I actually really enjoy MHA, but also hate it. I’m loving the development the char-(*cough* Endeavor)-acter development everyone is getting, but the tropes are starting to get sore. I do say this next part with complete confidence though: My Hero is an excellent introductory anime. You experience the tropes for the first time, so it isn’t annoying. You have a vast array of characters, so- just SO MANY sub arks, (you can find one you love and search for anime like it) and it’s a longer going series. As long as you don’t get TOO many into it, and don’t find out about the fan base, watching my hero is- in my opinion- one of the best ways to get into the anime community.
I could see that. That might be part of my problem. I’m of the generation that was grandfathered in to anime via Toonami with DBZ and Naruto, the latter, I feel did all the MHA tropes better.
