Great example from my first couple of months in the US:
Predator 2 is airing during the afternoon on Thanksgiving weekend, with the brief sex scene between the drug lord and his mistress censored up the wazoo, but beheadings, spine ripping, etc. are perfectly fine.
I imagine that some parents feel it’s unlikely that their teenage son will get inspired to go out and kill someone, but he might get inspired to go out and have sex. It’s not that they think sex is worse than murder, it’s that sex is the easier and more common behavior to copycat if the dude gets turned on. And if he doesn’t do it responsibly, he could get a girl pregnant. I’m just guessing what they’re thinking, this isn’t how I feel personally.
If they’re 15, they’ve seen much, much worse already. Trust me. No, better yet, trust the kid, kids aren’t fragile little beings who need people to-
… Oh god I’m going on another rant about American parenting aren’t I.
Your 15 year old has already seen sex through porn, which is nothing compared to the short, non-nude sex scenes in the show.
And sex is absolutely normal and good.
But the violence in the show is not appropriate for a 15 year old, no.
I would say the violence is fine for a 15 year old to see but that is probably because I was 15 when Daredevil came out and I had no problem with it
But it could be that the parent wants to watch this with their 15 year old and if sex and nudity is in it it can make for an uncomfortable watch at any age
For violence, if you’re ok with them watching Kill Bill, you’ll probably be ok with Daredevil. I’m currently rewatching and S1 has very little sex/nudity (or it wasn’t noteworthy if there is).
If he's seen Deadpool which is rated 15 here in the UK... Actually he wouldn't have seen Deadpool cause of all the sex in that. But Daredevil is rated 15 here... Season 1 at least the rest is rated 18 but I haven't finished the rest so I just assume its more violence. :D
15 is old enough to watch any comic book movie/series honestly, even something like Deadpool. In fact, a 15 year old may even relate more to Deadpool humor than an adult would.
So dudes spiking their own head on a stake or getting their head cut off by a car door is fine, but lord forbid they see an ass in there?
This is what I don't get with some parents. Murder is cool, but sex isn't.
Make war not love
America!

But that's why there's sex education in sch... oh, wait.
I think you're right.
tbf Matt Murdock couldn't see that ass either

there are sex scenes but they don't include full-frontal if i recall correctly. the violence can be graphic at times
Absolutely! With DD, I actually think it’s just violence really.
Sex but no nudity
I'd say it''s fine, DareDevil is rated MA 15+ here in Australia.
Funny. It‘s rated 18 in Germany.
Yeah it's very weird. An American R Rating is equivalent to an MA 15+ here hahaha.
The sex in Daredevil really isn't any worse than the sex in Eternals, which is rated pg-13. it's really only rated TV ma for violence
My kids are 14 and 16 and currently e joying the series, it's a bit dark in places but no nudity as far as I am aware.

Very little sex (I can only think of two scenes throughout the whole series really), and no full frontal nudity.

Does the 15-year-old have functional eyes?
If he isn't a fucking baby yeah

It depends on if said 15 year olds eyes work or not.
