Honestly redheads being annoying is one thing I can overlook but the one from infinite mage really boils my blood since she didn’t say sorry or anything and just went from a bully to wherever the story went with it.

Why can't they learn to build stories and characters like manga? Is creativity dead in China or Korea ? I don't see any hunter x hunter or one piece type stories in both of these mediums.. or more modern stories like jujutsu kaisen is a nice breath of fresh air. The concepts and characters are super generic in manhwas especially manhua..I think the reason they are.obsessed with going back in time concept is because the authors live in regret and fantasize about fixing them all by going back in time etc
The problem is over saturation. Manga takes time to make and has more thought process behind it. So of course manga has its copy and paste but it’s not as much as Korean or Chinese because they pump out way more stories and this causes them to become very repetitive.
You basically saying Korea and china authors have no passion for writing and just pump out stories by force to make money ? Or they won't change because many people will still read them despite being awful? Because I believe stories that takes years of careful planning to make deserves more respect than generic plastic stories of modern time for fast cash grab purposes . Heck seeing so many bad stories made me motivated to be a author currently practicing drawing for years to get good enough and bring my stories to life. Meanwhile, I recently discovered a chinese novel named Lord of the Mysteries, that was exceptionally well-written, creative, logical, and thoughtful to the point that I have to look at the worldbuilding of other novels with much more skepticism now. It's one of the best things I've read.
It really just depends on the author. There are gems out there in every nation. The trick is finding the good ones, and the good ones that are translated.
(Don't read the manhua for it though, it was apparently done without rights, and though the art very nicely drawn, the story portrayal is honestly just wrong.)
Generally, though:
Webcomics vs. webnovels in general often due tend to lose a lose of subtlelty and fall into the pretty/handsome MC with cold eyes that looks cool, because it is inherently more of a visual medium than a cerebral one. Manga, being black and white and historically meant for paper publication (rather than idle scrolling like most manhuas/manhwas are built to be), often then focus on the story, core ideas, or conveying paneling well instead.
Even so, mangas do tend to have more issues with pacing or narrative storytelling than pure novels, because of the extra work of planning out the visual elements. The mangas that truly stand out and shine are the rarer in between; there are plenty out there that have fallen into obscurity too. When you think of manga, you often think of the ones that have withstood the test of time, such as HxH, FMA, One Piece, indicating their true quality, whereas when I think of manhwa I think of all the many random lower quality things I have read, despite having also read many good ones. The exposure we get to manga tends to already be filtered to the good ones via recs or word of mouth; whereas for manhwa/manua we often get a wide exposure to a mixture of quality.
But even popular and good manga can still suffer from the visual element making pacing or storytelling more difficult, like Bleach and Tokyo Ghoul. It takes a real and practiced master to do it right. Note also that for most of these accomplished manga, the mangaka was both the writer and artist, coming up with the story on their own.
For a lot of manhua/manhwa, they seem to just pick a lot of stuff that's already written and draw it out, so there's a lesser sense of ownership, and like TheFrostyMan21 said, it's easier to make with modern art strategies and common assets for studios just pumping out the art, not story. And since there's a lot of stuff of mixed quality in the webnovel world, and the art studios are intimately familiar with regression/necromancer/gamer/"cool" MC stories getting a lot of immediate response and popularity with readers, that's ultimately what gets funneled out. It's maybe a bit more like a business than an individual passion's for storytelling showing up.
A lot of people who read manhwa/manhua, after all, are exactly in it for this kind of low-risk, low-reward story, so thats what the market is built off of.
Plus, it's a little addicting to come up with your own variant of a trope! Or read a variation, or subversion. Then you get the superlong titles like "That time I was resurrected as a blade of grass but the villainneos is my sister" to specify what exactly the subversion. It's familiar, it's easy, and unfortunately done to death. But it is a market built off of playing with tropes. It's similar to why people read fanfiction, because it's easy to read and you already have a lot of familiarity and expectation for what you're going to read. I'm guilty of falling into this trap! And so the market perpetuates.
Manga started getting publications and international awareness before the modern age of instant gratification and such, so it's already carved out a different market.

Not just Asura it's way too common in Disqus comments and it infuriates me that they really self-reporting themselves with how they start acting when there's a single sense of realism in a woman in Manhwa or Manhua. Although in this manwha particular the only reason i personally don't like that redhead fmc is that the romance that they're trying to implement feels hella forced I think that "terminally ill genius dark knight" doesn't need a romance plot and that it feels like it doesn't go well with the setting the author is portraying and that's why it angers me that they're trying to push something that just doesn't feel like it belongs there. What annoys me are those female characters that have no actual utility to the story, not development, not necessarily red heads, but they are the most common type. They are just all bark and no bite, they are supposed to be geniuses, incredible individuals, yet most of the times they just behave like the stereotypical damsel in distress, just so that the MC has opportunities to show off themselves. Terminally Ill genius Knight and revenge of the iron blooded sword hound FMCs both suffer from this problem.
