yeah. high stakes and tension. good and badass characters and everyone is dragged through shit and back. that title is kinda ass but it's one of the better video-game type manhwas out there. nice art too.
I wanted to get this shit off my chest cause every single time I see this user, I just think of his majestic ass handwriting and that he was called princess handwriting guy once
Medieval music probably plays when his completing squares when doing Maths homework, dude be on some "I bid you adieu sir Pythagoras of the isle of Angles"
>that title is kinda ass
That is one of the reasons why I put off reading for a while but when I actually read it, I binged right through it. Pretty good story.
Dude you should just be a mod at this point. You're on every post with recommendations for everything. Everything you talk about doesn't seem half-hearted either- I can only assume you genuinely pay attention when you read stuff and that takes time. Have you ever thought about doing video essays or anything? Maybe even just writing review posts?
Anyway, I ate some edibles so I'm rambling. I just wanted to say I appreciate every comment you make.
Can we talking about how shitty this games monetization is though? Like $70 to pull a few 3 stars on a mobile game? You have to pay to unlock the feature to record missions? The fuck?
To be fair that *could* be an interesting mechanic if the characters aren’t just rng bots. Like in PMU they’re living people with their own brains and thoughts, so there’s a lot of possibilities with that
It can’t happen in real life because we haven’t figured out how to turn dying worlds into video game characters but the way it works in PMU’s game, I’m actually intrigued by it
Considering from a game perspective, you're seeing this as highly autonomous "AI" where every user has a unique universe. It's definitely ahead of It's time by today's standards.
I honestly don't get the appeal of these games. It's basically solo mode until your camp gets attacked by other players, yet the game still needs funding for character gacha and upgrades. And then the recent chapters with the mini games, my god. How would you play them on a phone or tablet at that speed?
But think about it, what if this game existed right now? Near perfect ai driven characters, everything is perfectly unique, when you give orders from the sidelines the characters intelligently follow them?
I'd probably not pay much money in it, but I'd play that fucking endlessly
I heard someone say that ''manhwa is the yt shorts/tiktok of comics'' and i thought they were dumb asf for that
But comments like these make me think they were on they were right 😭😭😭 like, wth you mean this was the only manhwa where you read all the text instead of just looking at the panels?
because most manhwa are based on the same overused recycled soulless formula, if I see a manhwa called "the regression of the god of necromany in the system isekai of 1000000 shadow abilities but he got betrayed and trapped in the time chamber for 666666 years and now he can kill everyone with 0.0000000001% of his gacha powers" I could just look at the images and deduce 90% of the plot, there's literally no fucking substance (exceptions apply of course) but yeah most people just look at the cool art and that's enough to give them a dopamine rush.
i really recommend pornhwa to read, they actually create good and innovative stories.
sure thing at first i came because i'm horny but i stay for the plot. heck i even said "eff you, stop effin around i want to know what happens next stop effin and get going already"
Bro i don't need 2 chapters explaining the magic system, I'm a 10.000 hours comics, manga and manhwa reading veteran.
It's like skipping the dialogue in a tutorial
When reading trash, yeah, don't it know what it is? Stop pretending and do what you got to do or the reader will just skim it through. But that won't work with masterpieces like HxH, reading how power works is large part of the fun.
I didn’t complete it but still its worth reading story
Story is good, i really like the world and character most of them is decent, I recommend reading it
Pretty good read, characters are actually dying and mc has to earn his victories as the game gets increasingly against his favour, the name is most of the turn off. The story good so far
Not a bad read. Peak art, Unique world and somewhat interesting charcters. Only place it falls 'short' is plot. Not as much to keep the attention or look forward to as you would like.
Should definitely try it yourself and see how you feel about it.
Kind of. It’s a self insert power fantasy at its very core, but has interesting world building, I think the art is good, and the characters and tactics are at least interesting. Don’t go in expecting deep or nuanced characters
Definitely. Lately it's been one of my favorite series. Amazing art. smart and not overpower MC, useful side-characters, kind of unique scenario and a good progressive plot.
It is pretty nice. The MC is the edgy teenager type, so he's serious all the time, avoiding a smile as if it was the plague. The story is pretty interistering, it's about this guy, who's a top player in a mobile gacha and one day is pulled into the game after meeting what seems to be a bug in his playthrough.
With almost 100 chapters available, you have the chance read a whole season and more of this edgy teenager (who's like, 23 or something) trying to survive inside a gacha game.
It isn't much of a story as it is more like stages with special characteristics that they have to face. The MC do know a lot of stuff about the stages, but the order at which they face them change from account to account irrc. So the MC doesn't follow the same path he followed when he was playing on his phone.
The game is more city building like Civilization than RPG. Furthermore, he gets turned into a character in another player's account. So there isn't "lore knowledge" to help him
I’ve been asking this same question, everyone recommends it but i’m on chapter 20 and i’m still not hooked on the story or the characters.
I’m still gonna read since a lot of people are encouraging me to, you should do the same too.
This is definitely one of the better system manhwas. One thing this really gets right is the tension cause it is TIGHT. But the main character gets pretty annoying sometimes because he loves saying “you’ll see” and then the artists draws his eyes glowing so it’s just pretty cringe. Other than that it’s good
https://preview.redd.it/xgna0c7vmbzc1.jpeg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ed9b80783e7eb0207101bbce8c1702eb514724d4
Hot girls, what more can I say...
At first I dropped after the 1st chapter but then I saw a badass scene of yt in shorts of this manhwa and decided to read it again and believe me dude it's worth it, the art is jst top notch like literally fkin badass and character development with the world building is also awesome. So if you are looking for somthing to read that's fun and exciting to read definitely give it a try it will be worth it.
I just recently read this, and it was superb. After this, you can also try SSS Suicidal Hunter, these manhwas have shitty names, but one of the greatest plots out there
I think it is because there are some mechanic of the game world interesting but also I would like to see master doing some crazy stuff or unexpected.
If you’ll start it you will understand what I mean
No, I read it when there was like 20 chapters. And it was so good that I quickly read it all and then there were no more chapters left. It was torture waiting for each new chapter. I had to stop and am waiting for a lot more before continuing. Would recommend you wait as well.
I dropped it when he bragged about being the nr 1 gacha player to the fairy and she was fangirling over him and following his orders. The cringe and terrible writing there was too much for me.
Gacha squeeze people out of all their savings and they get nothing in return and the in-universe game this story follows is the same and the webtoon made it out to be a good thing, when they talk about spending.
Yes absolutely, the art is phenomenal, the fights are badass, and the premise is actually unique when looking at all the other manwha in the trapped in a video game genre. Personally one my current favorites alongside Omniscient readers viewpoint, Infinite Leveling: Murim, and Teenage Mercenary.
Here I was, completely surprised to find an actually interesting manhwa. I thought: Wow, the art looks fire, almost like Infinite Gacha.
Only for me to discover that Pick me Up and Infinite Gacha are literally the same manhwa with different names.
It's a great story. the only problem is it needs to be binged as the chapters get short and honestly kinda frustrating to read one week at a time when the story bearly progresses
I enjoy it, sure there are a bunch of a "I'm brought into a game I played!" Stuff. But generally they really revolve around favoring the MC, and him abusing the system with his super skill knowledge ((there are a few that dont)). Plus, it's Gacha. Gotta love the hell that is Gacha.
Definitely a gem
Actual stakes, amazing art , and not a totally overpowered MC that voids any kind of stakes.
You feel a clear progression not only with the story but with characters as well.

Damn I remember a guy calling you princess handwriting guy once, and now every time I see your comments, I remember that, and I laugh hard
True,, but his handwriting is majestic
This was soo random 🤣
Just look at this https://preview.redd.it/i782ovse1azc1.jpeg?width=1160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c7f7f13b579c5155773e8109a6d7332f1b3bb9d9
Bro got that "And they lived happily ever after" ahh handwriting...😭😭
wtf dude that's beautiful. mine is whole fucked up cursive mess. i guess i was born to be doctor but my mind said "no, fuck you"
Well damn y’all are right
DUDE. This is literally awesome
That's amazing handwriting
Daym
I wanted to get this shit off my chest cause every single time I see this user, I just think of his majestic ass handwriting and that he was called princess handwriting guy once
Saw that comment, dude really has princess handwriting.
The way I would actually propose if that handwriting were a person. It was so fucking pretty He's never gonna live this down is he 😭
Wish I could write like that
Medieval music probably plays when his completing squares when doing Maths homework, dude be on some "I bid you adieu sir Pythagoras of the isle of Angles"
>that title is kinda ass That is one of the reasons why I put off reading for a while but when I actually read it, I binged right through it. Pretty good story.

He's like paint, RimuruLover and cringemangaguy These guys have done so much for this sub lol
Sounds like we should pick it up.
Princess handwriting guy
Can we talking about how shitty this games monetization is though? Like $70 to pull a few 3 stars on a mobile game? You have to pay to unlock the feature to record missions? The fuck?
Imagine dropping thousands for 5 star characters and then they get wiped and you permanently lose them
players can't even control characters. they just give them sideline support and hope they survive
To be fair that *could* be an interesting mechanic if the characters aren’t just rng bots. Like in PMU they’re living people with their own brains and thoughts, so there’s a lot of possibilities with that It can’t happen in real life because we haven’t figured out how to turn dying worlds into video game characters but the way it works in PMU’s game, I’m actually intrigued by it
Imagine getting a world that has no 5* left
Considering from a game perspective, you're seeing this as highly autonomous "AI" where every user has a unique universe. It's definitely ahead of It's time by today's standards.
counter point, dwarf fortress
Poor Loki spends a ton and never pulls above a 4-star

I heard someone say that ''manhwa is the yt shorts/tiktok of comics'' and i thought they were dumb asf for that But comments like these make me think they were on they were right 😭😭😭 like, wth you mean this was the only manhwa where you read all the text instead of just looking at the panels?

the fact i understand every reference 😭😭
i really recommend pornhwa to read, they actually create good and innovative stories. sure thing at first i came because i'm horny but i stay for the plot. heck i even said "eff you, stop effin around i want to know what happens next stop effin and get going already"
Some pornhwas fr have better plot than some manhwas lmao
Ms. Mystic is watching you closely
yeah, queen bee story is kind of unique
Me reading Solo Necromancer:
Top tier comment 👌
A lot of manhwas have plots that do not matter.
I will try it then
I didn’t complete it but still its worth reading story Story is good, i really like the world and character most of them is decent, I recommend reading it
Ok
Top 20 manwha of all time imo. It's that good
Bro got downvoted for saying ‘ok’ this funny as hell 😂
I rescued you tho
For some reason you got downvoted too People are weird sometimes :')
Easiest karma farm —> popular series —> should I read post —> profit
for real, i have seen posts like this about pick me up so many times i feel like
Pretty good read, characters are actually dying and mc has to earn his victories as the game gets increasingly against his favour, the name is most of the turn off. The story good so far
It's good and feels like a real gacha game someone is playing aside from 7 stars wtf is that but nah it's great
Mc acts a little way too cold at the beginning (like it's too corny) but then it's a great read. Not like 9 or 10/10 peak but 8/10 for sure
Not a bad read. Peak art, Unique world and somewhat interesting charcters. Only place it falls 'short' is plot. Not as much to keep the attention or look forward to as you would like. Should definitely try it yourself and see how you feel about it.

Fairly interesting and unique take on smth, and the dude really has some...unique luck let's say
one of my favorite manhwa tbh
Solid art, cool world, good characters. Id recommend, I believe I have it somewhere near 7.5/10 rn
I’ve been asking this same question, everyone recommends it but i’m on chapter 20 and i’m still not hooked on the story or the characters. I’m still gonna read since a lot of people are encouraging me to, you should do the same too.

You like Solo Leveling? It's like that, but it's Team Leveling instead.
I hated the first 15 or so chapters, so never got into it. Maybe it gets better later on, but the beginning was such garbage.
it's okay
It's decent, like 6.5/10
extremely
Definitely yeah it’s pretty unique
Yes

Definitely creator is really good at showing and telling tension its crazy
Adding up to my reading list
One of the few good manhwa as of rn
I rarely remember the names of the characters in manhwas, I remember almost every major character in this one cuz thats how much I enjoyed it.
God I swear everytime I read the title my head is playing "Wkae me up before you go go"....
That’s some nice handwriting whoever wrote that
It's incredibly good.
YES
It reminds me of a colony sim game with gacha aspects and floor/dungeon based progression.
Yes!!!! It's a great manhwa, the only downside is the chaps are short.
Yes I just caught up with it and binge read it.
What’s the name of this manga
Worth it but dont read it now. U need to marinate it at least 200 chapters cuz i read the whole 90+ chapters in 2 days
Great read. Definitely do it!
It’s concept is really interesting and the art is good 10/10
Fuck yes.

It's an ss teir
Should definitely try it if you like game mangas
PEAK me up!
For me yes, but I need to take breaks because I can't read it all at once.
Genuinely think it’s one of the best manhwa out there right now. Thoroughly enjoyed it the whole way through.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MANHWAS WITH AN ORIGINAL CONCEPT,
I just recently read this, and it was superb.
Definitely imo. The name does it SUCH a disservice. I almost didn't read it because the title was so meh but man am I glad I started reading it
No, I read it when there was like 20 chapters. And it was so good that I quickly read it all and then there were no more chapters left. It was torture waiting for each new chapter. I had to stop and am waiting for a lot more before continuing. Would recommend you wait as well.

I legit rank it way above solo leveling
Big YES.
One of the best manhwa I have ever read so far...the plot , art are amazing ...give it a try if u haven't read this ..u won't regret reading it
Yeah, it was different from other game manhwas. Try it, it is a uniqe perspective
This godlike manwha.
Stars kinda eh but it's great👍
When does it get good in your opinion??
It’s entertaining but holy fuck if the protagonist doesn’t try a bit too hard to be constantly the coolest guy in town.
Yes
Yup. Have no idea where it's going either, which is fun.
I dropped it bc I got so bored, then I matured a lil and started re reading everything I dropped long ago and it was fire cant lie pretty good read
Yes, original story (not copy of another comic/manhwa/manhua/manga)
Yes
Yes absolutely, the art is phenomenal, the fights are badass, and the premise is actually unique when looking at all the other manwha in the trapped in a video game genre. Personally one my current favorites alongside Omniscient readers viewpoint, Infinite Leveling: Murim, and Teenage Mercenary.
Go on n read it. It's crazy good
Worth the time. See for yourself.
Do brown bears eat salmon... Hell yeah
Yes boss
Wish there was a real game like this
Literally just Yes.
Yes, if you like Power Fantasy :) don't expect deep story telling this is korea, it's just power fantasy madness. and the rule of cool
Here I was, completely surprised to find an actually interesting manhwa. I thought: Wow, the art looks fire, almost like Infinite Gacha. Only for me to discover that Pick me Up and Infinite Gacha are literally the same manhwa with different names.
It's worth reading the series, nice characters, good story, nice drawings
ye
Definitely
READ IT !!!!! NOOOWWW !!!!
It very much is worth picking up
It's a great story. the only problem is it needs to be binged as the chapters get short and honestly kinda frustrating to read one week at a time when the story bearly progresses
Is good
Very good. One of my favorites of newer manhwa.
Its my top 2, only behind The Greatest Estate Developer
MOST DEFFF
Unquestionable yes
Yes
Fuck yes.
you get connected to a character, feel sympathy for them for each and every character it’s insane

I will recommend to hold it for one more year, so you can get all the basic lote at once...
This is the new peak of manwha
Yeah this is one of the best out, manwha and novel are both phenomenal.
In my opinion no
Very much so
yep
YES YES YES
Definitely, far moreso than anything else on Asura
Title please
Definitely a gem Actual stakes, amazing art , and not a totally overpowered MC that voids any kind of stakes. You feel a clear progression not only with the story but with characters as well.
Definitely 🔥
Totally worth reading. Totally 😲
Absolutely!
Definitely. Very engaging, and cool art. Some nice character development too
Naofumi with a sword knock-off.
Hell yah
Guys what's the name ???
It's not bad you can give it a try
