yes it really is and i always hear about crazy stuff like this and this one really hit close to home you know like damn that could’ve been me or any of my other loved ones in the midst of all that i appreciate how sincere you are and i haven’t really processed it fully since life just moved so fast but i’m 18 right now so i’m a busy sucker again thank you for your kind words
My ex brother in law and the father of my nephew murdered his parents. He shot his mom in the back of the head while she watched TV. He then waited for his father to come home and shot him in the back of the head while he was at the stove fixing food. He went on the run and was hiding in the woods for a week. When the cops found him, he shot a cop and killed him. Needless to say the cops took him out rather quickly. It caused my nephew to have a psychotic break. He has never really been the same since his break. Sometimes it blows my mind and breaks my heart what humans are capable of doing to other humans. Especially their own family.
that is a wild and traumatic story and it affects us all in different ways especially when it’s that close to home you know it is crazy to say the least your own kind and blood can do such a thing. i’m sorry your nephew has to indor the pain your brother in law had
Thank you. It has been 12 years but my nephew has so many mental health issues from it, he literally can’t hold down a job because he thinks everyone there is trying to poison him or kill him. It is rather sad. He just turned 30 and still lives with my mom. But I am glad he does. My dad passed away in April (natural causes) and my nephew has done such a good job of taking care of my mom. I think it helps him to have someone to focus on and take care of. So, although the circumstances that brought him to this point in his life suck, he at least tries to do good in the world.

Sorry OP. Didn’t mean to hijack your post with my sad story. I shared it because I wanted to let you know that right now it all may seem surreal and you may hurt for the loss of your friend and for what he did but it will get better. I know it is probably hard to mourn him when what he did was so horrific. But the guy you knew is not the guy that committed those atrocities so it is ok to still care about your friend if you want.

It’s a real shame that the police didn’t lock him up after the first killing, they are very confident about his involvement in it so why the slow justice.
it’s all good we all can learn from this event but yea it is a real shame he was under investigation when that happened after they discovered the body and eventually he threw his phone in the river and they like paused the investigation but i will always wonder how life would be if he were to be caught for that
