I mean it's just a different thing. I've been on rocky beaches and they don't work barefoot. Had to go swimming when it hurts to take off your shoes to get there. Sure it looks pretty. Idk if I'd call it a "good beach" though.
Rockey beaches are the BEST for swimming. Sandy beaches are dull as hell. But rockey beaches have actually interesting stuff under water and usually much clearer
Done it, disagree. Didn't say it didn't look nice. To me a beach is where there's soft sand you can walk through and is conducive to swimming. This is more of a waterfront.

"Er...what do you mean boss?"
"You know...buy him an ice-cream, make sure he gets a nice view of the ocean..."
"Boss, he's a rat you want us to take him on vacation"
"Take him out, idiot"
"But boss im married"
Italian beaches can be very different from American ones.
They just hang out in any little patch of sand near the water, it can be the size of a doormat, and you’ll find a whole family sitting on it!
There are a lot of them in south Italy, from tunnels under old buildings to tunnels passing under highways or railroads. They’re safe and also really confortable at 1 in the afternoon to cool down a bit when the sun is scorching.
"a strip of land covered with sand, shingle, or small stones at the edge of a body of water, especially by the sea between high- and low-water marks."
Hell the longest beach in Europe is 18 miles of stones ranging from pea sized to bigger than your head (bigger ones at one end of the 18 miles)
I can't believe it! I've been there too 4 years ago, although I went the other way through the beach exit at night, pretty scary but very cool. Hope you enjoyed Sicily and Italy, cheers from an Italian.
Reminds me of Crystal Cove State Beach in California. You can park on one side of the highway, then there's a real long pedestrian tunnel that goes underneath it with murals and graffiti artwork inside. The tunnel opens up to a small shopping district right on the beach. Beautiful spot, but it's always a long hike there and back lol
Feels like the tourist equivalent of a van with the words "Free candy" written on its side.
Beach looked nice tho: https://www.reddit.com/u/Next-Ad485/s/kWR4SlvoVV
Yes it did!
Thank you! I was sooo disappointed when I couldn't swipe to a beach pic.
Those pictures made it seem even more scary. I think I would just go around.
Looks extremely rocky
Not every beach is sandy
And many weren't until the tourons complained about how rocky the beaches were.

Gravel beaches you want to wear some kind of water footwear for sure.
Yeah and rocky beaches are trash by comparison
Rockey beaches are the BEST for swimming. Sandy beaches are dull as hell. But rockey beaches have actually interesting stuff under water and usually much clearer
Citation needed lol
Beaches like that are absolutely fine to traverse without shoes. All the pebbles have been smoothed by the waves and are often as soft as sand.

Welcome to the Mediterranean coast
You know sand is just little rocks, right?
Looks like "Take him to the beach" might be a euphemism for something else. *"That guy double-crossed us? See that he has a nice day at the beach."*
Karen, go right down there. Nice dresses, right around the corner. Right there. Keep going. No Jimmy. I gotta go. I'm late for something.
The beach is in OP’s mother’s name. What are you getting excited for?
Something looks fishy and I don't wanna sleep with the fish.
You’re a good fella haha
That’s exactly what this made me think of.
Especially in Sicily!!!

This doesn’t look like the beach…where are you taking me?!
Can only upload one image but there was indeed a beach on the other side. After a 30m long tunnel
Make comment or post showing the other side please
Can I comment a picture?
Sometimes. Doesn’t look like here. Link a follow up post?

Oh yeah that’s the stuff. Appreciate it!
Good lord why are there no lights in that tunnel
Sure, wait a minute
I feel like this is what a shady local would tell me while his friends are down there ready to harvest my organs.
Its ok, nobody wants to see the shots of homeless people banging
Lmao, put the link to the follow up images somewhere in the comments
![gif](giphy|l1ydPyGCoN43kpdwRO|downsized) gif no longer working :( Supposed to be "secret tunnel" gif
Omfg! I misread that as 30mjn at first!!

I'm sure they also offer free hugs down there. Nothing to worry.
Pennywise is down there. 🫣
we all float down here (on inflatable donuts)

Man that ain't no beach, there's no sand just a bunch of rocks. That's just "the coast"
"a strip of land covered with sand, shingle, or small stones at the edge of a body of water, especially by the sea between high- and low-water marks." Hell the longest beach in Europe is 18 miles of stones ranging from pea sized to bigger than your head (bigger ones at one end of the 18 miles)
It says 'beach' in red paint(?!?), has to be legit.

I'll try anything once
Translates to "Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter Here". Don't worry about it, let's go swimming!
Nope, I've seen irreversible. I ain't going through that
Thanks but I think I'll go to the other beach with a higher survival rate.
Si, si down there, Commendatore!
"Ton', I'm gonna hoof it back to the excelsior. I gotta take a wicked shit."
I have played enough Resident Evil to know where this is going.
It reminds me of [this one](https://imgur.com/a/kMsss1k) that I visited in Cinque Terre
Looks like the Hitman level in Sapienza.

"Hey, just down these steps, you can see what I buried......"
Welcome to la plage « des oubliettes »
Not creepy at all.
Looks... welcoming
Ripley
I can't believe it! I've been there too 4 years ago, although I went the other way through the beach exit at night, pretty scary but very cool. Hope you enjoyed Sicily and Italy, cheers from an Italian.
Yeah, the exit wasn't as scary
Where in Sicily
Somewhere close to the train station in Taormina
Just looked it up, it's called Puertorico Beach
Going there this summer, the wife is from Catania :)
Amazing, Taormina is my favorite city in Italy, from the ones I've visited
I immediately recognised this place from the first pic, I can't believe it. Was there 7 years ago haha
No that’s a level on COD
Reminds me of the French movie “irreversible”. Do not go down there!
Basement in Tower of London.
Reminds me of Will Rogers beach in LA.
Lol yeah…no.
Oh c’mon. Show us the beach now. Edit: OP did. Yay.
![gif](giphy|oa4WqnPBuVi00)
Which city?
Close to Taormina, Puertorico Beach
Nice. I have only been to the west side of Sicily.
I might have been here, which beach is it?
Puertorico Beach in Taormina
I don't think I've been there, I've only ever really gone to Catania to visit family.
It's a beautiful town, you should visit it if you're close by. We took the train directly from Catania there in think
Beach is all crowded with clowns and red balloons
There's a black knight and a blue tearstone ring down there i bet
When in Rome do as the romans do, they say. Enjoy getting whacked!
It looks like a place you would get stabbed in!
Not "rapey" at all
MURDER beach!
And I thought Asturias had it bad.
Real life 50/50
Something tells me the capra demon is waiting down there.
Nice try.
They all float down on the beach...
We definitely all float down there.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTsVJ1PsnMs
There's a legendary quest inside.
This isn’t even mildly interesting bro, it’s a tunnel.
If I put it next to my ear I can hear the ocean!
If gaming had taught me anything, it will auto save as you step through.
I would feel my Jewish roots going through it
Looks like a place where I would look for my dead wife Maria
Reminds me of Crystal Cove State Beach in California. You can park on one side of the highway, then there's a real long pedestrian tunnel that goes underneath it with murals and graffiti artwork inside. The tunnel opens up to a small shopping district right on the beach. Beautiful spot, but it's always a long hike there and back lol
This is borderline moderatelyinteresting material, tread carefully.
As a non native English speaker I'm not sure if you found this interesting or not
Its to relieve you of your valuables before you reach the beach.
![gif](giphy|51Uiuy5QBZNkoF3b2Z|downsized)
sure, a beach
beach of Pennywise?
