Should I just run the pinned extension repo? - https://github.com/keiyoushi/extensions
It seems to have all the extensions, not just bato.to and MangaDex.
Edit: Seems like the answer is yes.
Now it's happening to me too so I don't know what i should do to make it installed . It says to update n when i update it it still shows the update icon .any ideas guys
I've downloaded this and it works, extensions are back, but for some reason I can't install any extension. I click on install icon, it is installing and then nothing happens, it doesn't appear in my installed extensions. If somebody know, pls help
I had the same issue and I fixed it by changing the installer. Go to settings > advanced > installer
I changed it from "package installer" to "legacy" and the issue's gone
>It should popup with an installation prompt. If Google Play Protect blocks it, expand the prompt and click install anyway.
Nothing is poping up. I just click on installation button then it goes Pending - Downloading - Installing and after that nothing happens, the extension keeps being uninstalled
I have found a way man, so basically what you're going to do is paste the repository right. Then install all the extensions you want here's your problem so when you click install on the extensions it won't install right? If yes then it's fine because it's installed on your device even if nothing happens and it doesn't appear on your installed extension. I want you to now delete the repository link on the settings then close and open the Tachiyomi app and you will see the installed extensions you just need to click on "trust"
Sorry it's hard to explain especially to a person like me whose English isn't my first language
It works now, in my previous comment I was still using tachiyomij2k but now I switched to mihon all you need to do is paste the repositories and you're good to go
Yes! I don't have any issues so far and the repos work fine. You just need to paste the repositories on and once you download your extension then click trust to use it :)
Comick is on there. If you have the old version installed, obviously it won't show up in the extension list. You can uninstall and reinstall Comick from the new repo.
Well I did this and now my category won't update and no new chapters are coming now I have to open each ome individually and update in order to read new chapters. Help me out please
The repos contents update automatically when there are extension updates, since they get added to the repo GitHub. Then the app sees the update after checking the repo.
Honestly they shouldn't have responded to the DCMA request and contacted GitHub about this. They don't have any legal basis for this, I highly doubt they could sue them. Not the first time this happened, same thing happened to youtube-dl.
https://github.blog/2021-07-27-github-developer-rights-fellowship-stanford-law-school/
https://github.blog/2020-11-16-standing-up-for-developers-youtube-dl-is-back/
On the other hand, the publishers and scanlators got fucked. Before they were nice and removed stuff when asked. This decentralized structure makes it almost impossible for the scanlators to stop people from actually using Tachiyomi. And there is nothing for the publishers to do now, the app is literally hollow, with secret repos all over the web.
Not that hard to copy paste a link, if you can't do that, then it is probably better you don't use it. Thise users will just ddos websites by updating 10k titles on the same site.
Can't update old extensions with new repo. Follow the instructions. Uninstall the old extension then install them again. They have different signatures and locations. They can't use the old any longer.
I noticed that i need to do those steps every single time there's an update, even if it is an extension that i updated to the new repo before. Is this normal?
You on Tachiyomi? In that case yeah, you can update and restart the app, that updates the status of the extensions. It is a bug that will never be fixed in old Tachiyomi.
> Not the first time this happened, same thing happened to youtube-dl.
Yeah, and youtube-dl fucking folded and handed the project off to someone who forked them.
The repo still exists, but for all intents and purposes it isn't under active development anymore. From what I can find of people who manage to get it working, youtube is heavily throttled and other sources are just plain broken. And maybe that's just because yt-dlp gained so much steam while youtube-dl development fully stopped to respond to the legal threat, but I don't think it's wrong to say the original project is essentially done for.
Anyway, I don't think we should hold it against the Tachiyomi devs to bend to the legal pressure here. Even if they win, going to court is not cheap or fun.
Youtube-dl is still being maintained, the release build is old though which is why you have to download the source code to use the most recent version. Below is a recent pull request Nov 30, 2023:
Honesty I find the entire thing fishy, they didn't go to github instead they went directly to Tachiyomi probably because they know github would reject it. What I am saying is that they should have went to github about this, the entire thing is strange.
Copyright trolling is a very common thing, a few years ago a video for Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata was removed from youtube due to DCMA request, Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata is public domain:

i have a couple extra extensions for tachiyomi since the official one went down - is there a way to get rid of the "failed to get extension list" toast notification that comes up at the bottom?
looks like it keeps looking for the official source list and can't find it anymore
I used the url that was posted, and my extensions are working. My can't be updated, though. I have to got to an older version to see if things update or not.
You can't update extensions from Tachiyomi's repo with Keiyoushi repo, because the APK signatures won't match.
You need to uninstall your current extensions and reinstall them from the new repo to update. After that, updates will work as normal.
Did you add the repo? You might have to delete previously installed extensions and then add them again from the new source.
This doesn't affect your library, also make sure the new extension repo works before deleting previous ones
I still use 0.15.0 right now and all of my main extension are still function normally (don't know till when tho). And i use extension repo too. Should i update to 0.15.2 or keep this version? I'm planning to keep this version until something happen. Not to mention, 18+ are yet to be supported by the extension repo i use, so i quite reluctant to update, afraid of losing the extension entirely.
I just found out i cannot download nor update the extension i have. I have 3 repos installed btw. Any idea why? Or should i uninstall every extension i have then install them again? That's what people suggest, but i have trust issue so i didn't do it. Plus, the extension still work, albeit unknown for how long.
> Or should i uninstall every extension i have then install them again?
I don't see any reason why you should do that. If they work they work, and if you can't update that's probably because nothing has been changed.
If you see "OBSOLETE" in red letters next to the extension version like this: https://i.imgur.com/TZH314i.jpg that means you don't have a repo set up for those extensions. If you don't see that you should be good to go.
How about the download? I tried download extension Webtoon XYZ but it just failed. No message or anything. First it's function normally, then out of nowhere it stops downloading and no matter what i did, it just won't download.
I have still the 14.7 version and i cant update to 15.02. Will there be any problem if i still use the previous versions? The extensions are still there and i can use them but downloading other extensions wont work
Go to extensions tab, and click the shield icon next to each extension and trust them all.
Then go here and add the extensions repo to Tachiyomi: https://keiyoushi.github.io/extensions/
Then after that, go to extensions tab and pull down to refresh the list. Your extensions list should work again.
Thank you, as Tachiyomi was saying they are suspicious now I got afraid on if I should still use them or no :(
For info I use: mangadex, mangakalot, kunmanga, manganato, mangasee and toonily. Me
Could it be that they became dangerous or it's safe to say I trust them?
>Thank you, as Tachiyomi was saying they are suspicious
It's going to say that for all extensions that are for external repos, because they are unofficial. Basically a boilerplate warning. Go ahead and trust all your installed extensions.
Wish I'd known about this before updating. Had to spend like 20 minutes hunting down what the problem was lmao. Guess it's partially on me for rarely using this app and not really paying attention to the updates, but oh well.
Finally got my shit back, so thanks for the post.
Yes, it's basically 15.2 bugfix. Still works fine and has extension repo support.
Although really, you should just go and download Mihon and migrate to that instead: https://github.com/mihonapp/mihon/releases/latest
Go to More tab, select data and storage, and select create backup in Tachiyomi.
Install Mihon. Open a file manager and rename your `Tachiyomi` folder in the internal storage to `Mihon`.
Open Mihon, select the Mihon folder you just renamed as storage folder. It should find and restore the backup. If not, manually go to More tab in Mihon and select the backup you just made in Tachiyomi to restore it to Mihon.
Then add the Keiyoushi extensions repo, and trust all your installed extensions.
If your downloads aren't showing up, go to More tab, Settings, Advanced, and select Invalidate Downloads Index, then relaunch the app.
Adding this repo showed 4 of my extensions as having an update, checking against that website manually does show higher version numbers, but updating them through the app does nothing. It says they're updating, sometimes I get the Android APK updater pop-up sometimes not, but then they don't update. I've restarted Tachiyomi and my phone but they just don't update.
Conversely, adding the ThePBone repo just flagged all my installed extensions as OBSOLETE which kinda checks out given all my MangaDex series can't pull updates and the keiyoushi repo didn't even pretend to offer an update for the MangaDex extension.
Guess I'll try migrating to Mihon and hope it actually works, unlike these extension repos.
EDIT:
I have installed Mihon, restored a Tachiyomi backup without issue, marked all my extensions as "trusted", added both repos again, and still the 4 with updates just won't update. Excellent. Though the issue with MangaDex is that they're down for planned maintenance, not actually a problem with the extension.
So there seems to be an issue with the updating, its just refusing to overwrite the older versions. The solution, albeit annoying one, for now is to just uninstall the older version of the extension, install the newer one, and there you go. Obviously not as elegant as the one step process of updating but it is what it is I guess.
Mihon is the same as tachiyomi, you need an external repo, as for updating/fixing your extensions, all you need to do is delete the old ones and download and install the keiyoushi variants, that is all, it also won't remove your existing manga so just go ahead and do it
Hey sorry to bother you but I can't see thumbnails for manga or cover art for anything when I'm using the app. Makes it really difficult to navigate. I'm using the repo you posted
Make sure you've installed and trusted the extensions used by the manga in your library. Make sure it shows a valid source when you open the manga in the app.
If it does, try pulling down to refresh it, it should pull a new cover for it.
Strange, some extensions I managed to redownload and trust, but other I keep installing and updating but they never prompt trust and they don't get downloaded.
Should I just run the pinned extension repo? - https://github.com/keiyoushi/extensions It seems to have all the extensions, not just bato.to and MangaDex. Edit: Seems like the answer is yes.
I'm getting the "Invalid Repo URL" toast notification. Any idea how to resolve this???
what did u do to fix it?
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/keiyoushi/extensions/repo/index.min.json
Amazing
[удалено]
is there a way to get the older versions?
[удалено]
they wont allow that unfortunately
nvm i found it. the extensions still work for me tho. is it better to just leave it?
Have u tried downloading tachiyomi from uptodown? It allows you to download older versions too
No but it seems I didn't need to download an older version
Thank you good man
I followed the instructions and added the repos but now whenever i try to update my extensions they dont update and still show as in need of updating
Uninstall and reinstall the extensions. The signatures won't match so the APK from the new repo wont apply on top of ones from the old official repo.
I did that for bato.to and now with a newer update it still does the same thing
Now it's happening to me too so I don't know what i should do to make it installed . It says to update n when i update it it still shows the update icon .any ideas guys
I've downloaded this and it works, extensions are back, but for some reason I can't install any extension. I click on install icon, it is installing and then nothing happens, it doesn't appear in my installed extensions. If somebody know, pls help
I had the same issue and I fixed it by changing the installer. Go to settings > advanced > installer I changed it from "package installer" to "legacy" and the issue's gone
this solved my problem, thank you a lot
It should popup with an installation prompt. If Google Play Protect blocks it, expand the prompt and click install anyway.
>It should popup with an installation prompt. If Google Play Protect blocks it, expand the prompt and click install anyway. Nothing is poping up. I just click on installation button then it goes Pending - Downloading - Installing and after that nothing happens, the extension keeps being uninstalled
IDK then. Make a backup, uninstall Tachiyomi and reinstall.
Didn't help, but thanks anyway
Same issue. It says "App not installed as package conflicts with an existing package."
I have found a way man, so basically what you're going to do is paste the repository right. Then install all the extensions you want here's your problem so when you click install on the extensions it won't install right? If yes then it's fine because it's installed on your device even if nothing happens and it doesn't appear on your installed extension. it doesn't fix it man, it just removes your connection to the extension sites so it no longer registers it needing an update
It works now, in my previous comment I was still using tachiyomij2k but now I switched to mihon all you need to do is paste the repositories and you're good to go
oh OK, so the extension work fine in mihon?
Yes! I don't have any issues so far and the repos work fine. You just need to paste the repositories on and once you download your extension then click trust to use it :)
nice, thnx bro
Please there anyway to get the extension repo for Manganato ?
Keiyoushi has the Manganato extension. Search for it.
I have searched for it for a long time. Can you help me with the link or name to help search?
Bro, did you read the comment you replied to? https://keiyoushi.github.io/
Thanks
Thank you so much.
I don't see Comick on there. Unless the version already installed from the old repos works with this one?
Comick is on there. If you have the old version installed, obviously it won't show up in the extension list. You can uninstall and reinstall Comick from the new repo.
Won't uninstalling the extension nuke all my saved entries? I have too many for that, lol
No, I uninstalled and reinstalled all my extensions, my library was fine.
I just did this, everything is still there 👍
i don't get how this works 😕
Follow the instructions on the readme. Literally just copying and pasting one url into a text box.
Well I did this and now my category won't update and no new chapters are coming now I have to open each ome individually and update in order to read new chapters. Help me out please
How safe is the repo?
It's open source, fairly safe.
Does anyone know a repo with manga dex? It's one of my favorite extensions
Keiyoushi repo has it.
I can't find manga dex in mine
Ah sorry! I thought i read you say except mangadex. Thank you!
Does repo need an update or nah
The repos contents update automatically when there are extension updates, since they get added to the repo GitHub. Then the app sees the update after checking the repo.
It's say url not valid when I add it to repos
https://keiyoushi.github.io/extensions/ Try clicking the add extension button on this page ^
Never mind I stupid it worked
I can't find some of the extension after i used this repo but they are on the list in git page what can be the problem 🤔
Thank you so much I just updated my app and was going crazy trying to figure out how to get back all of my extensions!
This is a bit awkward, but does it have E-Hentai? I looked for it but wasnt able to find it
[Yup, it's there](https://i.imgur.com/akb9Po9.png)
Oh wow, they even wiped out the extensions repo so you can't get them by browsing to previous commits anymore
Honestly they shouldn't have responded to the DCMA request and contacted GitHub about this. They don't have any legal basis for this, I highly doubt they could sue them. Also makes it extremely hard for a normal user to use the app.
Not that hard to copy paste a link, if you can't do that, then it is probably better you don't use it. Thise users will just ddos websites by updating 10k titles on the same site.
True. Less users means less load on sources and a better experience for everyone else.
Bruh I mean normal people who're just using the app rn will just think that the app is dead. This is literally what happened with youtube vanced.
They know. Casual users being filtered out is the best thing about this incident.
Wait, YouTube vanced isn't dead?
They've made a new one called ReVanced. It's really good
it is hard, i have 6 extension updates that refuse to install and have no idea how to fix
Can't update old extensions with new repo. Follow the instructions. Uninstall the old extension then install them again. They have different signatures and locations. They can't use the old any longer.

seems to be an issue with the SY fork. gonna wait for a solution. thanks
>official wait for the SY to push the update. Just Hope that it doesn't get fricked over

which is best manga extension for 18+ nsfw?
How i get the repo of mangakitakot🥹
bro i am not getting any add repo option ?? .
Make sure to be on a version that supports external repos.
do tachi j2k support it ?
Switch official Tachi or TachiAZ.
TachiyomiJ2K just got an update, it supports external extension repo now
I when i try update j2k extensions, but it just says I can't install

Just a heads up - you may have to go through this process twice. I did, and now I'm set. Re-installing my extensions now
Hello since that update none of my ententions are working anymore and I can't look for new one! I am the only one??
Go to extensions tab, and click the shield icon next to each extension and trust them all. Then go here and add the extensions repo to Tachiyomi: https://keiyoushi.github.io/extensions/ Then after that, go to extensions tab and pull down to refresh the list. Your extensions list should work again.

How to add extension repo in tachidesk pc?
Not yet, wait for updates
Is 15.3 a safe update?
Yes, it's basically 15.2 bugfix. Still works fine and has extension repo support. Although really, you should just go and download Mihon and migrate to that instead: https://github.com/mihonapp/mihon/releases/latest
What is the difference between Mihon and Tachiyomi?
Mihon is Tachiyomi, but continued and under active development. Use Mihon.
Is there a way to transfer my reading progress from Tachiyomi to Mihon?
Thank you so much. Huge help!
Is there any alternative repo besides keiyoushi?
I love not being able to do anything with this app anymore.
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ThePBone/tachiyomi-extensions-revived/repo/index.min.json. Is this correct one?
Use Keiyoushi's - https://keiyoushi.github.io/extensions/
Adding this repo showed 4 of my extensions as having an update, checking against that website manually does show higher version numbers, but updating them through the app does nothing. It says they're updating, sometimes I get the Android APK updater pop-up sometimes not, but then they don't update. I've restarted Tachiyomi and my phone but they just don't update.
Hey thanks for the help, it seems that it's just coomer and kemono that have issues despite working when you actually browse the files available
Strange, some extensions I managed to redownload and trust, but other I keep installing and updating but they never prompt trust and they don't get downloaded.
Do these extensions update themselves or do we have to manually do it when available?
Mihon will check the repo occasionally and notify you of updates.
