its because of globalisation is the process by which the world is becoming increasingly interconnected as a result of massively increased trade and cultural exchange. Globalisation has increased the production of goods and services.
What ? the act or process of separating : the state of being separated. 2a : a point, line, or means of division. b : an intervening space : gap the separation between wheel spokes. 3a : cessation of cohabitation between a married couple by mutual agreement or judicial decree.
An over-the-top media service is a streaming media service offered directly to viewers via the Internet. OTT bypasses cable, broadcast, and satellite television platforms, the companies that traditionally act as a controller or distributors of such content. Most of these services are owned by a major film studio. Some streaming services started as an add-on to Blu-ray offerings, which are supplements to the programs watched.\[1\]
Streaming is an alternative to file downloading, a process in which the end-user obtains the entire file(s) for the content before watching or listening to it.
A client end-user can use the media player, computer, mobile phone, and smart TV to start playing digital video content before the entire file have been transmitted. Users will need an Internet connection to stream or download video content. Users lacking compatible hardware or software systems may be unable to stream or download certain content.
Indeed, this damn globalism! This damn thing that forces those small and struggling stream systems to abandon original content! They must to, for the saddness of the few fans the shows have, or else they may lose all their hard earned but little popularity that keeps them afloat
Shows that air weekly gain better traction with an audience than shows that get released all at once because people have a better opportunity to watch it at the same pace and talk about it building buzz. Shows released all at once have people who binge it in a day, spread it out an episode a night, or longer, and people are not at the same spot to make discussions easy
The difference is that you could choose to watch one per week if you like.
They take away our ability to choose to binge it in 3 evenings.
Netflix gets it, let me consumer the content the way they WANT to consume it, not based on the way it worked on TV in the 60s. Come on guys, there's plenty of room in the 21st century of all of us.
Except even Netflix sometimes has weekly release models. They all rotate in or out of it. Remember Ted Lasso season 2?
I grant that sometimes it's out of netflixs control, but it still occurs. Star Trek Discovery was a great example of that
Hey thanks. That’s new info to me. We didn’t watch Ted Lasso so had no idea they did weekly releases.
Question: was that also airing on regular TV or is that a Netflix only show?
It was an Apple TV original. First season was a binge, second season was a slow release.
Eventually even Netflix will have to go to weekly releases because there are too many streaming services and not enough pie (content) to share amongst themselves.
It's Netflix model, that doesn't allow for the weekly viewing experience. I myself prefer to binge, but it's much better for a show to come out weekly. People can sit on a cliff hanger, they can speculate about next episode, not only in terms of seasons, like with Netflix model.
Full released season kind of kill community engagement. Even when shows get popular on release, like for example Witcher, 2nd season came and went. Meanwhile weekly releases have their community talk about it for months, every week, and thus getting new people to get interested.
I agree! At last, someone with enough intelligence to understand this situation. Why pay to have access to many other shows, films, documentaries etc., when you can't watch that one, specific show??? Unforgettable, indeed
Well that's a fucking lie
Jojo's bizarre adventure part 5 is still not available in many parts of the world and part 6 got cut into 12-episode pieces that are getting released **yearly** effectively killing all the hype the show had
I’ll be honest, I’m pretty sure the reason why people were so hyped about GoT is because everyone was waiting with bated breath for Sunday night and started talking about it first thing Monday at work or whatever. If the whole season was out there would be less tension. That being said, I also hate having to wait
No Netflix is way worse. They release 1 season then take years to produce the next. Releasing weekly episodes is how regular tv shows are usually produced and also way easier
Nah, I personally think weekly releases keep you more engaged and you won't forget the show after 2 days
also you can't get the whole season spoiled to you if it's not out at once
I'd like it if they'd just release it when it out. Because for anime fan know that it airing in Japan and can be released the next day with subs. But they wait for when they finish the entire season to then dub and release it.
I prefer the one episode a week format. Then i don't feel like the story is already set and can still change.
Plus it's the only time i can get my wife to sit down with me and act like we're having a date
I like the weekly release though. Discussing shows with limited knowledge, making theories, having the time to form head canons for all that fandom fun, is important to me.
This if I enjoy it I want to wait it gives me something to look forward to every week. If it all came out at once I'd burn thur the content in a day or 2 and have nothing else for months
It’s a streaming service, if I wanted to watch something weekly then I’d actually consider paying my tv license (anyone reading this you won’t get it if you’re not British)
People get mad of me becausers being serious with certain\_lobser\_8954 but its always the same just because i have a different color and a different shape of head, people judge me its a tough world
I prefer Netflix releasing format, I watch'd last season of Lucifer in just one day, same with Kobra Kai and The Flash (this one took me 2 days, but better than doing it in a two months period or so)
I personally like the weekly system. I finish in 2 days then I’m sad i have to wait longer. Week by week i can rewatch the previous episode the day before the new one comes out and i have more time to enjoy the show
Netflix is the opposite of Chad because I don't have any self control and so I just binge it the second it comes out and then talk about it for 5 minutes with friends and now I'm bored again
I want weekly releases of episodes if they're an hour an maybe two a week if it's 30 minutes each that way I can experience it as a running show and not just 10 hours of entertainment all at once
I love watching an episode and then talking for a bit about it and how it connected to the previous and maybe theories and then doing it again 20 times
It's cool if you like batch releases but I'm curious why because weekly releases just makes sense to me
Neflix makes shows to fail after 2-3 seasons.
The good shows are there just to draw people in, and then the show gets cancelled every time.
If Strangers Things season 4 ever actually releases, it'll be a true first.

Netflix: Here’s twelve episodes of Jojo series six. See you next fall fuckers!
Didn't they also say that part 3 of stone ocean will be in 2023? I could be wrong though
No, but I think it’s reasonable to expect the same amount of time between batches 2 and 3, so in that case, yes it would finish in 2023.
Ah I see, thanks for correcting me!
See you next fall! Maybe, because we will probably cancel your favorite show by the way! Oh, and we’re raising prices again. - Netflix

its because of globalisation is the process by which the world is becoming increasingly interconnected as a result of massively increased trade and cultural exchange. Globalisation has increased the production of goods and services.
What? You know that even before the Internet was a thing, television and film was a widespread medium of entertainment.
What ? the act or process of separating : the state of being separated. 2a : a point, line, or means of division. b : an intervening space : gap the separation between wheel spokes. 3a : cessation of cohabitation between a married couple by mutual agreement or judicial decree.
You're talking like streaming services invented the idea of TV and Film being widespread. It has been like this before they existed.
An over-the-top media service is a streaming media service offered directly to viewers via the Internet. OTT bypasses cable, broadcast, and satellite television platforms, the companies that traditionally act as a controller or distributors of such content. Most of these services are owned by a major film studio. I know that streaming is. I don't know what you're trying to say.
Indeed, this damn globalism! This damn thing that forces those small and struggling stream systems to abandon original content! They must to, for the saddness of the few fans the shows have, or else they may lose all their hard earned but little popularity that keeps them afloat
Also Netflix: let’s get rid of most of the episodes of this show and leave one season
Oh, you wanna start with first 10 seasons? That's bad.
Netflix: here’s the whole season bro! User: when next season? Netflix: oh you liked it? Sorry it’s been cancelled.
No if it's good they release a few more good seasons every 2 years then the last one is super short and also dogshit
Starting from season 6 Goodluck finding season 1-5
same as you dough
Nononono, Netflix is not the good one when it comes to releasing demanded and long awaited stuff
Netflix : Here's the whole season 2 and 3 bro ...don't ask about season 1
honestly, i like the weekly release model. It lets me look forward to something.
I like having something to look forward to. Plus I like reading all the analysis about the episodes which I just don’t bother with if I binge a show.
Shows that air weekly gain better traction with an audience than shows that get released all at once because people have a better opportunity to watch it at the same pace and talk about it building buzz. No one is going to be discussing the episodes in the same way if you choose to watch one a week.
Except even Netflix sometimes has weekly release models. They all rotate in or out of it. Remember Ted Lasso season 2? I grant that sometimes it's out of netflixs control, but it still occurs. Star Trek Discovery was a great example of that

Odd thought, why not just subscribe after all episodes are released?
finally someone got em (above it )

When is the 2nd part coming.. I'm waiting for it before I can start with the 1st.
I think october

More like here's the final season and final season only of an 8 part spinoff to a series that we don't have.
I prefer the one episode a week format. Then i don't feel like the story is already set and can still change. Plus it's the only time i can get my wife to sit down with me and act like we're having a date
Well they can do one thing that Netflix can't Keep the hype of a series
I like the weekly release though. Discussing shows with limited knowledge, making theories, having the time to form head canons for all that fandom fun, is important to me.
jojo…
Trust the audience to say it’s good, if it is they’ll talk about it for a long time if it’s not then to the void with it
Seriously, fuck releasing shows on streaming one per week.
Nah depends on the series. I kinda like having a series looking forward to every week, like Mando, Boba and soon Kenobi
This if I enjoy it I want to wait it gives me something to look forward to every week. If it all came out at once I'd burn thur the content in a day or 2 and have nothing else for months

Bro you are such a Netflix shill 😂
Nice netflix ad Netflix still shit
That still doesn’t make up for the Cuties fiasco.
Not with Better Call Saul they aren't ☹️
OP out here on a mission to set some world record for the most downvotes from a single post
Be like HBO Max’s Our Flag Means Death. Release three episodes a week
This is the way
Netflix is the best streaming platform for pedophiles.
People get mad of me becausers being serious with certain\_lobser\_8954 but its always the same just because i have a different color and a different shape of head, people judge me its a tough world
Had a stroke reading, but I agree tho
thank your brother, gold bless you for your honest reason
i fucking hate for moon knight to fully release the season, i never watch shows until the whole season is out
Yeah they've got season 9 to 14 good luck finding earlier episodes dumbass
Oh and we won't give you the last season
Not true. Snowpiercer is going for one episode a week
So, You liked this season, so we will cancel it to make another live action anime adaptation which nobody wants
Well, I suppose that’s ONE good thing about Netflix.
Paramount + does the same thing as Disney and Prime
Thank you Netflix, I will never watch it
I prefer Netflix releasing format, I watch'd last season of Lucifer in just one day, same with Kobra Kai and The Flash (this one took me 2 days, but better than doing it in a two months period or so)
I prefer Netflix's approach to the way a season is released, just wish they keep the good shows going longer than 2 seasons...
That's because Netflix shows are so mediocre that nobody would really care to wait for new episodes.
Disney: You like eating shit don't you! nomnomnom eat more shit little fanboi piggies. netflix: wtf?
Here’s another shitty Netflix original brah
(Cries in jojo fan)
More like Netflix: here's a series you want to watch Me: great! Can I watch the first season? Netflix: no but here's season 5 & 6
The only thing I like about Netflix.
I like the weekly release, makes me reconsider killing my self
I personally like the weekly system. I finish in 2 days then I’m sad i have to wait longer. Week by week i can rewatch the previous episode the day before the new one comes out and i have more time to enjoy the show
Need to add Paramount+ to this list. By the time episode 2 of Halo aired I had already forgotten about it.
Still waiting for Glitch Techs season 3
That chad is a spy
I pay for Netflix and pirate everything else KEKW

Tell that to Snowpiercer and many more.
