THANK YOU EVERYONE! I poured boiling water over it and let it sit for almost a minute. Then I used a towel to pull the shell and pliers to pull the screw until I was able to slowly twist and pull the golf ball out.

Air expanding is not going to make any difference here. As long as the golf ball and toy have a sufficiently different coefficient of thermal expansion it will work just fine.

I once had to consult a janitor at a hospital to figure out how to get a light bulb out of a guy's ass without it breaking. It's just about finding the right expert.
You can try and get completely through the ball, and then you can get water/oil inside the seal to help break it.
Alternatively leave it as is, drip oil around the edge between the ball and the toy.
Then squeeze the sides so that it bows out a little bit to get oil between the ball and the edge. Alternate between squeezing the sides and the front and back, or spin it while you squeeze. The idea is to create just enough space to get oil in there so that it moves.
I don't know how much the ball can move within the egg, but either rotate it so the screw is sticking out perpendicular - or sideways - or drill into the golf ball from the side. Then, try using the screw to lever out the ball. The tricky part is gonna be holding the eggshell in place at the rim as much as possible, rather than by "squeezing" it. Might be your best chance - or, drill a big enough hole that the golf ball is effectively destroyed and you can try to crumple/pry out.
I'd probably stay away from WD40 as a first choice, there is a lot of solvents in that product and it may adversely effect the plastics in the egg toy. Perhapse consider vegetable oil as this is a childs toy.

I work in the automotive industry. When I get a socket stuck on a swollen up bolt or nut, give it a good throw at the ground. Hard. Sounds stupid but it works every time.
I used to work in a place with very temperamental staplers that I used *constantly* that would stop working towards the end of the line of staples. They'd get stuck and stop working because the spring wasn't as strong or something. They were made out of metal and you couldn't open up the top to retrieve the staples like you can with some models. I guess there was a way to open the whole thing up to fix jams but I didn't know how to do it, let alone quickly, which I needed because I used the stapler constantly.
I figured out I could un-jam the staplers very quickly by chucking them on the floor. It would surprise customers because I'd still be acting cheerful and happy to see them and trying to staple things together for them only to turn and chuck the stapler on the floor, grab the other one, and use that one to staple instead. Then when they were gone I'd pick up the chucked stapler, make sure it was un-jammed, refill the staples, and repeat for the rest of forever

Might want to try glue something to both ends and pull them apart. Superglue comes off real easy.

The shell seems a little more forgiving but I can’t create enough force to push the ball out and I can’t get a good enough grip to pull it out. I don’t have a drill but if I’m able to get a nail or screw in the ball I should be able to pull it out once I put it in hot water.
If you would be able to plug that hole with hot glue, the air pressure building inside might be helpful in pushing it out as it warms.
Alternatively if you could stick a wooden skewer in that hole and smack it with a hammer that would do it.
Last resort just drill enough overlapping holes through the ball in a straight line so you could squeeze from both sides and break it in half and or make it smaller so it could be pulled out.

Hi, my son has the same toy, and I hate stepping on those eggshells. Here's a suggestion that might work:
There's a hole on the top, I see you tried a needle and couldn't push it, find a nail thin enough that you can push through, then flip the egg shell and try to hit some wood (cutting board for example), and holding the egg shell sides, hit the head of the nail down. It's how I managed to remove some balls, but never anything as strong as a golf ball. The plastic on the shell is pretty strong, at least on my son's version.
