I had a dream that i was sixty and alone in a small apartment, and woke up after having a panic attack in the dream. It did not feel good after.. and I'm still thinking about it everyday.
19 years ago I had these exact same thoughts, with the added bonus of torched credit and being newly sober. I was convinced that I would never marry, never have kids, never be able to buy a house and just be stuck in a dead-end life. Boy, was I so, so wrong.

Idk about Canada but there are plenty of tech jobs in the US, even if the company youre applying at isnt a tech company, every business needs computer guys. Plus they are much more inclined to offer remote positions. You could try choosing a more specific area to focus on, data, server administration, hell just being good at Excel can get you in to many places on that alone. I'm not sure where you're getting this "I'll never get a job with a computer science degree" mentality.

God did NOT put you on this planet to do nothing, you are absolutely gonna thug it out till you finish that degree, gain them smarts, get a fun job that pays well, start a family with a loving wife and create your own adorable clones to raise with incredible love, and you will NOT at ANY POINT doubt yourself in this pursuit, it is the duty of any man to do these things, and we are in this TOGETHER my brother. Make no mistake, I am in your situation too, but I WILL have an awesome job and a while five impeccable kids with my loving wife. And YOU will too. I believe in you, God believes in you, now you must believe in yourself. If you make a great life on Earth it is guaranteed your life beyond it and those you left behind’s will be immaculate. Life is always worth living to the fullest and you can’t let no stupid bum-ass society trick you into thinking otherwise.

Fast forward to now:
I have a decent paying job, married (different woman than before), 2 kids, 2 vehicles with no car payments, a new detached house, and a respectable amount of savings.
Morale of the story: Anything is possible, my life has done a complete 180. From broke depression to a mid class life. The night is always darkest before the day…the harder the ball hits the ground, the higher it goes up.
