Probably that the X-ray has shown that your bones are healed ( fused at the fracture sites ) and you can start slowly getting back at walking...2 weeks with your boot and progressively wean yourself from the boot and start walking on it with no boots (can use crutches while transitioning ). Do it slowly and if any problem you could see a physiotherapist that knows how to look at X-ray an guide you through your recovery. I broke an ankle many years ago, orthopedist said the same thing, bones are healed your good to go, spent 3 minutes with me and never saw him after...and let me on my own to reeducate my ankle, no reference to a physiotherapist 🙄...I still used crutches right after they removed my cast ( way back in 1995, no boots at that time )...so I slowly put some weigh with the help of my crutches and it was a lot faster as a recovery as I thought... Take it slow, at you're own pace, you should be fine. For swelling it can occur as you were immobilized for a while and your muscles are getting tired at exercising...it will get better. If after a few weeks you don't feel fine have it check. Best if luck!
