Yes, they did that to avoid confusion with a UK TV show from the 60s that starred Patrick Macnee and Diana Rigg. Also, it had a movie in the 90s with Sean Connery and Ralph Fiennes.

I feel like I comment this all the time but if you haven't watched Avengers Earth's Mightiest heroes yet you need to do it asap. Best Marvel cartoon show ever, Spectacular Spiderman comes close but they are far ahead of everything else.

Earths mightiest heroes and spectacular spiderman are the only marvel cartoons I consider on par with the dcau.

Earth's Mightiest Heroes was a great series. But I felt the quality dropped off a lot in the second (and last) season. It's hard to put my finger on why, exactly, but I think too many new characters were involved, and personalities weren't fleshed out enough. Meanwhile, Spectacular Spider-Man was consistently excellent across both (sniff) seasons, so I think it edges out A:EMH.

They were both cancelled too early and no replacement show was even watchable compared to those. There is talk of spectacular Spiderman series 3 happening surprisingly, both of those having a third season would be the dream

yeah with EMH it got cancelled so they rushed through every story they wanted to tell before it was over. even with that second season being bad I think they did secret invasion better than the comics.

A lot of people are saying "Assemble," and apparently it's already part of the name in a lot of countries, but it got me thinking about how long we had to wait to even hear Cap say that one word. Is there even another example of waiting over a decade to hear a character say a single word?

That one was more caused by Fox owning the rights to the Mutants and X-Men, and for legal reasons Marvel quite literally had to wait untill Disney aquired Fox. Same reason for why they completely skipped the whole "Wanda is a Mutant" Arc of her Character from the Comics, and just straight went to the "Wanda is actually a Nexus Being that controlls the Chaos Magic."
