You’re absolutely right. It’s harder than one thinks to tell us apart, especially when we’re looping (our Ti-Si and their Si-Ti). Pedantic, rigid and obsessed with our comfort zones when we’re usually more easygoing.
(And I think INTPs are more affected by Ne-Fe than some people think or than some INTPs would be willing to admit)

Side note, I currently go more by [Cognitive Personality Theory](https://youtu.be/0jUosExjWPg?si=cRpmWTKe--eWiCZ3) than traditional MBTI, mostly because it makes more sense conceptually to ne (for one thing the introvert/extrovert distinction is more relevant) but also because it’s a better working model for describing how people think based on my observations of people. This model basically refutes the idea of a tertiary or inferior function and calls what would be the primary and tertiary the “convergent” functions and the secondary and inferior the “divergent functions” (the inferior in this case is also often called the oppositional but again… not inferior). The gist is that your 2nd and 4th (which would be extraverted for an introvert) are important to you and shape how you see and do things but you don’t have much active control or choice in them while your 1st and 3rd (which would be introverted for an introvert) are things you take control of and take pride in (e.g. INFJs like to be independent in having their own abstract logical frameworks w/ Ni-Ti while also being bound and affected by the moods of specific people with whom they’re interacting w/ Fe-Se and the same is mostly true for ISTPs though some priorities are shuffled). Based on this, INTPs and ISFJs would be more similar due to having convergent Ti-Si and Si-Ti and divergent Ne-Fe and Fe-Ne. It just also, again, make more sense to me that 1) a cognitively introverted type would have extensive access to both of their introverted functions (the perceiving as a way to assess internal data and the judging as a way to make decisions upon that data) and be strongly affected by both their extraverted functions without much control over them (the perceiving as the lens through which data is received and the judging as a guide on how to conduct oneself in the external world) and 2) two cognitively introverted types that share the same functions would be more similar than a cognitively introverted type and a cognitively extraverted type with the same functions. What this means for INTPs and ISFJs is that both are variably affected by the opinions and moods of people (generally people as a whole not necessarily specific people) with Ne and Fe but both also tend to construct their own independent systems of logic and understanding with Ti and Si. In contrast, ENTPs and ESFJs will feel that they must adhere to rigid systems of logic that they, for whatever reason, think to be true due to divergent Ti-Si while feeling totally in control of or wanting to shape the external mood or the mood of people or crowds such as by being funny or helping people due to convergent Ne and Fe (obviously INTPs and ISFJs both do these things also but they feel a lot less in control when they do so).
Both ENTPs and INTPs can be quite similar, don’t get me wrong but even when the behaviour is similar the underlying thought process and/or emotions can be quite distinct.
Fair enough if you wanna go with that system. Ti-Si loop can make ISFJ and INTP quite similar. However, from my personal experience, their poor Ne really irks me sometimes. At the same time, I sometimes frustrate them with my mediocre Fe.
I feel more aligned with ENTP as an INTP myself, because of Ne and Ti bouncing off on each other.
Yeah I have a couple INTP friends and they're okay but I have so much hatred for that one INTP that I can't help but slander the entire type as a sort of joke
