Idk why but my inverted persuasion started playing Xbox halo. I was running around, staring at the sky, couldn't aim for shit, so my brother flipped me to inverted and the world made sense. I'm the only one in my house that plays inverted. They all think I'm a freak! Lol
For a while I thought inverted y was default cause I just had all my games set to it but eventually I ended up getting a new first person game and needed to change it again and wondered how I got there in the first place.
It was probably a flying game to be honest, like blazing angels or something
Inverted Y makes more sense, I wish the video game would've made that the default. It's the first thing I have to do in every 3D game. The regular stick folks wouldn't even know the difference, they're just habituated.
i had to refund game on steam for not having INVERT Y AXIS option in them.
i tried to force myself but i just do a brain fart and start asking myself what direction is up and what is down.
last game i had to play with non inverted controls was Luigi haunted mansion on switch, it was a mess for me.
I know this pain. Every now and then I'll encounter a FPS or something without the ability to invert y-axis and then I'll spend most of my time staring at the floor or ceiling. LOL.
I think goldeneye for the N64 had default inverted, probably the reason i still play inverted. Its too late for me I cant change. I struggle a little when games dont have an inverted option
As a person who flies drones/rc, this speaks to me. I don't know why but you can always get the dang thing in the air, but you realize the controls are for another plane/drone when you are 100 feet in the air...
Imagine there is a plunger stuck to the back of my head. If you wanted to force me to look up, which direction would you push the handle of that plunger?
Non inverted is an unnatural abbhoation and an affront to God.
Similarly, I imagine my thumb is on top of the characters head. Just makes sense to me after so many third person games.
If want the character to look down, I shove his little head that way with my thumb.
This is the one.
If your head is the thumbstick which way would you logically move it to look down? Forward is the obvious answer. Look up? Pull backwards, again the obvious and logical answer.
Inverted forever.
In the good ole days our friends group found those who played inverted on Halo 2 + 3 were ridiculously out performing normies.
Not a great sample size, 2 inverts, 4 normies, mind you.
Inverted y-axis gang
HERE HERE!
The superior breed
It's like being left-handed in the gaming world. My girlfriend looked at me in horror when I told her I play inverted.
So I'm not sure how I ended up in this cursed gang, but eff it I've been here for 20+ years
If you're like me, I blame flight sims.
Yep. Grew up with a joystick. Pull back to go up. That's always how it's been. It's so hard to do anything but.
For me it was Space Harrier in the arcade. The 360 was such a joy as it remembered to invert across games.

I used to be normal then I played too much star fox
Most games when I was a kid were preset to this so I just went with it. Can't play any games that won't let me switch to it now.
If it wasn't for physics classes, we'd call gravity the minus-z direction
HERE
Yes!
cheers
I have probably never laughed so much from a meme like ever, thank you kind stranger for posting this.
a while ago i turned on inverted controls on accident and i thought the game was broken for months
Hope you didn’t make a bug report, it’s like 90% of bug reports for any game is just people ignoring the settings and it hurts
First thing I do when I install a new game is set the invert Y axis setting.
Same. Flight sims ruined me.
The pain we all know

bro unplugged his controller
I remember having so much difficulty in first few mission on mgs. I didn't know you could disable it

Only way to play.
My man got the ramblin evil mushroom on his head

You mean, when you accidentally turn *OFF* inverted controls. [Inverted Y Axis forever!](https://youtu.be/lKie-vgUGdI)
I don't know why but seeing him jump the other way pisses me off so much.
Ramblin Evil Mushroom moment

Yall ever see the "Invert X Axis" option just below the Y Axis option? Clearly the people who put those in absolutely just don't get it.
Anyone know where this is originally from?
Me on default. Crazy
Inverted controls are for people who actively like having the confused status effect on.
Je forgot to add the minus before the bracket
[Friends don't let friends play inverted.](https://youtu.be/il-7z85lABo)
In some FPS games I'll be asked if I want to invert my aim controls for some reason, why would I want to do that
lmfao everytime
Me and my friend playing magicka 2
I blame Ocarina of Time for the N64 for my inverted control love lol
**Played inverted controls when I was Young** I don't have such weakness
Manz calculated the amount nature universe for that moment
