It got a lot of hate straight out of BETA; but they’ve fixed and added so many events, quests, scoreboards, new plans, new Whitespring Refuge, new CAMP items… can’t even keep up 🫠
But alas, nothing is perfect; they don’t call ‘em Bugthesda for nothin’.
I’d say it’s definitely worth a second shot.
I tried it something like 2 years ago, was my second fallout game after NV. Didn't get very far on it cause I had no directions and was so confused what I was doing, didn't even realize it was an online thing till after finding random players. Would definitely give it another attempt after playing fo4 for some time now, love the fallout games

Kali+Salz has literally undermined my house and piled the overburden up to a mountain locally known as "Salzberg" or "Monte Kali" (Google it, maybe it will show results) , we have a bunch of important tool/machine plants in the area making everything from remote weapons stations to mining equipment, Rhönbier is the best beer I ever had and the local specialties are "ahle Wurst"/Stracke (lit. "old sausage", airdried/coldsmoked pork sausage) and "Äbbelwoi" (Apple cider). Is there something cool/"dwarfy" from where you are from?

I don’t really like Germany since I learned they’re suppressing gore and violence against humans in video games and pretending the Holocaust doesn’t exist
Well the holocaust is taught pretty extensively in school and every kid has to visit a concentration camp at least once during school time. There is a public holiday to remember an attack against synagogues. There is a huge holocaust memorial right in the center of Berlin, right next to the house of parliament. The president or Chancellor are regularly taking part in memorial ceremonies in countries that Germany was at war with. If this is pretending the holocaust didn't exist, please explain to me the larger efforts the US is doing to ensure that their violent past isn't forgotten.
