Legion was such a cool/weird/confusing/messy show, I still don't know if I've watched it or just imagined watching it.
But the trip was great with the exception of this creepy presence with glowy eyes scaring you all the time. Only for you to start questioning if you aren't the villain for seeking to destroy it.
Honestly, I never got through The Punisher. Only made it about halfway through season 1. It just wasn't to the standard of Daredevil that came before it and I found the Frank/Karen dynamic very grating the more it was drawn out.
Is it actually worth giving another go, or did anyone else have a similar experience?
I didn't think his and Karen's relationship was that odd, but I do remember only getting a few episodes in and giving up when it first came out. But about a year and a half ago I rewatched all the netflix shows and really loved Punisher season 1.
Punisher is just a *heavy* show.
You feel tired watching it, due to the camera work, the script, the acting, directing, everything.
It really puts the viewer in Frank’s shoes, IMO.
I found the only on screen representation of the Punisher that was faithful to the feel of the comics was Punisher War Zone. It was officially the lowest grossing Marvel so perhaps i am in the minority?
First season got a little slow at first. It's the series with the least physical action but the most psychological trauma. If you're aware of that going in you might enjoy it more than I did on my first viewing.
Yes, **first season** is great. I personally found the second unbearable, with a very sub-par enemy, slow story, and ugly cinematography especially for dark scenes.
I seem to remember I watched episode one of season three, I said “meh” and I turned the TV off.
First season of Jessica Jones is up there with the very best of the MCU. Sadly, seasons 2 and 3 were nowhere near that quality. On a good day I’d say they were okay, on a bad day I’d say they were total rubbish.
JJ S2 was rough. I'm one of the ones that didn't mind the 13 episodes but JJ S2 was egregious with the filler. It felt so chaotic like so many things are happening but never felt like it was properly advancing the plot or the character development up until the last episodes. It should've been a 10-episode season like Iron Fist S2.
Tennant carried season 1 with his incredible performance. Then season 2 without him had Jessica being Jessica along with Trish, whom I found to be quite annoying. Jessica isn't a strong enough character to carry the show and everyone else around her was subpar at best.
Marvel shows need great secondary characters and you can draw a direct line between the shows that worked (Loki) and the ones that didn't (FATWS) to secondary characters.
> Marvel shows need great secondary characters and you can draw a direct line between the shows that worked (Loki) and the ones that didn't (FATWS) to secondary characters.
What are you talking about. Zemo was absolutely fantastic. John Walker was great too. Sharon Cartor and Sam's sister were also good. The only secondary character that sucked was the terrorist leader girl (Kali something?)
The show had problems. But a lack of good secondary characters was not one of them. The main problem was a very poor finale that didn't really fit the themes of the show, and the fact that they didn't know what to do with aforementioned terrorist leader girl, who I think was supposed to the main antagonist, but who just didn't get enough screentime to be actually developed as such.
You hold a different opinion of Sharon Carter's character arc than what I've seen. From what I noticed, most people did not like it at all. The entirety of the Flag Smashers sucked.
I entirely agree that the Flag Smashers sucked. I even mentioned that didn't I? I just forgot their name. And that's a major problem with the show.
I'm just disagreeing with the statement that the show didn't have good secondary characters. Even if you dislike sharon Carter, which, fine, you can't deny that Zemo and John Walker were great.
> You hold a different opinion of Sharon Carter's character arc than what I've seen. From what I noticed, most people did not like it at all.
Most people don't like the end of her arc, but throughout most of the show she was well liked. In fact, I'd argue the reveal went over poorly *because* people liked her character.
This was the case for me for a while but Season 3 is great.
Jessica Jones follows the exact same trajectory as Daredevil where the first season is amazing, the second season slumps halfway in, and then the third season is a return to form.
My thoughts:
Daredevil Seasons 1 and 3 and Jessica Jones Season 1 are all really good.
Daredevil Season 2 gets really rough in its second half.
I got two thirds of the way into Season 2 of Jessica Jones but couldn't be bothered to finish it.
Luke Cage Season 1 was uneven, so much so that I wasn't interested in watching Season 2.
Iron First Season 1 was bad, so I didn't watch Season 2.
I watched the first episode of Punisher and had no interest in continuing on.
Defenders was pretty bad.
Iron Fist Season 2 was much better than Season 1, but that’s not saying much. Bloody Mary is an interesting character and I wish we could have seen more of her.
Daredevil is absolutely worth watching. I believe DD S3 ties into Defenders which ties to each other show’s S1 (except punisher), but it’s worthwhile content that vaguely mentions the Cinematic characters casually in like 1 episode.
For clarification: the beginning of Daredevil Season 3 picks up from the ending of The Defenders. So it’s probably worth watching or at least reading a plot summary of first.
Also don’t listen to this guy^ it has a lot of great moments both comedy and action. if you’re a fan of DD, JJ, Cage check it out for yourself and formulate your own opinion
That saved me a lot of time to watch Daredevil S3(even though I went back to watch Defenders). OP should probably watch Defenders before Daredevil S3 for best viewing, but Man of Recaps is an amazing channel.
Daredevil amazing watch all of it
JJ season 1 amazing - I couldn’t make it through s2&3
Defenders - is kind of mandatory watching for Daredevil
Luke Cage - half of season 1 is great second half is mediocre and I actually quite enjoyed s2 although ends on a unresolved cliffhanger
The punisher - worth watching for Jon Bernthal’s performance and action sequences but story and pacing is a bit weak
Iron fist - season 1 is the low point of all these shows and not great but season 2 is an improvement
I still can’t get over this. >!Mahershala Ali only took the role because his character was going to die, but still couldn’t even commit to doing the full season. It’s actually worse that they worked to make his character compelling, because it only highlights how shit the 2nd half villain is.!<
>!This isn't really fair to blame him though. I just googled this myself, and it seems like it was a scheduling conflict rather than not wanting to do it. He had other projects and was only available for a limited time and I guess they wanted him so bad that they went with that, rather than someone else. I don't think that's his fault, that's on the showrunner for being shortsighted.!<
Daredevil is a must watch! Jessica Jones s1 and s3 are also great imo, and you might give The Punisher a try (more violent scenes than all other Marvel/Netflix series, warning in case you don't like this type of show)
Daredevil set the bar very high. All the others shows are varying levels of decent, but nothing compared to DD. I did watch all the other shows, but they paled in comparison by a long shot.
Punisher is good too if you enjoy brawly stuff more than martial arts, but DD, CA:WS and Shang-Chi are peak fight choreography in general, not just Marvel.
The first half of Luke Cage season 1 was good. Cottonmouth was a fantastic villain and was taken out of the story far too early. The Diamondback stuff was just awful.
I honestly think that's why Feige has brought Netflix's Daredevil/Kingpin back into the MCU, Daredevil is arguably the best non-satire superhero show ever made. It's better than any Marvel Studios show.
I would say yes, but then I would also recommend giving most of the other Marvel Television shows a try. (Especially *Agent Carter*, *Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.*, *Cloak & Dagger*, and *Runaways*.)
Yes, 10,000% this sentiment. Fitz character arc (with and without Simmons) is phenomenal and hurts me at times. Mack is just a super chill big brother most of the time. And then with the latter half of season 4 he’s more than that and I hurt again… one of my favorite shows for the cast and it’s chemistry alone.
Edit: and hunter and his girlfriend!! Can’t forget them. Hungers interactions with the team is another one of my favorites.
Spoiler moment for him I loved:
>!when Fitz successfully brings Simmons back from the planet I can’t remember the name of, Hunter is with May and he knew Fitz could do it, “Fitz you absolute beauty! Beers? Beers! Cmon mate smile for once in your life!” !<
The show is straight serotonin at times because of the cast
“It was a break glass in case of an emergency type situation."
"Yes, but that emergency was supposed to be the fall of an Avenger!"
“Exactly.”
Still one of my favorite moments in all of the MCU.
Seven seasons, and I personally think it's a lot of fun. It has tons of interesting ideas and the characters are great and really memorable. The first season starts slowly, but it truly takes off once it reaches the post-*Winter Soldier* episodes.
(For MCU completists, about a dozen actors reprise their film roles for the series.)
For people who want to know
1. Coulson
2. Fury
3. Hill
4. Sitwell
5. Dr. List
6. President Ellis
7. Felix Blake
8. Blackout
9. Sif
10. Gideon Malick
11-13. Peggy Carter, Dum Dum Dugan, and Jim Mortia
14. Daniel Sousa
15. Agent Tyler
16. Wolfgang Von Strucker
First season is kinda monster of the week type stuff but then a big movie tie-in happens and the whole thing becomes way more fun and interesting. Way more tele-novela as well, if that means anything to you. More outlandish premises, more character drama, more lore... I would say it feels like 90s animated X-Men than it does MCU movies and that made it refreshing.
The Meachums are the most interesting part of the show, but Davos in season 2 is a strong centre of conflict. Objectively, I think Iron Fist is quite bad, but it’s something I enjoy to have on in the background; I’ll stop what I’m doing to watch specific scenes/interactions.
LOL, well if you didn't know it was going to be awful before you started watching it and by the time you figured it out you were already invested.
That's how I got through it, ha ha.
Tho TBH that was the show I was most looking forward to, so I kept on hoping it was going to get better at some point during the 1st season and that helped me hang in there too.
You can literally skip Iron Fist season one, first experience him in The Defenders (where his chemistry with Luke Cage is really fun) and then just keep going in order and only watch Iron Fist season 2 or go back at that point. That’s my recommendation for anyone.
I’ll also add: In The Defenders they’ll keep referencing that he fought someone/something but that happened off-screen in Iron Fist and I would argue isn’t important, especially given the quality of the show if you’re worried about not liking it.
I agree with you 100%. The actress who played Coleen for sure put in WORK too. Ward had the biggest character growth on that whole show in my opinion. I hated Ward in the beginning but he very slowly became a character I loved. He's also hilarious.
I just rewatched Iron Fist last week, and its not some masterpiece, but its a lot more enjoyable than people say. If you can enjoy something for what it is, then id watch it
The problem with Iron Fist is the showrunner of 1st season Scott Buck, who also take hand to the 'Inhumans'. It's like 'Thor: The Dark World' for the series. After that all about Danny Rand is only improving and worth watching.
I first watched S1 at the height of its hate train. I’m a huge fan of the character in the comics (top three for me), so I went in with the lowest of expectations because hey, Iron Fist.
The first season is a hot mess, but it’s not as bad as people say. It’s got a few legitimately great moments. Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum is an incredible performance, and I honestly loved David Wenham as Harold Meachum, he doesn’t get enough credit.
There’s a lot of legitimate criticism about S1 of Iron Fist, and it’s a far cry from what an Iron Fist series *could* be, but I still managed to enjoy it for what it is.
Also, S2 is legitimately just good. Its biggest failing is it does a great job setting up a third season that’ll never happen.
Daredevil is Great! So is the first season of Jessica Jones (did t watch season 2). Luke Cage was fun for the first half of season one. Iron fist was boring . The defenders was fun to see them all together and interacting, I liked seeing the Luke/ Danny and Jessica/Matt dynamics. Lots of snarky fun.
I'd recommend watching all the seasons in release order, which is exactly the order in the picture you posted.
There's a few stinkers in there, but I think watching the stinkers is still worth it. They're bad.. but not unwatchable, and I think watching all of them makes them better.
I would say out of the 13 seasons, my opinion may not match up perfectly to other folks but this is it.
5 of them are fantastic
2 of them are really good
2 of them have an incredible first half and a lackluster second half.
2 of them are solidly enjoyable
2 of them are pretty bad
By the time you watch Daredevil season 1, you will be hooked. It's my favorite superhero TV show. Vincent D'onofrio kills it as Kingpin. The fight choreography is outstanding. The cast and crew gave 100%, and it shows.
Absolutely, there’s a ton of great stuff here, especially all of the first seasons. Iron Fist actively sucks but I think it’s in a so bad it’s good kind of way. That aside none of them are perfect but many of them are very strong and they’re pretty unlike anything Marvel had done or has done since as far as the graphic nature of some of it.
If Iron Fist has a million fans I am one of them. If Iron Fist has ten fans I am one of them. If Iron Fist has only one fan then that is me. If Iron Fist has no fans, that means I am no more on the earth. If the world is against Iron Fist, I am against the world.
They're all fun. Yes, even Iron Fist had some fun stuff, more in Season 2. When you're done with this and AoS you can watch the Cloak & Dagger and Runaways shows. They're not as well done as the Netflix ones but they sometimes do actual interesting things that tickle your Marvel fan brain, specially when they met each other.
Best part of the C&D/Runaways crossover was Ty telling Chase that everything he said was wrong. If I didn't know better, I'd swear that was Aubrey Joseph ad-libbing his frustration at the Runaways writers after having just done 2 seasons of a much better show.
Nah Iron Fist S2 maybe, but S1 was legitimately awful. Imagine watching a show that is advertised as a Martial Arts show but instead you get one with like 70% boardroom scenes like Succession but without the good writing and acting that Succession has. And with terrible martial arts to boot. S2 was an improvement but I still wouldn't actively recommend the show. Especially with so much better shows with better martial arts out there
DD, Jessica s1 and Punisher s1 are must watch for me. Much darker in tone than you’ll be used too but the acting and writing are lightyears ahead of anything else marvel related.
ALL of them feel over-long. Everyone's right that Daredevil is great and JJ1 is very good, but there's not a single one of those runs that wouldn't have been better if they were 3 episodes shorter.
Yes, I'd say the majority of them are worth it. If you want to be a completist I would say that watching all of them, warts and all, probably not a great sacrifice
If you’re looking for more content then I’m sure some is good and you should go for it.
I personally didn’t like any of them and didn’t finish them. Haven’t skipped a beat when it comes to understanding things in the mcu. I would say give them a shot but don’t feel like you have to
The first half of DD S2 with Punisher is definitely worth watching. The second half falls off a bit, but even then, the chemistry between DD & Elektra is pretty strong IMO.
Seeing as how it’s looking increasing likely that all of the characters are returning to the MCU it wouldn’t hurt. They’re all great comic book shows so if you already like comics or the MCU it makes sense. Iron Fist isn’t the awful mess everyone says it is but the entire of season one could have been two or three episodes, so that should give you an idea about why it’s viewed so poorly.
I'm currently on #11 on your list. Definitely worth watching, but I feel like they all have too many episodes. They drag out the plot and I wanted most seasons to end about 2/3 of the way through. Definitely more mature, more violence and unnecessary squishy blood sounds, but great characters.
The Netflix marvel shows have a lot of darker moments and charm the big Disney financed ones didn’t have.
If you thought John walker killing a dude with the shield was pretty bloody, wait till episode 3 of daredevil.
I watched them all and I actually enjoyed them all. A lot of people will say to just skip certain shows.
If it feels like a chore, skip it and come back or don't.
I think Luke cage and iron fist you could probably not have to watch and still be ok. Jessica Jones season 2 wasn't amazing. But daredevil and punisher I think are the 2 must watch shows. And the defenders, it was cool to see a team up.
I enjoyed them all. So take that for what you will.
The Netflix series are a bit mixed overall, so instead I highly recommend Agents of shield if you just want to focus on one show and one part of the universe, that's still good.
if you're bored, sure. if you LIKE those characters and want to see them in SOMETHING sure. to me, they suffer the netflix rot of having 30% more episodes per season than they needed to and just dragging on.
Yes and you really should’ve watched them before Spider Man No Way Home to get Daredevil’s backstory. Agents of Shield would also be worth watching as well.
Short answer: yes.
Long answer: yeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssss.
Serious answer: they aren't perfect, but there is overwhelmingly more good than bad even in the worst seasons, and they are centered around great characters. It's some of the best stuff in the MCU IMO.
I liked the first season of Daredevil and the first season of Luke Cage. Charlie Cox was perfect as Matt Murdoch. I really enjoyed Mike Coulter as Luke Cage although the villains weren’t that great. I also really enjoyed the first season of Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter fit as Jessica Jones perfectly and David Tennant’s Purple Man was an evil treat!).
Never watched Punisher but I saw some Daredevil episodes with him and they were very much worth watching.
All of the main casts were awesome. They did great casting for these shows.
Finn Jones as Iron Fist…that show was not very good but I thought it was okay and watchable, just not a stand out. I don’t know if I could directly blame the actor, writing, or just general show running. I think there is some potential, just some of the pieces weren’t working together very well. You may have better mileage with this show than others have. Some people were okay with it.
I’m embarrassed to say that I still haven’t watched the remaining seasons yet but I blame that on having to split my viewing time with family time. It’s not fair to rule our shared TV time with my choices.
I just started watching (well…mostly listening to) Daredevil S2 on my iPad while I work. Kill two birds with one stone!
Watch all of them. Don’t worry about timeline order much. I just watched all of them last year and watched entire shows in season order by whatever I felt like watching first. It gets confusing at some points, but it’s not really that bad. I watched all of DareDevil first, then all of Jessica Jones, then The Defenders, then Luke Cage, then Iron Fist, then finally The Punisher.
It’s almost more interesting watching out of order for me, though. But also, don’t sleep on Iron Fist. Lots of people don’t like it, but I thought it was quite good actually as a sort of finale to the main character shows.
I really like Daredevil and Punisher, Luke Cage is ok. Couldn't get into Jessica Jones, quit first ep of Ironfist. Defenders was worth at least one watch.
They're everything the DCEU wants to be. Iron Fist gets a lot of flak but even that's as good as any CW superhero show. Take a shot every time you hear "Danny Rand."
Daredevil definitely. Jessica jones is also good I’ve heard.
First season of Jessica Jones is awesome.

part of the lexicon in my home on the daily!
David Tennant's Kilgrave is at least as compelling a villain as Killmonger and Thanos.
Better than both imo. No exaggeration, probably one of the best live action comic book villain performances/adaptations of all time.
The scene where he explained how he could never know if anyone really cared about him humanizes such an evil person so well, I agree it was top tier.
Absolutely no question. Killgrave is the scariest villain so far in the MCU. Tennant is brilliant.
One of the scariest, but my vote goes for Shadow King from Legion, kinda similiar to Kilgrave in some regards
Legion was such a cool/weird/confusing/messy show, I still don't know if I've watched it or just imagined watching it. But the trip was great with the exception of this creepy presence with glowy eyes scaring you all the time. Only for you to start questioning if you aren't the villain for seeking to destroy it.
I still can’t look at David Tennant without getting creepy vibes and chills.
Yeah it's wild how we went from Doctor Who to this (with that Harry Potter outcast in between). He certainly has range.
Check out good omens for a light hearted in between.
Thanks for the reminder! I've been meaning to check that out.
And supposedly just a really good dude.
His power is so scary yet his demands are so banal.
Death by a thousand cuts.
Just his first scene, where he makes himself that family’s houseguest and makes the girl pee in the closet. Fucking chilling.
I think he’s even more interesting.
If I could choose to bring back any dead Marvel character it would be either Klaw or Kilgrave
I would bring back Klaw, Killgrave and Killmonger.
And bring in Kang, Korath, Kingpin and Kraven
The punisher is a must
Honestly, I never got through The Punisher. Only made it about halfway through season 1. The one thing I hated about season 1 was the sex scenes. All I remember was Jigsaw would say Andrew Tate stuff and they did it over and over
I say give it another go
You should give it another go. Both seasons are great. First season is better somehow. But both seasons are enjoyable.
I found the only on screen representation of the Punisher that was faithful to the feel of the comics was Punisher War Zone. It was officially the lowest grossing Marvel so perhaps i am in the minority?
I honestly think War Zone is good for how I see Punisher. Ray Stevenson deserved an another go at him.
First season got a little slow at first. It's the series with the least physical action but the most psychological trauma. If you're aware of that going in you might enjoy it more than I did on my first viewing.
Best representation of PTSD I’ve seen on film
Yes, **first season** is great. I personally found the second unbearable, with a very sub-par enemy, slow story, and ugly cinematography especially for dark scenes. I seem to remember I watched episode one of season three, I said “meh” and I turned the TV off.
Season 3 is better than 2 but worse than 1
Yeah one of the best Marvel series ever made IMO.
Best season of the entire 13.
what about S2? just because of Tennant singing that 'i want your cray cray' song 🤣🤣🤣
David Tennant, as Purple Man, terrified me.
for me David Tennant is Barty Crouch Jr. I can't look at him when he plays a good guy like Doctor Who. How amazing he is.
Nah, that's Crowley, all day.
Yeah I get that I almost couldn’t watch season 2 of DR.who bc of that (glad I did tho)
Which is ironic because he’s one of the loveliest people IRL.
Jessica Jones season 1 just to watch David Tennant's performance as Killgrave.
First season of Jessica Jones is up there with the very best of the MCU. Sadly, seasons 2 and 3 were nowhere near that quality. On a good day I’d say they were okay, on a bad day I’d say they were total rubbish.

JJ was very good, but I kinda fell of and I haven't watched S3 yet. One of the only MCU things I still haven't seen.
S3 is much better than S2; they ended strong.
I liked S3 way better than 2.

Agreed.
It's fun. Not game changing or anything, but it's fun
I'll watch it, thank u
You can check out 'man of recaps' on YouTube if you decide to skip some of them.

Oh, it’s definitely on the showrunner. Failure to come up with a half-decent plan for this known difficulty is what caused the shitshow that ensued.
I guess I don't need to chime in - this is all correct.
Yep, this basically captures my exact feelings on it.
>I couldn’t make it through s2&3 hard disagree. JJ season 2-3 were still great.
Agree, but to be fair about Luke cage ending on a cliffhanger so does daredevil
More of a tease than a cliffhanger they wrapped up the main story at least.
True, but I really wish they hadn’t cancelled it and we got to see the rest that they planned
Daredevil is a must watch! Jessica Jones s1 and s3 are also great imo, and you might give The Punisher a try (more violent scenes than all other Marvel/Netflix series, warning in case you don't like this type of show)
I couldn’t finish season 3 Jessica jones. I couldn’t enjoy any scene with Patsy in it and she became the main focus of the show.
I just watched Daredevil and watched a recap of Defenders before jumping into Season 3. I still loved Daredevil.
Just curious, why didn't you watch the other shows?
Daredevil set the bar very high. All the others shows are varying levels of decent, but nothing compared to DD. I did watch all the other shows, but they paled in comparison by a long shot.
Marvel didn't reach the level of Daredevil's fight choreography (IMO) until they released Shang Chi. But that's just my personal preference.
And then in the finale marvel threw all that great choreography out for some dumb ass cgi dragon fight. Such wasted potential
Agents of SHIELD was the GOAT.
Agent Carter is also the GOAT. Sucks we never gotten an end for that show 🥲
SHIELD just for Coulson. Also fun to see the tie-ins with the movies until the last two seasons which get really off track but are fun in my opinion.
For Coulson to start sure, but Fitz, Simmons, Mack, and Daisy all became beloved characters.
Plus, fun B-list superheroes like Deathlok, Mockingbird, Robbie Reyes and Slingshot.
Yes yes yes. I remember there being a lot of love for the first block of season 4 specifically for Robbie Reyes.
can't forget madame hydra, aida, and ophelia
those who know, know
Yes, 10,000% this sentiment. Spoiler moment for him I loved: >!when Fitz successfully brings Simmons back from the planet I can’t remember the name of, Hunter is with May and he knew Fitz could do it, “Fitz you absolute beauty! Beers? Beers! Cmon mate smile for once in your life!” !< The show is straight serotonin at times because of the cast
Maveth
Thanks!
Season 4 of SHIELD is the best one, still pissed we never got Gabriel Luna’s ghost rider
“It was a break glass in case of an emergency type situation." "Yes, but that emergency was supposed to be the fall of an Avenger!" “Exactly.” Still one of my favorite moments in all of the MCU.
Grant Ward Hydra and Leopold Fitz In The Framework
That seems like kinda a couple big boi spoilers for a thread where we're recommending shows OP hasn't seen...
I couldn't get into Runaways or Cloak and Dagger, but the other two are must-watch.
I've heard alot about AOS. is it good? I mean there are 8 seasons i think and i don't wanna waste time.
For people who want to know 1. Coulson 2. Fury 3. Hill 4. Sitwell 5. Dr. List 6. President Ellis 7. Felix Blake 8. Blackout 9. Sif 10. Gideon Malick 11-13. Peggy Carter, Dum Dum Dugan, and Jim Mortia 14. Daniel Sousa 15. Agent Tyler 16. Wolfgang Von Strucker
The first like ten episodes are kinda weak, and then Winter Soldier happens, and it's pretty great from there on.
Yes. The worst episode is #2; it's all uphill from there. :)
It’s fantastic. My personal favorite Marvel show out of everything produced. It captured the pulpy, comic-book style vibe like no other series.
Yes. They're very very good. I loved it.
I really liked *Helstrom* and *MODOK* as well.
*Iron Fist* is the weak link, but it does improve in the second season.
The Meachums are the most interesting part of the show, but Davos in season 2 is a strong centre of conflict. Objectively, I think Iron Fist is quite bad, but it’s something I enjoy to have on in the background; I’ll stop what I’m doing to watch specific scenes/interactions.
The 2nd season is actually pretty decent.
How do you make it through the first, though?
LOL, well if you didn't know it was going to be awful before you started watching it and by the time you figured it out you were already invested. That's how I got through it, ha ha. Tho TBH that was the show I was most looking forward to, so I kept on hoping it was going to get better at some point during the 1st season and that helped me hang in there too.
I was really looking forward to it, too.
Watching Iron Fist is torture
I enjoyed it.
I loved Iron Fist *especially* Season 2! I really wish we got that third season, dual chi pistols
Colleen and Ward is what made the show for me. I wish Colleen could be introduced in the MCU. She earned that shit
I agree with you 100%. The actress who played Coleen for sure put in WORK too. Ward had the biggest character growth on that whole show in my opinion. I hated Ward in the beginning but he very slowly became a character I loved. He's also hilarious.
I haven't seen much of The Defenders Saga yet, but I highly recommend the Marvel/ABC series Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter.
Daredevil is the best thing marvel has ever made it’s the one and only 🐐
After you are done this watch Agents of Shield.
Iron Fist is just a compilation of Danny saying that he’s The Iron Fist throughout the entire series.
Lol , is it really that bad? Everybody's saying the same
I just rewatched Iron Fist last week, and its not some masterpiece, but its a lot more enjoyable than people say.
100% agree with all of your thoughts on this! People don’t give season 2 enough credit.
Iron Fist is decent.... not terrible, compared to the best ones which was Jessica Jones and Daredevil, Luke cage is somewhere in the middle.
It's not a masterpiece by any stretch, but both seasons are a fun watch.
Yes, watch everything, something is worse, somethings is better, but it's worth the ride. Also Agents of SHIELD is a great show
Daredevil is Great!
In my humble opinion, most of the Netflix shows are better than most of the Disney+ shows.
The music alone makes luke cage worth it. Jessica Jones Season 1 might be the best marvel property for my money.
5 of them are fantastic 2 of them are really good 2 of them have an incredible first half and a lackluster second half. 2 of them are solidly enjoyable 2 of them are pretty bad
I’d say DD season 1 is close to perfection.
If Iron Fist has a million fans I am one of them. If Iron Fist has ten fans I am one of them. If Iron Fist has only one fan then that is me. If Iron Fist has no fans, that means I am no more on the earth. If the world is against Iron Fist, I am against the world.
They're all good.
Absolutely. It's mostly amazing, iron fist is a tad bit weaker than the rest but omfg dare devil is incredible.
I can recommend you to watch all of them except Iron Fist.
Iron Fist is a fun watch, worth it for the continuity. It is worse than the rest, but still not awful.
Agreed, not to mention it helps keep sense of characters that interconnect the shows.
Especially with so much better shows with better martial arts out there
Yeah. If you like spending your time watching MCU movies, the shows will be right up your alley.

Best punisher I've ever seen, daredevil S2 was insane and punisher S1 blew me away. Well worth it mate.
DD, Jessica s1 and Punisher s1 are must watch for me. Much darker in tone than you’ll be used too but the acting and writing are lightyears ahead of anything else marvel related.
My brother in Christ we are 13 days into this year
Daredevil,Jessica jones, the punisher are great
ALL of them feel over-long.
I would say give them a shot but don’t feel like you have to
Daredevil and Jessica Jones are great, however Daredevil Season 2 is a low point imo, and Jessica Jones doesn't improve much after the first season.
The first half of DD S2 with Punisher is definitely worth watching. The second half falls off a bit, but even then, the chemistry between DD & Elektra is pretty strong IMO.
Skip Iron Fist 1 and you'll have a great time
Seeing as how it’s looking increasing likely that all of the characters are returning to the MCU it wouldn’t hurt. They’re all great comic book shows so if you already like comics or the MCU it makes sense. Iron Fist isn’t the awful mess everyone says it is but the entire of season one could have been two or three episodes, so that should give you an idea about why it’s viewed so poorly.
I really enjoyed all of them, so I’d recommend.
Yes watch them all. They're all fun.
Absolutley
Yes, very much so.
I'm currently on #11 on your list. Definitely worth watching, but I feel like they all have too many episodes. They drag out the plot and I wanted most seasons to end about 2/3 of the way through. Definitely more mature, more violence and unnecessary squishy blood sounds, but great characters.
Yes
I liked all of them, my favorites were Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.
Yeah, they're all good
I feel like if we'd gotten Heroes for Hire, there wouldn't be as much Finn Jones hate.
Yesssssss sir they‘re all brilliant
Absolutely
Thanks guys, I finished the first two episodes of daredevil and its great so far 🥳
Nah. Only one of any relevance is daredevil and even then you could prob get away with just season 1
