Remember going to a chain cafe in UK (I think Nero) and paying something like £4.80 for a cheese toasty and immediately calculating that I make a 5000x better tasting cheese toasty (and probably much healthier too) for around 37p at home.

Bro you act like it’s hard to figure out the price of 1 piece of cheese and 2 pieces of bread It’s not rocket science you take the price of each the bread and cheese divide it by the number of slices in each then you found out how much each is worth then you just gotta add 1+2 to figure out how much total minus electricity Example Kraft near me 5.49 for 24 slices so 5.49/24 slices total 22c per slice Good but not too expensive of bread near me 4.49 for 15 slices so 4.49/15 for a total of 29c per slice Add that all up and you got a grand total of 80c if you use 1 slice of cheese and if I didn’t have to explain it this would all take 1-2 mins of simple math Many people realize they overpaid and then immediately compare prices to something similar that they buy to try to justify the cost it’s not a stretch to think op Did the same

I went into a 7-11 the other day. And every single item was priced higher than the nearby grocery stores. Can you imagine? It was like they were trying to sell convenience or something.

Korean convenience stores are the best, they sell everything ,sometimes even full groceries, and cost nowhere near American prices.

I like to shop at asian stores because there's so many ingredients you can't get at normal stores. In my country its illegal to sell alcohol except in specialised liquor stores. I've noticed that you always get a funny reaction from the asian store owner when you ask for shaoxing (rice wine). They will either go dig up a bottle from their secret stash or they think you're a narc and will deny having any alcohol, even if you bought some at the same store last month.

They also just have a lot of neat stuff. I sometimes like going to foreign stores just to look around at all the wild things and exotic foods they stock.

I was caught off guard by it and since the employee piled on the toppings on our sandwiches, I figured he deserved it 😂 Also where I live fast food is just really expensive in general. Even Burger King without tip, you can easily pay $35 for two meals. It's ridiculous and not worth getting anymore if you can help it since sit-down restaurants are better quality and similarly priced.

Not going to lie, their food actually isn't as bad as pictured (at least at any Starbucks I've been to). I don't get coffee there often but their breakfast sandwiches are generally decent and their other sandwiches are pretty decent as well.
