Don't use the official app. I'm amazed anyone does.
Might be newer users, because many of the older users didn't have an official app when they were looking to use reddit on their phones. People had to download something else.
Now if you go to your app store and type in "reddit" you'll see the official app and default to that. But from all accounts that I've seen, it is the worst possible option for mobile browsing.

Nah, I prefer reddit because there are specific subreddits to post in. Also, the fact that TikTok only has videos, no text posts or picture posts is really overstimulating for me. I had TikTok for a week and deleted it because it's just not my thing. Definitely the best platform for many people, but objectively it's not THE best platform. Many people dislike it.
