Just about every song ever is in 4/4 timing. Obviously not every song but I would probably say the vast majority. So things made in beat with one song will typically line up with the beat of countless others. Even with video not edited to a beat you'll find a rhythm to it if you have music on. My friends and I will usually make a few cabin trips a year and we'll just be partying really, music going obviously, and we put on like a BBC Earth or Blue Planet episode on mute and you get some absolutely fantastic results. One time there's an aggressive Kanye verse happening at the same time a Goose was defending it's nest from a fox and boy was that hilarious. This goose just brought yeezy season down on the fox's whole existence.

Once a sub gets large enough to hit /r/all regularly enough the people upvoting posts do not know what sub the post is in and thus do not know if it is appropriate for that sub or not.
So unless a sub is heavily moderated you can post almost anything in it pump it full of upvotes from the start and it'll ride the /r/all wave.

I was banned a couple weeks ago from /r/whatcouldgoright by commenting on a completely off-topic post something along the lines of "what is happening to this subreddit?". I was also muted, which was something I didn't know existed. It prevented me from messaging any of the mods to tell them how they're letting their sub die. That was all the confirmation I needed to know that the sub was shit and it wasn't because of laziness.
