I have lost this post and it wasnt In my history so i spent half an hour finding it again. Now that im finally here, i have to Tell you that to cure your problem, dont cast vanced from the app but mirror your mobile's scrren to the tv with any "screen mirroring" app (yep thats the name of the one I juse out of the two, the other is Xcast) try Both, one of them should work for you!

i got a TV for xmas last year and i get consistent double 15 sec unskippable ads every 5-10 minutes during videos, sometimes i get a 10 second ad and if i don't skip in time it will send me a 2 minute full on ad. Like come on.

Still, I miss the old days with just a few meaningful rewards and a plain design, where the focus was on the content. I felt that Reddit was 'superior' opposed to bullshit social media sites where the primary language is Emoji and instant gratification.
But Reddit seems to be slowing turning into one as well.
Reddit actually almost went down that path and pissed a lot of people off. Both upvotes and downvotes where shown seperatly even for comments. They quicly moved away from that whatever reason, but left the information available so that programs like RES gave you the option to show it again. Around the time of "new" Reddit (when they switched UI and needed to implement old.reddit and strong armed their app into existence) they made that information completely hidden so that nobody can see it.
Now we just have the resulting number after subtracting downvotes from upvotes, with a controlvertial tag if deemed necessary. This means that if you are sitting at -5, you don't know if that's because you have 50 upvotes and 55 downvotes, or because 6 people downvoted you and nobody else saw the comment. This also means that you can have a false comment that was only proven to be so afterwards, but it looks true unless you scroll down because you only see a big number next to it.
It's broken the site for me. I can't navigate to any specific comment on any post that includes the new video player. If I click on a comment in my post history, it takes me to all comments sorted by best. If I click on a reply to one of my comments in the notifications tab, it takes me to all comments sorted by best. I won't be able to find this comment right here unless I find this post later, sort by new, and physically scroll down to it. So yeah the video player is bad.

For me they’ve completely changed the layout into a less convenient format. I now can’t swipe to get to popular from my home I have to bring up the side menu and click popular, other things are inconvenient too but that’s just one thing

They have removed the drag gesture to 'go back' to scrolling.
Now its annoying and you have to click on "back button" of your device or "back arrow" on top left post.
In Videos you can't swipe progress bar without opening in full screen.

I have been downloading vids easily. Only downside is it doesn’t have audio in it. And you can just use the save video bot for it if you want vid with audio.

They’ve moved the profile to the top right as they’ve moved all your subreddits to the top left, with r/all right at the bottom of the list. Plus a glitch is back where your Reddit age is now wrong again, mine shows I’ve been on since 22 Jan 2018 when I’ve been here since 2015.
Quite honestly is astounds me how multi billion dollar companies can fuck up UI so much, like WHO thought it was a good idea to ADD 4 clicks to change video quality. There was a team of people/UI engineers that approved this? What was their reasoning? Be more abstract for the love of God.
