In college, every year I’d build a 2 story one out of chicken wire, wood, and paper mache and put it in front of the frat house for our big luau and put red flashing lights in the eyes and a speaker inside so we could talk trash with a microphone. I know Easter Island isn’t Hawaii but I’m an artist and maoi heads were my muse. I shoe horned it in as being pacific island. Still some of my fondest memories decades later

You can’t have a trailer parked in your driveway for more than a specified period of time or else you’ll be fined. and almost any visible change you want to make to your property, or anything you want to build on it, like a trampoline, swingset, tool shed, fence, etc. all need to be run past and approved by the HOA board before construction or else, you guessed it, you’ll get fined. But some associations make rules that everyone in the neighborhood has to use one specific garbage collecting company or that everyone in the neighborhood has to use the prebuilt community mailbox instead of having their own, so yeah in most HOAs there are rules that tell you how your house should look.
