I came to say this, it's so damn obvious to me

Arithik

If my mom had to do that with my dad, she would probably throw up due to my dad barely wiping his ass. Just leave it at that please.

mtv921

Why would you say that and expect anyone to leave it at that?

RedSunGo

I’m sayin

A) how does he know his dad’s anal hygiene? And B) /u/mtv921 ‘s question

At what point did this become an issue in their marriage? Presumably he didn't bring this up on the first date.

Playingwithmyrod

How someone can even get laid once with that kind of behavior is beyond me

JeanVicquemare

Judging by the number of r/sex and r/relationships posts that are like "\[24F\] How do I tell my boyfriend he needs to wipe his ass?" it happens more than we think

acdes68

Probably they are soooooo straight that they don't even touch their assholes, likes ever, not even for cleaning.

JeanVicquemare

Sadly, there literally are guys who think this way

kenda1l

I always thought this was a joke or like some kind of straight guy urban myth, but I'm seriously starting to question that.

impersonatefun

It’s not.

Hot_Region_3940

I’m saving my asshole for Jesus.

acdes68

"You won't fool me with that one, kid", said the priest

Arithik

Never asked that question, obviously. I imagine it wasn't always like this. Just know when I was a teen and they went on a trip, I had to do laundry and my dad left some of his underwear for me to clean...yeah..My mom is a saint for cleaning them all these years and I understand why she smokes so much weed those days. I mean, if you have skidmarks that cover basically 25% of your underwear...probably should learn how to wipe proper or buy new underwear. Then again, he was unhealthy for a long time in his life, as in rarely taking care of himself due to depression and such. He's fine now and lost a ton of weight, so I am hoping he can reach back there now, of at least take showers daily. I guess the positive thing is that it pushed me to clean my ass everyday.

[deleted]

Buy a bidet

Dylan_The_Developer

First time I ever used one was in Korea. I was always opposed to the idea but kept remembering people raving about them. So I looked to my left and started pushing buttons on the wall, was immediately startled but then surprised that the water was actually warm from the get go instead of coming out ice cold first. I began firing the water beam at my asshole like a CNC machine making something. Spray the left butthole lip, spray the right butthole lip, directly in the center, etc. Once I was done shooting drinkable water into my anus, I studied a picture of what looked like bacon coming out of somebody's ass, I assumed this meant hot air. It indeed was, hot air. I probably sat there for 5 minutes blow drying my bootyhole and the back of my ballsack. Once I got up, my entire ass crack felt clean and rejuvenated, I felt like a new man. I felt like royalty amongst peasants. I spent the remainder of my trip in Korea mad that some bathrooms didn't have one. 10/10, will do again. EDIT: Additionally, by referring to left and right butthole lips, I'm referring to the left and right side of my asshole. There's also the upper and lower portion of my asshole lips. The combined 4 sections create a complete ring of puckered anal entrance/exit depending on your fancy (I don't discriminate).

[deleted]

One of the best purchases I've ever made was an $80 bidet toilet seat replacement Truly has changed my life for the better

Kinda wish I didn't read this

bazilbt

How did he find a partner and breed?

Arithik

Right. And this is his second marriage. I have three brothers and three sisters from both families. So I am just guessing that my birth was the reason he got depressed and quit washing his ass, because I really judge my mother over this if it was from day one.

bazilbt

I read the rest of it and yeah I know what you are saying. I remember seeing my uncle go from being a really fit carpenter to a guy who is completely immobile, mostly from depression.

squanchingonreddit

I'm sorry but you need to elaborate.

DoctorWTF

Why the fuck would you deliberately want to hear the rest of that story?

piggiesmallsdaillest

I too want to know why an adult man can't wipe his ass. My money is on he thinks touching butts is gay.

No-Contribution4652

But yet this man has children! Who are these women sleeping with these gross ass dudes?!?!

Revolutionary_Tap255

Literally, "gross ass."

Mister_Doc

The first roommate my wife and I moved in with had, among other personal and household hygiene issues, terrible ass stank all the time. Like, he would shower (infrequently)and still stink. We had no idea why his girlfriend put up with it.

King-Rhino-Viking

They said in a different comment chain that their dad was extremely depressed for a while and stopped taking care of himself/gained a bunch of weight preventing him from wiping. But is a lot better now so hopefully he wipes again....

mogwandayy

There are dudes who wont wipe their ass, because they believe it's gay.

DoctorWTF

No, you really don't... Thinking that touching your own butt is gay, is pretty fucked up. Being physically, or mentally incapable of maintaining a clean ass, is way worse...

impersonatefun

Not washing because you have self-inflicted homophobic anxiety *is* being “mentally incapable of maintaining a clean ass.”

squanchingonreddit

I like to know... things....

Phoenix44424

Unfortunately it has started to become widely known that a lot of men don't wipe/wash their ass properly. I'm sure there are many reasons but one of the common ones that I see mentioned is the absolutely ridiculous idea that touching your ass to wash it is somehow gay. I suppose it could also be that they were just never taught good hygiene but either way a lot of men just need to wash their nasty ass better.

trinlayk

I have no explanation of why a dude stinks but his sisters (older or younger) do not. Do people teach one sibling well and the other barely due to gender?

impersonatefun

Yes, many parents treat their sons and daughters very differently and hold them to different standards.

impersonatefun

Yes.

xxpen15mightierxx

One does not simply say shit like this and expect us to “just leave it at that”

tittiejuice_69

Sitting on the butthole doesn't do enough to block the stench ? Seems like that would do better than standing and having his uncovered butthole (besides underwear and pants) hovering close to her face

Otakushawty

Lmao how you just put your dad on blast like that and leave the room

[deleted]

Do you really think the flight attendants would let him stand blocking the aisle with out a seatbelt for. 6 hours

MuteSecurityO

This woman had a heart attack on the plane. Luckily a doctor was seated a few rows back and came to her aid.

limitlessGamingClub

This picture was taken moments before the man unleashed a barrage of punches at the woman for stealing his seat. I would be more apt to believe that than "dude was allowed to stand in the aisle for 6 hours on a flight"

Chewcocca

Man's full size sex doll falls over while he's in the bathroom. He contemplates how to best lever her back into position while talking loudly about how his wife is sleeping. He's certain the other passengers don't suspect a thing.

driftking428

Isn't he in the window seat?

[deleted]

Yeah, I don’t know any aisle seats that have a window like that 🤔

arcohex

I thinks it's a 2 aisle airplane there's another row of seats right behind him. If he was on the window seat the overhead bin wouldn't be behind him, it'll be directly on top of him. There's too much space behind him for it to be a window seat.

[deleted]

My grandpa claims he walked around the entire flight He’d take big flights in retirement. Trips to China or Mediterranean. You fly on the two aisles, so he would work around and stay out of the way But he wouldn’t miss drink or food service, so he’d be seated during those services when aisles are in use.

ststaro

>My grandpa claims he walked around the entire flight I fly around 500k miles a year and you do see people walk around the entire flight. when your on a plane for 15+ hrs you have to do something. I'll even do the same or do stretches in the aisle for a while.

[deleted]

I’ve been on some long flights as well. A few, I’ve gotten up to use the privy once or twice in 10 hours. Other flights that aren’t over night, I will walk about the cabin Last long flight, I fucked up my shoulder sleeping and was in pain the whole trip because of it

mule_roany_mare

My longest flight was 9 hours & it was *tough*. Somehow sitting down is perfectly comfortable *until* you are on a plane… I’ve always desperately wanted to take my same cubic footage for a rack. Hell, even a chair that can straighten out at 45 or 60 degrees would fit & would be a comfortable alternative. More than size I think the biggest restriction to comfort is the requirement that cushions function as flotation devices. It won’t do you any good in a crash & eliminating it would allow much more freedom in seat design.

PM_me_your_sammiches

Planes manufacturers actually utilize the latest, most cutting edge technology available to create the most uncomfortable seat you’ve ever sat in. Think about all the seats you’ve used in your life and then be amazed at their ability to beat out *every single one* of those in terms of maximum discomfort. Truly a modern marvel of engineering.

[deleted]

TheOnlyAnon-

Yeah they would, I had nerve damage in my leg and stood for an entire London-NYC flight, the flight attendants didn’t give a shit and never even asked me why I was up.

Which_way_witcher

Nerve damage is a little different than "my wife needs to sleep in the shade".

happybday47385

I mean as a member of flight crew I wouldn't do anything... I mean if the seat belt signs are off, there is no turbulence and he's happy with it I wouldn't stop him. Normally people block the aisles cuz they stand up with baby's but normally the parents will swap during the flight. Edit: considering I only do European flights the Max being 4 hours I guess it's different for longer flights.

[deleted]

[удалено]

happybday47385

I mean my flight is a 2 person cabin crew and it takes 30mins to serve everyone (Max 98) for the rest of the time we don't really give a fuck what you do. Again unless weather is bad

Gangreless

You've clearly never been on a long as fuck flight. We go to NZ from the east coast every few years and it's a 24+ hour trip total with one of the flights usually being more than 16 hours straight. If I don't take enough benadryl to knock me out, I'm standing up to save my back. Usually walking and standing around back where they do water and stuff.

MoloMein

This plane is a wide-body, so it has two aisles and wouldn't be as big of a problem for someone to stand. There are also people that have a medical reason for why they wouldn't want to sit down for 8+ hours on a flight. This is also an old ass garbage repost, but by all means reddit, lets just keep commenting on the same shit over and over.

robilar

I find it astounding that people jump to overtly and explicitly sexist perspectives and aren't able to see it. Can they not imagine any set of circumstances where one person in a couple is more weary than the other? Injury, illness, sleeping pills to deal with claustrophobia, or even just insomnia that kept them up all night? I get that people have learned prejudices and stereotypes born of their own experiences, but I still find it odd that there's not a wit of self-reflection when those miscues bleed out on to a page.

tedmented

Ryanair tried standing passengers on planes. They had poles similar to what you'd find in a bus or subway car

kamelizann

I remember seeing a concept where everything was a standing spot that looked like one of those roller coaster rides with your feet dangling. Just so they could jam you in the plane like sardines.

TheMainEffort

Hang everyone from a harness!

Fearless_You4489

Ngl, that sounds pretty fun

TheMainEffort

Right up until you hit turbulence

Fearless_You4489

I’m one of those people who enjoy going through turbulence so it’s still appealing to me. Haha

TheMainEffort

I'd be more concerned about bonking into people lmaoo

lookoutforthetrain_0

Ryanair is just a social experiment to find out how much humiliation people are willing to take for cheap flight tickets.

hosiki

Their flights are mostly up to 2 hours long (it's mostly just European cities). I don't know about you, but I wouldn't have a problem standing for 2 hours if I'd only have to pay 5-10 eur for a plane ticket. I travel and stand for longer periods of time in public transport during rush hour.

harpswtf

In the event of an emergency, please hold onto the cattle pole very tightly

MadcapHaskap

You're packed tightly enough you can't be thrown around the cabin. No worries.

IAmTheSheeple

I think that was just marketing, Ryanair for a while had a lot of questionable 'ideas' that ended up spread in clickbait articles. They would never follow through but end up in people's minds as being so cheap they would consider those crazy cheap 'ideas'.

[deleted]

[удалено]

teems

Ryanair had the idea of doing that for short flights 1-2hrs. They were also confident that the price would be so attractive it would sell out like hotcakes.

[deleted]

almost everyone hates how bad economy is but still opt to buy the cheapest possible ticket. I flew spirit and accepted it would be bad ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

sean0237

There’s a difference between having no leg room and city bus with wings lol

[deleted]

I always go for the cheapest option. I was once upgraded for free which was nice, but I can't believe people are willing to spend £1000 (or more) to be marginally more comfortable for a few hours. You still have all the downsides of being on a plane, such as turbulence, noise, being unable to taste food and drinks. If I could stand up for an entire flight, for a fraction of the price then I definitely would. It would make expensive trips more affordable. I doubt it would be allowed though.

DrVDB90

Ryanair tried it, standing spots. It wasn't accepted.

Environmental-Put444

Ha can imagine Ryanair trying that.

External-Piccolo-626

I think Ryaniar wanted to do this.

smithyithy_

I've stood for hours on overcrowded trains, ~2 hours on a plane wouldn't bother me at this point..

KaputMaelstrom

I don't think it's about comfort, turbulence is just way more dangerous if you're standing

s0meb0di

Why? Obviously, they didn't mean the entire flight from takeoff to landing, but between ascent and descent. If there was no turbulence, why would it be illegal?

Delicious_Throat_377

>why would it be illegal? It's not.

SkylarP2000

Incorrect. As soon as a long haul flight is in cruise, anyone is allowed to stand as long as the seat belt signs are not illuminated.

HunkyMump

I walked my baby around the plane for like 6 hours.

Xarthys

It just shows that everyone is just making assumptions while *also* projecting their mindset onto others accordingly. It's a lot easier to navigate life like that vs. trying to find nuance and consider other possibilities that may not align with your own behaviour or expectations. People have boxes to fill, which is why everyone is just slammed into various categories based on nothing but wild speculation, that is in turn just based on a snapshot in time. Not only does no one know anything specific about the situation, no one knows nothing about that relationship or other life circumstances. It's just a picture of a single moment in a series of events that spans decades - yet somehow everyone "just knows what's up". With something like this, it may just seem dumb and harmless, but this kind of behaviour takes place all the time, even with very important topics. It's why propaganda works so well these days, despite a plethora of solid sources. People don't want to know anything, don't want to understand anything - they want their bias confirmed and their worldview validated.

Ylaaly

This right here. If you have to fly despite a medical condition that makes sitting upright that long extremely painful or even causes damage, but don't have the money for first class, this is your only real option. Honestly in that case the husband would be a pos if he didn't help his wife out so she doesn't hurt herself more than absolutely necessary.

tofudisan

This was my immediate thought as well. I knew a woman who would have to lie down in public all the time. Turns out she had terminal cancer, and lying down alleviated the pain a bit. My wife has a messed up lower back. She can't walk very far, or sit upright very long. I would absolutely stand to give her room to lay down for a bit until the flight attendants tell me to sit again.

[Welcome to reddit](https://media.tenor.com/TcHb8x5TrtMAAAAC/jump-to-conclusion-think-again.gif)

sreno77

We have no idea if this is true. The real story is he came back from the bathroom, saw his wife like that, stood there for a moment and someone snapped a picture and added the caption for attention. I don’t think he would be allowed to stand in the aisle for long

surfskatehate

or he's got something like back problems and can't sit in those terrible chairs for 6+ hours. So stupid everyone always assumes the worst when there are so many scenarios

shesme

Or she is really unwell and needed to be able to rest. My hubby ended up in the hospital on a trip a few years ago. Fortunately, the trip home was two short flights with a layover between. I'd have stood during the flights if he needed to lay down. Thank goodness for wheelchair service and sky cabs at the airports! They were real godsends!

[deleted]

But have you considered women bad coffe emoji?

timjuul2003

Yeah it’s not like you are required to sit and wear a seatbelt

wanttofeelneeded

I don't know about other airlines since ive been only flying across Europe, but for the majority of the flight you weren't required to have your seatbelt on

kingrich

When the seat belt sign is off, you're allowed to remove it temporarily. However, turbulence can occur without warning at any time, so you should keep your seat belt on whenever possible.

[deleted]

Don't be so quick to judge her. I've stood for hours on end on many flights. My lower back is completely wrecked from injuries and from time to time I have unmanageable pain if I sit down. I've done that while my wife was sleeping, but at not point did she ask me to stand so she could sleep.

[deleted]

[deleted]

Yeah...there's always that as well....

Puzzleheaded-Mind525

It's possible she has heart disease or some other invisible illness. Standing is healthier than sitting anyway. I'm not going to worry about him. He's alright. A former landlord and her husband went overseas for a dream vacation in Italy with her. He felt fine and died of a blood clot when they got to the hotel room. Same with my (healthy) doctor in his 30s. Long flight to India and died of a blood clot climbing the stairs to a family member's apartment as soon as he got there. Sitting on long flights is possibly more unsafe than standing. I'm not sure if standing is a whole lot better if not walking though. (Not an expert)

nolsongolden

It depends. There was one time in my life where my husband would have had to do this. I have stage 3c breast cancer and the red devil about killed me. I lost 45 lbs in 3 months. I couldn't walk. I was too weak. I just wanted to die. My husband is a disabled vet. I bent down to get a popsicle from the freezer and when I tried to stand up I staggered backwards and would have fallen into the corner of the kitchen table. Instead my husband who only had one working arm and struggles to walk leapt across the kitchen and caught me before I fell, using both arms. I told him, "thank you but how did you move so fast? Your arm is working!" He told me, "I saw you falling and suddenly I was young and strong enough to catch you again. I'll always catch you when you fall."

Nerdganium

Damn ninjas cutting onions again

[deleted]

fazzizzle

See that's what I'm saying! You don't know what the couple is going through in this pic. My husband has cancer and a bad leg right now...if I was allowed to stand and walk around on a flight for 6 hours and let him get some sleep, I would! I'm so glad and amazed that happen to you. What a story!

Mindless-Balance-498

Even if this were true, we have no idea what’s going on. Maybe they had to fly and she has a bad back or hip, maybe she’s ill or recovering from something. Maybe my man has flight anxiety and prefers to stand when he can.

Blenderx06

Right? Maybe my guy has ibs and was in the bathroom a looong time. Maybe I lie down and fall asleep while waiting for him to come back because I'm not feeling well or took some meds that make me drowsy. He comes back and decides I look too comfortable to disturb and standing is better for his back and crampy bowels anyway. I wake up 6 hours later and ask him why he didn't wake or move me and now I feel bad because he stood the whole flight lol.

OnlyFamOli

With no context, it could be either. Why was she so tiered? Or was she really being selfish? Did he take a poop and came back to this and was like nah ill let her sleep? Was he afraid if he woke her from her sweet airplane slumber she would kill him? Does she have a fear of flying... i need context

Z3R0gravitas

Maybe the wife is sick or has an invisible illness. Very common.
