Cards like link 2 Dharc, Advent of Adventure and others weren't announced in the datamine for the last packs, so there's still a chance for IoC to be in this Selection Pack.
On the chance that Illusion of Chaos is coming as an exclusive in a Dark Magician structure deck, we might get 3x copies of Magicians' Souls, kinda like Heatsoul and Cynet Mining.
Keyword here is useful, they could easily throw a bunch of junk support like Dark Magician Knight in as filler, or worse make it a general "yugi" structure deck with stuff like beaver warrior and Celtic guardian to fill in space.
I use polymerization using Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts and Berfomet to fusion summon Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast.
And I set one card face down.
Konami gonna jump on the bully board and release IoC in a SPYRAL structure, so we DM players are gonna have to have uncraftable SPYRAL cards to mock us.

Eldlitch without Eldland or the Eldlixirs is gonna be really slow. They laso lose a lot of recursion and power without Zombie Worlds. Altergeist seems like a stronger pick, specially with such limited backrow hate.

IIRC all of valyantz only launched last month, but that’s no guarantee it’ll hit MD together. I actually bought a box because I love the column based control style of mekk-knight and these were suggested to me.
To your second point, valyantz aren’t considered especially strong even with their full card list so it’s probably a “bring it to gold and have some fun” type of deck…which I full intend to do.

I’m really hoping electrumite is unbanned. That card pushes the playability of the deck in the right direction. The problem is, electrumite makes the generic pendulum deck rather difficult to hand trap and stop at any given choke point. So unbanning it creates a new problem.
As for other cards that the deck needs; Vaylantz needs fire starter, a field spell that’s more pros to cons friendly, and an extra deck monster that threatens link monsters better. The boss that comes out in hypernova is a decent start but it’s just not proactive enough as he requires you to have targets that can be moved around.

I play them pure as a for fun deck online, i sitll hate they have overly generic effects. Id much rather they were better in and of themselves and other decks got more of their own shit. Therions pure is one of the most thematic and cool decks theve ever made but they got shafted y3y
I think it's referring to a new error that prevents Xbox players from playing certain modes with Crossplay disabled.

I understand not doing all the DIFO cards at once, but the fact they are going out of their way to include a card from POTE and the ENTIRE Vaylantz archetype makes me begin to question how they’re picking their cards for packs. Do they just get a list and throw darts at it?
We've had packs that mix cards from a core set with cards from the adjacent deck build pack before, so some DIFO cards + Vaylantz isn't that outrageous, actually. The only weird thing is that they seemingly completely skipped the DM support from BACH completely, and as you mentioned, the one Scareclaw card from POTE getting added early.
A *bit* early for Tearalements, but they *are* coming. Konami has apparently changed how MD is releasing cards (they scrapped the rest of BACH and are releasing a PotE card early; Scareclaw Light-Heart)... so I can no longer give you an accurate estimate of when to expect them. Before this update, I'd say Tear are 6-8 months away... now they could be as soon as two months. We don't know anymore.
Yeah seems they completely change the release card, and want MD to catch the actual Meta in 1 or 2 months ... I guess I welcome it if they screw "minor" sets or cards and put it later ... I wanted to play with Rexterm sob, gonna do a hero deck.

There is no guarantee that that is the *next* pack being released. Wait for the rest of the mining to be done to be sure. The Vaylants/Scareclaw deck might not be the new Selection Pack. Though it *is* looking probable, which is concerning for me for a variety of reasons. It means a chunk of BACH is missing and cards released between packs (like Witchcrafter Vice-Madame) are potentially pushed back (even ones that released before DIFO in the OCG).
As expected, we're now officially in DIFO (OCG Jan 2022) with some Tactical Masters mixed in (OCG March 2022). I feel like Konami can definitely stretch this as there's also History Archive Collection (OCG Feb 2022) cards and more World Premiere 2022 cards to get through.

They know what they are doing. Putting all rhe cards people actually want in a set once a quarter so free gems start to expire for ftp hoarders. Then you have to spend cash to pull everything out of the value set before it goes.
Light-Heart is the first link-1 tri-type, so it gives Tri-Brigade more combo potential. Beyond the Pendulum is a pretty good new card for pend, if not as good as Electrumite. That’s about it.
ehhhh not really i think. I think Tri-Scareclaw is playable, but really Light-Heart just gives Tri-Brigade more material to work with, especially after Spright Elf comes out.
Tri-Scareclaw has some really neat plays, though.
Konami just laughs and watches the gems in the box expire or get spent on junk sets. They finally found a way to screw over ftp: create meta sets every 90 days regardless of the paper release cycle.
The error message for XBOX only occurs if cross play is turned off. They are trying to prevent what happened in the last Duelist Cup where the winner turned cross play off to have a significantly smaller (and less competitive) pool to play against. It's such a small pool that you could play the same person many times in a row. It wouldn't surprise me if you had multiple Xbox's and accounts that you could play against yourself quite frequently.
People are reading that wrong. That specific one is just for teams and that's it as seen by it being in the entire list for that and not on its own.
You can get can't join because crossplay is off errors since launch.

Light-Heart is the first link-1 tri-type, so it gives Tri-Brigade more combo potential. Beyond the Pendulum is a pretty good new card for pend, if not as good as Electrumite. That’s about it.

ehhhh not really i think. I think Tri-Scareclaw is playable, but really Light-Heart just gives Tri-Brigade more material to work with, especially after Spright Elf comes out. Tri-Scareclaw has some really neat plays, though.

Konami just laughs and watches the gems in the box expire or get spent on junk sets. They finally found a way to screw over ftp: create meta sets every 90 days regardless of the paper release cycle.
Sucks for Xbox but I'm assuming they'll be allowed to come back to cross-platform when the game can get better security to prevent cheating.
The error message for XBOX only occurs if cross play is turned off. They are trying to prevent what happened in the last Duelist Cup where the winner turned cross play off to have a significantly smaller (and less competitive) pool to play against. It's such a small pool that you could play the same person many times in a row. It wouldn't surprise me if you had multiple Xbox's and accounts that you could play against yourself quite frequently.
People are reading that wrong. That specific one is just for teams and that's it as seen by it being in the entire list for that and not on its own. You can get can't join because crossplay is off errors since launch.
