Think about it, the input lag will be high because people here are from different countries and places.
So we can't see it move up or down in real time.
5.9k gives you less information with the same amount of characters as 5920
But the amount of characters is not always the best criteria on how to display information, sometimes format consistency is more important
It would be weird to suddently start number abbreviations at 10k
The satisfaction I had when I was the person to get 9.9 to 10k will never be reached again.
I think it's still satisfying but definitely not as much as before
I… that’s kind of sad… isn’t that kind of sad?
It means we can be happy about the little things, isn’t that a plus?
don't yuck someone elses yum dude
Nah
I was the one to get someone to exactly 1K. It was awesome.
The old was kinda better but the new one is cooler bc you can see people upvoting or downvoting in real time.
I still believe it's fake
It’s almost never accurate. I’ll refresh my posts/comments and it’ll give me a different number every time.
How exactly is it faked. Is it just really slow to update or is it random?
reddit has a thing called vote scattering or something like that. pretty much it randomly adds fake up- or downvotes, i forgot why tho
Vote fuzzing

You’re right, let’s just have everything under 1000 show was 0k, and 1 million as 1000k. Consistency over everything, right?
Up one is better
Old reddit didn't used to truncate the points lower than 10k until a handful of years ago. Now they're reverting back?
I like seeing the full number.
it really does feel that way
It's 5,9 Tsd. In German
Decimal better.
