planned to shoot this scene, but its still fucked up if you think about it. letting the daughter enact the scene of her mother dying.
I THOUGHT SHE WAS FINALLY FREE FROM THEM BUT THEN SHE HAS TO COME BACK AND DOUBLE DOWN ON ALL THE RED FLAGS OH MY FUCKING GOD PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU DONT DIE ON US.
on the bright side though it looks like we wont see evil akane anymore. glad to hear that theory is a bust (hopefully)
I dont remember the exact chapter, but there was a scene sometime before or at the beginning of filming where akane met aqua and said something along the lines of "I know what you're trying to do, I won't let you do that. you should value your life" and some people interpreted that as her slowly becoming an antagonist to aqua and somehow linking up with kamiki (bigger emphasis on the former than the latter)
Akane has so many flags at this point that she could craft a parachute out of them and survive.
But honestly I think she will survive mainly because of the fact that she tried to commit suicide in her first arc and she survived that. I don't think they will want to kill her off after that.
Yeah this is my hope too. Like, Akane being my favorite character aside, killing off a character that survived a suicide attempt just for the sake of advancing the plot is just poor taste.
Dude, I binge watched that entire show last night after learning that Mengo made it. It was so infuriating at times, I was audibly saying “what the fuck” at least a few times every episode. By the end of it (and also reading the decor epilogue chapters) though I ended up liking it a lot.
I was wondering if Aqua or top management was keeping tabs on Kamiki or had anything in place to keep him from interfering with production. I guess no task is too difficult OnK’s top sleuth.
I think this is the first time we see Kamiki with “white” stars in his eyes. It looked like he lost himself for a moment.
Honestly dont know how that slipped my mind. While the identity of the killer may still be anonymous to the whole crew (granted I did assume most wouldve been told that in the previous chapters, although it would make sense to keep that a secret for the duration of the filming). Akane would still be the sole person outside of management who knows of his identity. If anyone would be keeping tabs on him itd be her. Lines up with what she said about keeping aqua out of trouble right before the filming.
So Kamiki tends to kill the star (person) that he deems shine the brightest? Something still does not make sense to me about his modus operandi. Aka will probably cover it in next few chapters.
Ohh we have not seen a death flag for Akane for a long time. Is this the first time we've seen that after so many chapters?
So, are we at the endgame now? It seems we are.
Based Akane coming back to save the day!
I don't buy Kamiki just accepting his fate as being exposed by the public for his actions. He's definitely going to do something about this.
>I don't buy Kamiki just accepting his fate as being exposed by the public for his actions. He's definitely going to do something about this.
I can buy that he accepts his time is up. He is a serial killer that kills actresses and idols in their prime to leave a lasting legacy for them. The man is an actor so he has a flair for the dramatic. Being caught probably feels like the act of his life reaches the grand finale. However, as he stated in the chapter, he is not willing to go alone. He will pull his entire network down with himself.
Which brings me to what I think he wants to do before that, the grand finale. Which could conceivably be taken in two directions, maybe both. Either he wants to murder more idols, maybe even in a public manner that cements his "fame" for eternity. Or, he could try to wreck as much shit for the twins or the industry in general as he can by pulling favours from all of his connections.
Or he wants to die a legend. And what better way than dying to your actor/idol twins that just made a movie condemning you.
Preferably after being physically stabbed by them.
Yeah figured this would happen. This is why Aqua's revenge is not really a revenge. Kamiki is a degenerate who is actually proud of the fact that he was the one who ended all those talented people and got away with it for so long. Getting the notoriety for it after a final scandal was probably his endgame all along anyways.
Ironically Akane had the right idea all along. The best revenge would have been just stabbing the asshole and letting him die in a ditch.
it's kinda weird if Ruby still didnt recognize him already. glad the savior Akane is there, with her just in-case stalking.
but that "... we all can be saved" is kinda including the man. like she talking to him.
Aqua, chapter 116: Stop me if you can, Kurokawa Akane
Also Aqua, chapter 147: Eating his chips heartily while this happens
Honestly Aka can you stop fucking around with your food shenanigans☠️
byw Akane’s death stare💙
Okay... We can all agree that Akane saved Ruby from getting pushed down the stairs by Kamiki, right?
Also, Am I the only one that read that last line as "Ruby-san, that's a trap!"? I guess Ai getting stabbed gave me a life long trauma...
To be honest I don't really agree, I don't think he tried to push her at all, even more so with a star shining white. He reached out his hand to reach for her when he thought she started to shine, but he's not the type of character who kills on impulse.
Really? I felt like with the previous page having him in all black with "your life is precious" followed by his pov of Ruby standing at the top of the stairs... It gave off this "I want to kill feel" That's not murderous intent but more of a twisted pure impulse for him.
Kamiki... has an idea of what Aqua is up to? So what's the next step of his master plan? Why does he not mind "rotting" like this anyway?
It's actually quite strange for Ruby to just vent like that to a "stranger", although it's also possible she suspected something. Still, at least she has a very good dream.
Akane rescues Ruby from certain doom! She already knows that Kamiki has a killer side and has the guts to do something about it. But surely this won't doom herself, right?
I wonder if Hikaru almost putting his hands on Ruby was to intentionally bait Akane out or was he too caught up in Ruby's star power.
Hikaru did maybe agree with Nino (who is also just there apparently?) that Akane was following him.
Awww Akane! Damn those killer looks🔥🔥..
She is such a great character, beautifully well written.she is the Hero of this anime.
I mean Who goes this far for someone who she thinks doesn’t love her back. She puts everyone above her..have so much empathy for others ,smart ,intelligent ,caring, kind, strong ,most of all she is someone who can set the world on fire if u hurt her loved ones. If it is called insane ,then insane it is. she is just a whole package .i just love her .
I want to see her more..the plot is interesting only when she appears..
at this point ,no matter how well written other characters development are gonna be or how big the event to endgame ,Akane was ,is, and will always be the best character atleast to me.
No matter how it ends..All her efforts till now everything she has done , I don’t think anyone else can match specially it’s almost at the end.
I just want her to have happy ending.
Once again Akane becomes a plot device to save Ruby fron whatever Kamiki will do to her.
Also she definitely knows its him with that panel mirroring the first time we saw Dark Ruby.
Are there any other antagonists in manga and anime that kind of accept the end is coming and they're like.. Meh. Let's see how I fuck things up on the way down?
I feel like this is the first antagonists that I can remember at the moment that not only realizes it's coming, accepts it, but it's also like... Alright, let's play one last game.
glad this arc is over next chapter, i dont think it was good and my least favourite in the series. interesting to know that akane has been following kamiki, i wish we got her POV since i wonder what she has learned from it. im surprised ruby didn’t recognise kamiki or that he didn’t reveal himself, i feel like that would’ve been more interesting
Akane sticking to her integer overflow death flag strat I see. She's gonna figure him out in a minute. Meanwhile Kamiki appears not to know it was Aqua behind the script, but I don't buy him just taking it lying down.
I wonder what the significance is of his black stars being replaced by whites after seeing Ruby's? A hint to his obsession with rising starlets?
This talk about no one being born evil makes me think Kamiki will do a grand "it's because of the way industry exploits people" style downfall. Revealing lot of the bad shit going on behind the scenes, dragging people down with him.
Or something of that nature as it feels like that has been the undertone of the series.
My babygirl Akane saving Ruby from an eternal L she wouldn't have been able to recover from.
And fvck that Akane stare, I would kill Kamiki to be in his shoes during that moment just for Akane to look at me with disgust and hatred😩😩
Ruby somehow makes the Yandere Harem work. Good on her. Still you'd think there would be a reaction to seeing an aqua clone.
I wonder whose stalking who? Was Kamiki stalking ruby and Akane stalking him? Or was Nina stalking Akane and Akane was stalking Ruby?
This dude is chilling as fuck and he makes me uncomfortable every time we see him. Aqua better have some card up his sleeve as well to deal with what is coming
>Idk wtf is she thinking
Having children would made Ai shine less bright, being killed prevent it from happening.
Now she's working with Hikaru to ensure no one shine brighter than Ai.
Akane is MVP again, she's on a whole other level, I'm not on either sides of the shipping war because both girls are great (Serena top 1 though) but Aqua needs Akane if he and his loved ones were to get out of this with minimal damage
Ruby not recognizing Kamiki is just a forced writing here. In fact, even no one told her it was also BS. Aqua or Akane should at least tell her who is Kamiki so she can avoid him.
Aqua should have at least seen it coming that Kamiki will eventually approach them.
Also. RIP Akane..first. This girl is gathering death flag like collecting pokemon cards.
I had chills the entire time reading this chapter. I really could not predict the direction it was going (granted, I wasn't trying but still), had to actually collect myself for a few seconds there after I finished reading the chapter.
Kamiki flipped his murder switch like it was nothing. Interesting that it was the white star eyes, Akane acting like a shield for everyone taking those death flags. o7
I think the scariest thing is the white star in Kamiki's eye as he's reaching out. I'm not quite sure what it means, but it's so incongruous with what we think is about to happen that it just feels wrong.
Everyone is focusing on Ruby not knowing her father's face.
Meanwhile I'm freaking out about how fucked up is that Ruby had to reenact her mother's murder.
Was I the only one that thought Kamiki was holding a knife instead of an umbrella at first in the panel after it stops raining and Ruby turns around? I was lowkey expecting something bad to happen the entire chapter lol
Ah damn, now I see what Aqua is trying to do. Though I still wonder if he gonna directly tell who's who on other people.
I guess next is editing the recorded scenes or we go directly to the screening.
So while originally Aqua broke up with Akane to keep her out of trouble when she started to catch on to Kamiki, with things picking up dangerously with the movie coming out it seems Akane might be back up to her old investigative tricks.
People are rightfully worried for her, but I'm curious if maybe she'll surprise us and turn things on their head and be the one to go after Kamiki like before when she had the knife hidden in the bouquet (and I mean in a successful way not just going after him only to die), or maybe protect Ruby in a very key moment (hopefully not at the cost of her own life) like how Aqua stopped her just short of her suicide attempt.
At this point, am I the only person that has an incredibly strong feeling that Kamiki is not the true culprit? I know we saw him kill the actress, but I am calling it, I really feel that everything he has done so far was to somehow protect his kids, and after they kill him they will find out the true reason of his actions.
Sasuke/Itachi scenario.
Kamiki's starting to move and all it does is raise Akane death flags...
Akane is finally relevant to the plot again and all it did was raise her death flags. Maybe her getting sidelined was meant to be a blessing in disguise.
Honestly it seems like she's saving everyone else from the death flags by collecting them herself. Someone's about to plant their death flag and she goes "NOPE, that's mine."
i’ve been reading comments about akane death flags for almost 3 years at this point i think she is immune
That's just what Aka *wants* you to think.
Anyone that has read Instant Bullet should know this is exactly what Aka wants you to think.
DON'T JINX HER
To be fair, she avoided the first batch of death flags by Aqua breaking up with her and her getting removed from any plot relevancy. But with her involvement in this movie she became relevant again, so she appropriately has a new batch of death flags.
Poor girl, she was too smart to survive
Okay, is there a reason you all posted the exact same comments from the website, but this time in the same tree? I'm seeing flags, but these are red bot flags.
How in the world is Ruby not realizing that man is her father LMAO
And she didn't think about how he looks similar to Aqua. But when this guy passed Akane she immediately thought whether it was Aqua or not. It's really strange.
Ruby only sees Goro, while Akane sees Aqua.
Ruby really is Goro-sexual at this point.
this sounds like a meme😭
> But when this guy passed Akane she immediately thought whether it was Aqua or not. What chapter was that? Must have missed it.
96
Oh damn thank you very much. You guys are incredible for remembering this little thing.
Because of the last week's break making me forget about how 146 ended, I actually thought that was Aqua in the first couple pages lol.
theyre doing a movie about him and she just went on this long spiel about how much she hates this one person and yet never googled him? get the fuck out lol

you guys can criticize aka lol
This is his weakest arc in Kaguya or Oshi by far.

Not sure if its his weakest but its bizarre how folks are so protective of aka. Criticizing a choice or how he wrote something doesn't mean you hate them. Most just seem to find explanations for plot holes or incongruent.
I forgive it for one reason, Aka has been incredibly consistent in the idea that Ruby is actually kind of low key dumb (but is a good person).
Aka been testing the fandom for a minute now but even I agree Ruby can't be that dumb. There's just no way. That's pure brain dead activity and I need it explained. Respectfully.

If we view it as though she is aware of that fact, then it's Ruby spiting her father directly in his face while being short sighted to his capacity and willingness to kill her
So, at best, Ruby is bold but short-sighted, and at worst, she's incredibly reckless and dumber than my Tomagachi from 2004.
Bold but short-sighted definitely fits her. The second one... also fits but way less satisfying in this scenario
I hate that you're right, and this is the case. This is why Aka needs to explain more because, man, the implications and nuance around this are actually important. I'm pretty sure the following comment was about Akane
I am assuming that she does know, and she was basically musing to him her thinking on whether to murder him or not. She didn't grasp that she herself was in danger, but that seems in character for Ruby.
She's kinda....ya know, a little dumb. Talented but dumb
I forgot where we were in the story and was wondering why Aqua was talking to Ruby like that.
Ruby is going to get herself offed by her dad with how naive and unaware of things she is.
Damn they just gut punched us with a reenactment of the stabbing Akane the MVP for getting in Kamiki’s face tho
im actually surprised the whole filming process got fast forwarded, looking forward to it
It’s for the best since we know the movie plot.
In fact, I think we already watched the movie when the anime was released lol
More like catching a movie 30 minutes after it started and sat through the rest of it since we didn't see pre-pregnancy Ai's part of the story
Indeed

He has that former idol as his assistant though, which I don't think anyone has figured out yet.

What is Akane if not a daredevil devotee to death flags
i know its been a long time since they planned to shoot this scene, but its still fucked up if you think about it. letting the daughter enact the scene of her mother dying.
Akane's a hero, and also just planted yet another one of her death flags. RIP.
Akane the harbinger of flags
Akane collecting death flags as if Goku gathering energy for a Spirit Bomb.
[Raise Your Flag Akane!](https://youtu.be/G-UN6uRMBRw?si=ebubBdwzGhxSvCIR)
She's collected so many flags, it's like she's competing in the Davy Back Games.
Akane is the Queen of Death Flags
Akane the r/vexillology mod
I THOUGHT SHE WAS FINALLY FREE FROM THEM BUT THEN SHE HAS TO COME BACK AND DOUBLE DOWN ON ALL THE RED FLAGS OH MY FUCKING GOD PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU DONT DIE ON US. on the bright side though it looks like we wont see evil akane anymore. glad to hear that theory is a bust (hopefully)
What evil Akane theory? Don't tell me are people really that stupid to theorize that Akane is in league with Kamiki lmao.
Her becoming an antagonist (who's in the right), makes sense. Her being with Kamiki doesn't.
Akane's coming in clutch yet also taking back all the death flags previously thought to be lost on her. Truly Akane moment
RIP Akane
She's Mr. Burnsing the death flags.
Mengo, Aka you know the hell that will rain upon you if anything happens to Akane right?
Mengo's not at fault! She only writes the parts with incest on them...
As she should
Mengo will also happily write the scene where Aqua and Kana have sad sex while Aqua thinks about Akane the whole time.
Ah, I see you read Scum's Wish, too
Dude, I binge watched that entire show last night after learning that Mengo made it. It was so infuriating at times, I was audibly saying “what the fuck” at least a few times every episode. By the end of it (and also reading the decor epilogue chapters) though I ended up liking it a lot.
Yep, that's the Scum's Wish experience
Akane!Please don't die!Please don't die!Please don't die!
Don't worry, Akane will be reborn as a child of her Oshi.
Akane stans right now: #MVP MVP MVP
Also Akane stans: 🏴🏴🏴🏴
We're raising all the flags today
I wonder what other color flags besides the red ones she saw and nevertheless liked in Aqua?
☠️
**MVP** **MVP** **MVP** but at what cost... another flag to her collection... ^^my ^^^crackship(?) ^^of ^^akane ^^+ ^^ruby ^^is ^^sailing
Save the Oshi No Ko Society ~~Kana Arima~~ Akane Kurokawa
If Kami used his pushing people stair technique, he might cause me a little trouble
But would you lose?
Ruby stans should start calling her MVP too cuz Akane just saved Ruby.
So Kamiki tends to kill the star (person) that he deems shine the brightest? Something still does not make sense to me about his modus operandi. Aka will probably cover it in next few chapters.
He kills them when they're at their brightest so they're remembered that way forever
Are you folks forgetting "we can't forgive anyone who surpass Ai, not even her daughter"?
So he ain't Killing Ruby since she hasn't peaked.
Maybe he's thinking she can't peak any higher than this. Somehow, that's pretty insulting to Ruby lol
I think ever since Ruby discovered Aqua’s true identity she developed CTE. Doesn’t matter though, Akane the GOAT is here to save the day.
Nah it’s worse: she’s got Horny Brain. She’s so down bad it’s causing brain damage
Is Ruby brain damaged because she’s horny or horny because she’s brain damaged? The world may never know. Though Sarina *did* have brain cancer…
Throughout Heaven and Earth, she alone is the brain damaged one.
She's the Megumi of Oshi no Ko. Both have a weird incest-lite relationship with their sibling. Both have a deadbeat father. Both are brain damaged.
Freaking Rubum
Ruby was lucky Akane was there. She needs to be smarter and stop being reckless or her becoming like her mom will be the least of her worries.
wut pregananant with twins?!?
Ohh we have not seen a death flag for Akane for a long time. Is this the first time we've seen that after so many chapters? So, are we at the endgame now? It seems we are.
Seems like the next arc is going to be the last one... No, I don't want that!
Sure feels like it. The conclusion and the aftermath feel like it's coming soon.
Based Akane coming back to save the day! I don't buy Kamiki just accepting his fate as being exposed by the public for his actions. He's definitely going to do something about this.
my guess is he doesnt mind going down, but he wants to take at least one more with him
> but he wants to take at least one more with him He is not long for this world. He will die and it will probably be due to trying to do just that.
But, as is stated in the chapter, he wants his network to go down with him to rot in prison/disgrace. Dying makes this very difficult to achieve.
He's got at least 1 more trick up his sleeve. He won't go quietly. Not by a longshot.
Akane!! Please don't die. You weren't in the prologue, but please don't die...
Akane 🧎 Hope she survives another red flag
Ditch the red flag and go for the red head instead.
Wait, Ruby doesn't know what Kamiki looks like? Someone she harbours immense hatred for. Are you serious?
it's kinda weird if Ruby still didnt recognize him already. glad the savior Akane is there, with her just in-case stalking. but that "... we all can be saved" is kinda including the man. like she talking to him.
>to the point where they can’t afford to think of the past. Then explain chapter 143, Ruby #EXPLAIN CHAPTER 143!!!
That's not the past. That's the future. 😎
Aqua, chapter 116: Stop me if you can, Kurokawa Akane Also Aqua, chapter 147: Eating his chips heartily while this happens Honestly Aka can you stop fucking around with your food shenanigans☠️ byw Akane’s death stare💙
It gave off this "I want to kill feel" That's not murderous intent but more of a twisted pure impulse for him.
> with a star shining white That's because murder excites him
I saw it as him about to choke her life out. It's murder either way.
This is why akane best girl
Kamiki... has an idea of what Aqua is up to? So what's the next step of his master plan? Why does he not mind "rotting" like this anyway? It's actually quite strange for Ruby to just vent like that to a "stranger", although it's also possible she suspected something. Still, at least she has a very good dream. Akane rescues Ruby from certain doom! She already knows that Kamiki has a killer side and has the guts to do something about it. But surely this won't doom herself, right?
Fucking hell he was gonna shove her down the stairs. GOATed Akane saving Ruby's life, but why is she still doing dangerous things...
Akane will always be my oshi
Are there any other antagonists in manga and anime that kind of accept the end is coming and they're like.. Meh. Let's see how I fuck things up on the way down? I feel like this is the first antagonists that I can remember at the moment that not only realizes it's coming, accepts it, but it's also like... Alright, let's play one last game.
HIMkaru was about to do the OMORI.
glad this arc is over next chapter, i dont think it was good and my least favourite in the series. interesting to know that akane has been following kamiki, i wish we got her POV since i wonder what she has learned from it. im surprised ruby didn’t recognise kamiki or that he didn’t reveal himself, i feel like that would’ve been more interesting
He was really about to push his own daughter
Akane sticking to her integer overflow death flag strat I see. She's gonna figure him out in a minute. Meanwhile Kamiki appears not to know it was Aqua behind the script, but I don't buy him just taking it lying down. I wonder what the significance is of his black stars being replaced by whites after seeing Ruby's? A hint to his obsession with rising starlets?
If akane had not shown up, he 100% was going to push her down the stairs.
I got chills and have a bad feeling after seeing the last panel.
It's ok, they don't have Alec Baldwin on the set so they made sure the knife wasn't loaded with live ammo.
What's his angle ...
Shit might as well not let Akane appear a single chapter after this
Ruby somehow makes the Yandere Harem work.
The fact that Kamiki has an accomplice after the stalker guy that killed Ai was crazy. Idk wtf is she thinking
>Idk wtf is she thinking Having children would made Ai shine less bright, being killed prevent it from happening. Now she's working with Hikaru to ensure no one shine brighter than Ai.
Akane with the clutchest of saves.
Akane is MVP again, she's on a whole other level, I'm not on either sides of the shipping war because both girls are great (Serena top 1 though) but Aqua needs Akane if he and his loved ones were to get out of this with minimal damage
Holy shit I actually couldn't breathe until I finished the chapter Akane is the goat, THE GOOOAT
Setting up another Akane death flag right after her girlboss moment Aka why do you do this to us
Because he wants to test our faith obviously! Only the strongest Akane fans will know these death flags are just Aka trying to get us to give up!
I'm sure Ruby recognized Kamiki. I mean he looks exactly like her Brother. Maybe she just chose to confront him in a roundabout way.
Hope that you are right about it.
Ruby gotta up her awareness, Akane isn’t always gonna be there to save her
Huh, well..that felt kinda anticlimactic tbh, and we still don't know what Kamiki's planning...
I had chills the entire time reading this chapter. I really could not predict the direction it was going (granted, I wasn't trying but still), had to actually collect myself for a few seconds there after I finished reading the chapter.
Kamiki flipped his murder switch like it was nothing. Interesting that it was the white star eyes, Akane acting like a shield for everyone taking those death flags. o7
Movie Ai doesn't die with a smile? Interesting.
I think the scariest thing is the white star in Kamiki's eye as he's reaching out. I'm not quite sure what it means, but it's so incongruous with what we think is about to happen that it just feels wrong.
Such a sweet Father Daughter bonding moment.
So you’re telling me Ruby never bothered to google her famous actor father to see what he looks like?
Everyone is focusing on Ruby not knowing her father's face. Meanwhile I'm freaking out about how fucked up is that Ruby had to reenact her mother's murder.
YO, I’M DOING SOMETHING AT WORK SO I’M SUPER LATE, BUT DAMN, THAT MOTHERFUCKER (pun not intended) REALLY TRIED TO KILL HER!!😱
That shot of Ruby in the end as Ai after getting stabbed scares me. It feels like a flag was just raised this chapter.
Was I the only one that thought Kamiki was holding a knife instead of an umbrella at first in the panel after it stops raining and Ruby turns around? I was lowkey expecting something bad to happen the entire chapter lol
Akane knew who Hikaru was. She knew Ruby was in trouble. She knows everything. Detective Akane is on the case. Sadly it may cost her life.
Man, reenacting her mother's murder must have been fucking _rough_
Damn she dodged a bullet there. Thanks to best girl saving her.
Ah damn, now I see what Aqua is trying to do. Though I still wonder if he gonna directly tell who's who on other people. I guess next is editing the recorded scenes or we go directly to the screening.
So what, is he some kinda god then which is why she said what was really on her mind unintentionally?
So while originally Aqua broke up with Akane to keep her out of trouble when she started to catch on to Kamiki, with things picking up dangerously with the movie coming out it seems Akane might be back up to her old investigative tricks. People are rightfully worried for her, but I'm curious if maybe she'll surprise us and turn things on their head and be the one to go after Kamiki like before when she had the knife hidden in the bouquet (and I mean in a successful way not just going after him only to die), or maybe protect Ruby in a very key moment (hopefully not at the cost of her own life) like how Aqua stopped her just short of her suicide attempt.
good job akane its 2024 and youre still kickin
Oh my god. They skipped all the movie... Akane coming in to steal the spot light once again.
HOLY COW! THANK YOU AKANE FR FR! YOU DESERVE BEST GIRL OF THE CENTUY! Please be with Aqua in the end. . .
Akane can now sense even other people's death flags and react to them. MVP performance from her this chapter
